This restaurant was lovely and cozy, perfect for couples, friends and families. We appreciated the friendliness of the staff, Maria was lovely. The meats were fantastic and the sides were plentiful. The cocktails were delicious and served beautifully. The quantity and quality of the food is worth every dime! I highly recommend this location for ayce dinner.

We went for a b-day lunch and our server made sure that it was a really great time! Cocktails were great, and boozy. The Gauchos were all really friendly and kept the meat coming - the chimichurri steak and Parmesan Beef were definitely the stars. The B-day churros were a really nice cap to a wonderful lunch.

It was my first experience and it was a special experience. Very good food, I like the small portions and not getting all the food too fast. Lots of options for meat and sides. Monica our server did an excellent job and she was fun to visit with. It's pricy to come back often since I don't eat that much but was worth the experience to do again one day.

It had been years since we last visited Gaucho in Canmore and my wife and I were looking forward to experiencing it again. Gaucho had been a staple of many a Canmore visit when our children were teenagers and we had nothing but fond memories. The first thing we noticed is that Gaucho is different from the restaurant it once was. Not the ambience, which was unchanged nice. Not the friendliness of the staff, which remains excellent. It was mainly the food and here really everything that is not part of the Brazilian BBQ (rodizio). Where there once was a buffet with a few options for sides, there is now only the option to order from the vast (and greatly expanded) options of salad, soup, or warm sides. These are brought on separate plates in set (large) portions and at a table for two, no more than three at any given time were possible. This was immediately annoying and we asked to be seated at a larger table. While our request was accommodated, it did not really lead to us getting more than three sides at a time. While our first order of three side salads came immediately, the further order for warm side dishes was very slow with basically one arriving when a different one was cleared. The selection of meats is fantastic as is the quality. Compared to our two Brazilian steakhouses in Edmonton, Gaucho has a larger variety and selection. The quality of all food items is very good. But the price is also far higher than elsewhere. At 75$ a person, it is 150% of our go-to place in Edmonton. All in all, going to Gaucho remains a good experience. The side dishes no longer being a buffet definitely destroyed a very important part of what we look for in a Brazilian BBQ since you are forced to take the portions you are given and can really only sample a few items from a menu incredibly diverse and also good. And stuffing yourself with major portions of sides of course also takes away from the capacity to enjoy the meats. But in the end you get great food and an experience.

Had a fabulous dinner at Gaucho in Canmore. Delicious and beautifully presented food, excellent service from the time we walked through the door, and a lovely and cozy dining space are just a few of the standouts from our meal. No one went hungry with the rodízio style dining, and the food was an excellent value for the price.
My husband and I were there celebrating our 18 wedding anniversary and we had a fantastic time. The food was fabulous and the staff, especially our waitress Dominica were amazing! I can't wait to go back again :)
