We ate here after a long day of flying, driving, and getting settled for our stay. Service was quick, efficient and friendly. I like seeing the brick oven and the cooks at work. There were lots of great combinations on the menu. Good value, too, three of us split the fig and goat cheese salad and the cheesy flatbread with pesto appetizer. I had the chicken and apple flatbread pizza. They were interesting flavors and very well executed. Really enjoyed our experience here.

Cons: - Pizza was absolutely dreadful. It's hard to understate how terrible this was. The crust was worse than a low end frozen pizza, it was flavorless and the texture was like stale bread. The beef pepperoni pizza had no cheese, almost no sauce, and was hard to eat more than one slice of. No flavor to be seen. The BBQ chicken pizza did not have any barbecue sauce at all, the chicken was tough and without seasoning and the cheese was not melted. Same story with the miserable crust.
I hope others did not have the same experience as us, but this was very very bad pizza and that overshadowed any positives of the meal.

Probably one of the worst if not the worst pizza I’ve ever had in my life. Toppings seemed to be of good quality but absolutely no flavor, hardly any cheese or sauce. Chicken noodle soup was worse than Campbells. Maybe it’s just the American in me but I highly suggest you don’t spend your money on this. Staff was nice.

Love the feel and vibe of this place. The wood fire smell permeates the restaurant, which I love. The herb salad had a fantastic dressing, but inexplicably came with pineapple pieces. No buys for that addition. The flatbread pizza was very good. Tasty. Not enough toppings but I was expecting it to be light on meats. The cook on the flatbread was amazing, as one should expect. I will certainly return to take advantage of their daily deals. My server, faith, was very pleasant.
Parking: As is usual with Canmore, the parking situation sucks. Not much of it close by and not free.

We have eaten at Rocky Mountain for years. It really is our family’s go to restaurant when we are in Canmore. That is why last night’s gluten free flatbread was such a disappointment. While the crust is usually excellent last night’s tasted like a cheap grocery store mix. The texture was pasty and really unappealing. I am hoping it was a one off but if you are looking for a good gluten free meal have the soup and one of the wonderful salads instead.

Was in Canmore for a high school volleyball tournament. Popped in for a late lunch with my two kids and my parents. Greeted by a lovely host and server. Our experience was absolutely incredible.
