I usually don't leave bad reviews, but my experience at this restaurant was really disappointing. The butter chicken was overly sweet, almost like a dessert – definitely not what I expected. The naan was burnt and so hard to chew, it was practically inedible. The veg pakoras seemed stale, as if they were made the day before. The rice was dry and lacked any real flavor or presentation. While the customer service was decent, the food was such a letdown that we ended up barely eating and just packing leftovers.

When we got there at 9:10 pm it got busy all of a sudden but the service was still fast and food was delicious.

Cancelled online order with no call. I reached out to the restaurant and they didn’t have a delivery person. Asked to go back online and resubmit again

A bit overpriced but I guess to be expected in a tourist town. Kinda insane the prices for the curries don’t include rice! Thought the chicken tikka was flavored well and the chicken was tender. Veggie samosas also delicious. Naan was underwhelming (we got the regular and garlic) - really chewy texture almost rubbery, and lacking flavor. Overall it’s just ok, especially for the price.

Delicious indian food. We got extra green chillies on the side and it was so much fun.
We tried the mango goat curry, masala bhindi, and shahi paneer. We got basmati saffron rice and garlic naan. We were a party of 5.
I recommend this place every time I know someone is visiting Banff.

The chicken was the best part! Amazing chicken briyani with truly succulent chicken. We got the combo meal (enough for 2 people!) and had wonderful service too. Highly recommend as the atmosphere was also calm and beautiful views! Raita was also good.

It is not bad, but does not deserve for this price. In Calgary, there are some Iandian restaurants sever better food but in cheaper price.
To me, the curry does not have enough herbs… the taste is too plain.

We stopped at this restaurant for brunch around 1:30 pm Sep 23 on our way to Banff. The experience was amazing and I would give 90% of that credit to our beautiful server. Sorry I don’t know her name, she was very friendly and helpful.
She was fast with the food service and also kept on asking us if we needed anything else.
The environment was very serene and we enjoyed our brunch to the fullest.
Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options do try their Butter veg korma.

Warning: Spicehut's artificial coloring is excessively used and stubbornly persistent (red color remains on skin after multiple washes). Consider your health and choose another option!
Our waitress was fantastic, but the artificial coloring issue outweighs her excellent service.
