The experience at The Local was fantastic! Not only was the service great, but the food truly stood out. My chicken burger and poutine were absolutely amazing—I highly recommend trying them!

Unfortunately the food was disappointing. Quinoa salmon salad was mostly quinoa. A few pieces of smoked salmon. No dressing?
Nachos were mostly little chips, like we got the bottom of the bag.
Service was **very** friendly though! But they got our order wrong. Busy sunny holiday . 🤷♀️

The worst place I’ve ever been in my life :(Food was so plain ,and also we have for the gravy and buffalo sauce which was irritating my eyes,how toxic it was .No recommendation at all !!!

As a 20+ year resident of the bow valley I have seen many restaurants come and go as well as food quality and prices seem to continue to spread, I found the Local to be the same. I had the local burger and my wife had the chicken burger, both were not worth the price with some bland flavors although the portions were satisfactorily. I do have to say that the service was good and the atmosphere was nice as well.

I arrived late, was so thankful the kitchen was still open! They were able to modify the meal to accommodate my dairy allergy! Staff were great. Fun atmosphere and delicious food!

Absolutely loved the local! My husband and I stopped in last month on our trip to Banff and Canmore and we were so glad we came to the local! We got the poutine, sliders and a few drinks. The poutine was by far one of the best we've ever had. I can't wait to come back the next time we're in Canmore!
Food was meh and came before a third of my tiny draft beer was gone. Everything pre cooked for sure and just warmed up. Music sucked ..couldn't wait to get out of the place.

Visited The Local for dinner one night while staying in Canmore. It was a busy place with nice inside and outside atmosphere. All food ordered was good and big portions. Service was quick and friendly as well. I do wish I remembered his name to give him a shout out - long haired, tall guy from Australia? Will visit again if we come back.

We actually ate twice at this restaurant this week. The first time was great. Food and service both fantastic. The second time we ordered the chicken sandwich with house salad which was very good, but the “Mountain Ruffage” salad with chicken we ordered was not great. We specifically chose the salad as it is advertised as being topped with “fresh blueberries and raspberries”. Sadly, they didn’t add these and apparently they were unavailable. This is strange as you can buy them in good quantities at the local Safeway down the street. The server did make the effort to look into it and brought over a small cup of blackberries, but charging $19 for a salad without these key advertised ingredients is a little misleading. It would have been nice for the kitchen staff to advise the sever in advance that they didn’t have everything for the salad and then the server in turn could have advised us, thus allowing us to perhaps choose something else. Other than that, things were okay.
