Exceptionally good. Everything we had was top notch. Balanced flavours, exquisitely tasty. Menu isn't that extensive but our group had a wide selection of menu items available, and all members of the party said it was superlative. Great service. I would happily recommend this as an event space or as a restaurant. Be prepared that it doesn't feel like a traditional restaurant. I think they are mostly a rentable event space at this point, but it's worth checking out. Reasonable prices for the high quality of the food and experience. About $120 per person if you're going all out, 1 appetizer per person, meal, dessert, and two drinks. Nice wine list. Happy we went!

I had my wedding there back in 2021. It was the best decision we have made. The staff, the venue, the food, and the drinks are exceptional!

I wanted to write about this experience for a while. Finally, here writing about our Chef’s mystery menu that was a four course amazing culinary experience. The view of the 3 Sisters from the window side sitting was gorgeous! They mostly run their event business and the restaurant is a very small outlet to get the glimpse. After we ran a half marathon in Banff, this was quite the treat. It started with an Amuse Bouche, a fish dish with crispy mushroom and a delicious salsa, , pallet cleanser (savoury sorbet), Bison short rib ribs with roasted squash and deep fried donuts as a dessert. All of these appeared in an orderly fashion and with full surprise. Our server was super knowledgeable explaining everything about each of these mystery menu items. It was quite the culinary journey and all happy feelings! Just unique! One of a kind!

We went for the second year in a row for Valentine’s. The food and service was wonderful. One of our favourite restaurants in Canmore

Waiter was great, and the appetizers were good, but the palate cleanser had something floating in it and the turkey leg was cold. For a place called the sensory, heat should be a thing to pay attention to.

Went to the sensory restaurant Dec 29 as a treat and to take a break from eating Christmas turkey dinner leftovers. We were all tired of eating turkey, mash potatoes and cranberries. Three of 4 of us tried the trust the chef carnivore's menu with the wine (cab sav) recommendation . Was so disappointed to be served a turkey dinner as our main, was heavy on the mashed potatoes and was basically a Christmas turkey dinner. Turkey dinner was the last thing I wanted to see come across my table that night. The dessert was caramel cheese cake. Neither which I felt paired well with the wine. It was just ok. Very expensive for a disappointing meal.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception here! Overall experience was amazing! The owner was very accommodating and easy to talk to. Brad and Trevor were super nice and they made sure our ceremony and reception experience was exceptional. Food was great and everyone enjoyed it! Thank you for making our wedding day very memorable. ❤️

My husband and I had our wedding reception here in June and I cannot say enough good things about this venue and Terry and his team. Terry is so personable and was always responsive from the moment we started inquiring into the Sensory. The packages were exactly as described and there were no hidden costs all over the place, which seemed to be the case everywhere else we were looking. There was so much flexibility in what we were booking, we really got to make the night how we wanted to and Terry provided his recommendations along the way. We had 32 people at our reception and it was the perfect space. The venue inside was a little warm but we had access to the balcony, and it would have been nice to have speakers inside and outside, but those weren't deal breakers at all and it didn't make the night any less special. The speakers were moved outside to the balcony for our first dance and it was a magical view of mountains and a setting sun. We were able to access the space the day before and day after to pick up our items, which was so helpful to not be rushed out and have to clean up right after our wedding. We were able to use their microphone, screen, and sound system which were easy to connect to. The prices were very reasonable and I really appreciated that even though we ordered 32 midnight snacks in advance, Terry only charged us for how many were actually ordered by guests that night. When it came to opening my last bottle of wine near the end of the night, Terry also recommended that I don't open it and just order a different drink so that I didn't pay corkage and potentially waste a whole bottle of wine. It are those little things that really make an experience special for a customer. The guests haven't stopped talking about how delicious the food was! All of it was so delicious and I, the bride, was actually able to eat and was very full. Everything was perfect!

The waiter here is very rude, I was just wandering around outside his restaurant, however he yelled at me and claimed I cannot use the bathroom (shared between a few businesses) and he even threatened me to leave saying I was trespassing while I was OUTSIDE the restaurant the whole time. I suggest firing this guy as he does not respect his potential customers. I am extremely disappointed with the way he treated people as this is not by any chance "the fine dining experience" this business claims to offer.

Me and my husband had our wedding reception and party at The Sensory in August and it was absolute perfection. Terry was incredibly easy to work with from start to finish and his team the day of was amazing.

We had 40 people in the small room plus patio and it was perfect. It felt intimate but not cramped (we even had room for the DJ we hired from home to make sure the party was the exact vibes we wanted). There aren’t a lot of venues that will let you have the space until 1:30 a.m. but The Sensory does and we were so glad they did.

The food was incredible. All of our guests commented on how delicious their meals were and my husband and I weren’t disappointed either. The Sensory’s dining menu was top tier and I would recommend it to anyone.

Not only that, Terry and his team took care of setting up all the decor and executed our vision perfectly off just a few hand written instructions. At the end of the day, I trusted Terry and his team to set up the room beautifully (like the experts they are) and they really impressed us. That said, the space truly is the “decor” with the floor to ceiling windows overlooking the Three Sisters so we opted to be minimalist with our decor and simply had a dozen 3-stem floral arrangements and a dozen candle sticks and tea lights for the tables. It was perfection.

Having the patio with the bar was a highlight, as we got to watch the sunset from the patio while sipping cocktails with friends and family.

The next day when we arrived to collect our decor and other items left behind, it was already neatly packed and ready for us to grab. We were in and out within 20 mins, emphasizing yet again how easy Terry’s team is to work with. They truly are experts!

We couldn’t have been happier with our choice of The Sensory for our wedding reception. It was such a memorable night and went so smoothly thanks to Terry and his team and we’re so so grateful for the memories.

Highly recommend!!

Not really a restaurant - just an event space. Had two reservations a month part get canceled because some group event swooped and took the space. Why bother with reservations at all? Either go full event or designate specific days for no events. To come in from out of town - booking a month in advance - only to be told "sorry" is unacceptable. Stop taking reservations if you have no intention of honoring them. "Taking" the reservation is only half of the equation. "Holding" is the other half. AVOID

Don’t even bother making a reservation unless you’re booking the entire space out. I have booked here twice and both times have been asked to reschedule due to a conflict (ie another party reserves the entire space). I booked a month out both times. This place is an absolute joke. We showed up the second time (because we had no idea it was booked again) and were turned away. The restaurant claims to have contacted me to reschedule, yet I had no missed calls or emails. This is absolutely the worst worst worst place and the staff is so rude. Shocked to see it still in business.

We booked the smaller events room and balcony/patio for a rehearsal dinner and were very happy with our choice.
Not only is the backdrop from the balcony/patio fantastic but the service we received was top-notch.
Delicious food, friendly and efficient servers, and a warm welcome from Terry created a fantastic atmosphere and an evening that was enjoyed by all, in particular by our guests from the UK.
From the initial meeting, through the booking, making menu choices, and answering our many questions, Terry was extremely helpful and accommodating of the different dietary needs that we required.
If you are looking for a location for your event in Canmore, I would highly recommend The Sensory.
Thank you for being part of our wedding celebrations.
