Terrible experience with takeout here. If you want the only flavor to be grease and salt, this is the place for you. Seriously, the salt is unreal. Portions of meat are mostly gristle and very small at that. Prepare to verbally battle everyone that works here to get a refund also.Genuinely inedible, never again. Worst chinese food I've ever tried. Over $55 of food, no soy sauce packets. Just drive to Didsbury and go to Green Bamboo.

I was driving from Edmonton to Calgary, craving something hearty, so I started googling and decided on this place. Handmade spring rolls in a small town? What?!? I can't give this place enough stars. I really hope this place is busy, because it deserves to be. Hoa Mai, you were worth the detour off the highway. Thank you for for knocking the vermicelli out of the park. I will be back.

Set in the small country town of Carstairs looking like a 60's restaurant it's comfy and the fare is tasty all at affordable prices. The owner and family are friendly, helpful, serving excellent oriental cuisine. On a cold winter evening it was a most welcome reprise from the elements outside. The soups are great!

I had the Vietnamese sub along with wonton soup. My Wife had a meal for one. Additionally we got the deep fried wontons to start. First the deep fried wontons were the best I've had in a long time and the sub was just as delicious. The next time we want Asian cuisine we will order from here again.

Since moving to Central Alberta, I miss my city favourites. Pho being one of them. I live quite a ways from this restaurant but while waiting for my car repair I wandered over to Hoa Mai and had a bowl of Peanut Sate Pho. It was surprisingly delicious. Next time I'm waiting for my car repair, I'll try one of the other Pho's. I also miss a rare steak and meatball Pho so maybe that'll be next.

First time for dinner here and the chicken su gai and mushroom chop Suey were delicious and reasonably priced. The owner served us and was very accommodating. The place was clean and nicely decorated. Will be back!

We moved to carstairs a couple of months ago and ordered some take out here today for the first time. No idea what these other reviews are, this is the worst Chinese food we've ever had. The rice is just meh and plain. I'm pretty sure the chow mein is mr.noodles. the beef and the chicken were overcooked and all batter. Just take the 10 min drive to Didsbury, it's also not the best ever but it's 10x better than this.
