“If you’re lucky enough to be in the beautiful town of Carstairs, Alberta on a warm sunny day you are absolutely required to hit up the baron. Eat at the tables outside, take it to the park, heck take it to a bench by the cemetery if you must, just enjoy this deliciousness and thank the heavens a place like this still exists. I spent two months in Carstairs in the summer of 2020 and i swear i ate the veggie burger every day. I ate so many they started inventing an entire secret vegan menu just for me. Next thing you know they were making me vegan pizza burgers, with vegan cheese and pineapples on it. Again, i was vegan and in Carstairs for two months, as you can imagine the options were pretty sparse. They went out of their way to do something special for me and I’ll never forget that. Amazing people, good food, great prices. i am a loyal subject of the baron.Vegetarian options: Veggie burgers, vegan cheese at least some of the time”

“We had an extraordinary experience at your establishment last Wednesday. The owner, who also served as our waiter, went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. When our friend's young child became overwhelmed with emotions, the owner kindly stepped in, picked him up, and took him on a brief tour, allowing our friends to have a few mins to eat their food, while helping calm down the little guy.The service and kindness we received were truly exceptional, and the quality of the food surpassed our expectations. The bruschetta and key lime pie were particularly outstanding, arguably the best we've ever had. We are already looking forward to returning for another meal.It's evident that your establishment embodies the essence of a family-run business, not only in the way you treated us like family but also in the warm and welcoming atmosphere. We truly appreciate the care and attention to detail that went into making our dining experience so enjoyable.”

“The new owners did an excellent job with the seating area in the restaurant- nice atmosphere! We had take out but will try sitting in one time. We tried the passion soda bubble tea with lychee and it was really yummy! love that they have a good variety of drinks now! We ate the #42 crispy egg noodles with a soy based sauce and shrimp and really enjoyed it- fresh vegetables and the sauce was really good. Definitely would get it again! Looking forward to trying the sate soup next time! Great job and welcome to Carstairs!”

“I enjoy dining at Friends Pizza when I'm passing through Carstairs, however I was charged more than the prices listed on the online menue. The pizza was delicious but I was mislead by the Friends Pizza web site.”

“Was working in Carstairs for a few days back in mid October. Went here once and ended up here every evening after work. Had dinners here plus hit it on wing night. Our server Shirley was great. Very friendly and brought me Coors original in a bottle so she wins!! Food was great. I had a variety from the menu, steak sandwich, burger (2 bites in then took the picture), pork bites, pizza, megaton of wings. Everything was really good.”

“Stopped by this lovely little bistro for an iced oat milk latté (delicious!). The staff is so friendly and welcoming. Theo showed me a bit around the historic building that he has restored with an obvious eye for detail. I love that they feature art by very talented local artists from Didsbury on their walls. And they have a sleek little side room that they can rent out for small gatherings or watercolor classes. The atmosphere is really nice too. Will definitely be back next time I am in town. ♡”

“Visiting from Ontario. The store was closed but the owner seen us looking in the window and opened the store for us. He let us taste and buy. Very friendly. Great tasting beer. As I am not really a beer drinker I Loved..The creamy ( mildest beat and the lemon ??. A must visit if visiting and if living in Didsbury ?”

“I had been told my lots of people how good the food is so I decided to try it for our caregiver get togethers that we have. There was over forty of us I never heard one complaint about anything. “We were a party of 6, and were able to get a table immediately. The spring rolls are the best ones I've eaten over the past 16 years that I have lived in Alberta! We ordered meal for 4, for some of us to share, the portions were generous, great flavors, and we ended up having a bit to take home after. It was very clean, and a nice, quiet atmosphere. Our first time eating here, but definitely will not be our last.”
