“I ordered a custom cake from Cake Bake Shoppe for my son’s 12th birthday and unfortunately there was a mix-up with the pickup date, so the cake wasn’t ready when I arrived. As you can imagine, that was really disappointing in the moment.

However, the way they handled the situation truly stood out. The owner and the employee at the front were both incredibly kind, understanding, and accommodating. They immediately worked to make things right and even offered free delivery. When that didn’t work with my schedule, they prioritized the order and had the custom cake ready within about two hours.

Mistakes can happen anywhere, but the level of care, professionalism, and kindness they showed really meant a lot. Their customer service was excellent and I really appreciated how hard they worked to fix the situation and help make my son’s birthday special.“

“One of my mom's friends that all of us kids called grandma used to make authentic baklava, she is from greece. I have been looking everywhere for baklava that come close to hers and this place was AMAZING! Just like grandma's♡. I am so thrilled and will be coming back regularly and telling all of my family about it!!!“

Her sculptured toppers are such good likenesses, the ingredients are top quality, and the dogs devoured them with relish. “They have gotten lazy with their layered pandan and coconut jelly deserts the last few times I have gone. Don’t get me wrong, it still tastes good, but just disappointed in the lack of care they put into making it. Just feels like something about the rest of their goods has changed over the last little while.

Also pretty disappointed in the service lately. They usually have a very lovely lady helping you out, but the last few times I’ve had a pretty unfriendly one, who seems like she hates her job and just wants you and everyone out of the store.“

“We’ve been getting the fruit cocktail cake from Forest Lawn Bakery since moving here in 2023, and let me just say—it’s become a non-negotiable for every celebration. Danny and his team are absolute masters of their craft. The cake is always unbelievably light, fluffy, and perfectly moist, with just the right amount of sweetness.

The whipped cream icing is the REAL game-changer for us—especially with small kids! It’s light, not overly sugary, and makes it so easy for everyone to enjoy (and go back for seconds… and thirds). It’s always the crowd favourite, and without fail, people are asking “Where is this cake from?!” by the time the first slice is served. Spoiler: there are never any leftovers.

He went above and beyond to ensure that everything i needed was correct and properly assembled. He shared information regarding the coffee that I purchased and able to impart his knowledge about Tims Coffee. Helping customers with a smile. This kind of staff deserves to be commended. I just want to let the manager know how he performs his job but I was in a hurry that time. If the manager happens to read this review, I would say congratulations for hiring a well-versed talent.
