“The best Filipino restaurant in the city!Now I see why this restaurant has received numerous awards.The food was delicious! I had the chicken inasal. Chicken was tender with a BBQ char on the outside. The sauce was a nice mix of sweet and spicy and they gave a generous amount of rice.One of my sides was the Amihan rice. It had a light blend of spices that didn’t overpower the taste of the chicken.There are plenty of food options for you to choose from. Anywhere from authentic Filipino dishes to a cheese burger. You can also purchased baked goods to take home.I’m surprised now cheap the food is! A standard meal with tip is still cheaper than a meal at a fast food joint.It’s a smaller restaurant but it had plenty of space between the tables. It was clean and tidy with murals and artificial plants on the walls as decor.Service was on point! My server was Bee Jay. He was highly attentive to my large group and got out the food and water quickly! He was kind and helpful with any questions we had. I hope to have him again because I will definitely be visiting in the future (there was another girl who helped him out but she was great too!).“
“I spotted Greedy Donut driving down McLeod Trail and boy this place does not disappoint!I called prior to ordering and found out that they were having a promotion of 6 donuts for $21 (although this was not online and only in store so I’m relieved I called prior to ordering :)My friend and I went to the store and loved the giant blown up figure and the fun slogan; “donut worry be happy”. They even had a photo booth to take pictures-which was really neat.We ordered the following donuts;-blueberry cheesecake-milk cream-oreo cream cheese-peanut butter raspberry-strawberry-tiramisuThe blueberry cheesecake and the milk cream were the crowd pleasers, the blueberry cheesecake had a rich blueberry filling topped with a fresh blueberry and the milk cream had a subtle sweetness to it.I would say that overall the donuts were delicious and not overly sweet.The donuts at Greedy Donut are more like soft buns with a cream filling and powdered sugar and not your typical donut shape. “About the place: it is a cozy little coffee shop, where you can have tea/coffee with a papparoti/coffee bun, and an adobo sandwich/rice plate if you are hungrier. The ambiance is really nice, modern, bright and peaceful. I love the entrance with the plants, it gives a nice vibe to the place.The service is nice as well.About the food: I ordered a pork adobo in a ciabatta bun ($12,90) and a classic dessert ($9,50).Now, because I am VN and I am used to eat spicy stuffs and dishes with strong taste, I obviously will have a different opinion than other people. So, to me the ciabatta sandwich was ok. The marinated pork has a very mild flavour, and blended with the raw carrots and cabbage and the sauce. Personnally, I would prefer something with more of a kick.Now for the dessert: it was nice, but having banana with nutella and the bun all together, it felt rather dry. Had to wash it down with my coffee, which was nice by the way. I should have tried the dessert with whipped cream and strawberries to add a bit of freshness to the dessert.Concerning the bun, it is crispy on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside. You can taste a very light hint of coffee and butter, and it is not overly sweet which is nice. It goes well with the nutella. But then again, having fresh fruits will balance the overall dessert for the better.I will probably come back to try the other dessert with strawberries.“

Way better then Subway, really friendly staff and for $8, you get a massive Sandwich. I also have to commend this establishment for putting irregular prices on display (e.g: 7.77) that come to a whole number when you add GST, as opposed to most places that add a number like 9.99 which then totals to a weird number like 10.48.Vegetarian options: Solid Vegetarian options for those of y’all that do not eat meat.“
“March 2023: This was our first time ordering from Glamorgan Bakery. We ordered a half chocolate, half vanilla cake with cream cheese icing. Not only was the cake perfectly decorated with a school bus buttercream transfer we requested for my sons birthday, but it was DELICIOUS! A bunch of our guests commented on how delicious it was and asked where we got it from. You could tell it was made with quality ingredients. I usually hate store-bought cakes. We will definetly be ordering cakes from here in future!November 2023. “I filled the price on the expensive side for macaroons and Natas (especially that they are brought in frozen). Being from Montreal, I understand there are more Brazilians over here so obviously fresher options for Natas. I was trying to get inspired at the cash to purchase some pastries for a meeting that I was attending. I wanted to bring my guests some fresh pastries, and it felt slightly awkward at the cash conversing with the cashier. Firstly, the parking situation is weird. I’m still confused whether it’s free or you need to register. I was simply going in and out with my order and felt really confused whether I should register the car or not. The two boxes that you see from the pictures ended up costing over $60, woah! I didn’t have any myself, but I hope my meeting attendees enjoyed them.“
“Getting into keto and accidentally saw this place while researching.I got the spicy big bird burger and a pack of pizza buns, they were both amazing!The only thing I wish they had was a place to sit down, even outside. “I recieved my daughter birthday cake today just 1 hour ago by delivery. I like the cake but i found that the sides of the cakes are smashed to the box which slightly damaged the dripping. “I had doubts on how a vegan cake would taste knowing through other precious experiences, it was only ...ok. nothing spectacular. Kashew bakery is unlike any vegan bakery I've ever tried - moist, delicious and still dense. Ordered the lemon cake online (a very easy straight forward process) and paid online as well. The lemon taste was super strong but just enough that you do taste it and isn't sour. The cake itself also isn't too sweet (where it feels artificial). Everything was balanced just right.Visited this spot bc as they are vegan, it is a dairy free whip cream they use. Everything tasted wonderful and just as luxurious. The pricing was VERY reasonable as well.Located inside Lina's market - go to the dessert pastry counter and ask for the cake pick up. They also have things available in store but not the large cakes. Highly recommend coming here and ordering. Super friendly service as well.“

There are not many pastries, but every piece is delicacy. This is the best French dessert I’ve had in Calgary. “I recently had the unfortunate experience of ordering a birthday cake from Sucre for a special celebration, and I must say it was a disappointment from start to finish. The entire process, from placing the order to the delivery, left me frustrated and dissatisfied. Firstly, I ordered the cake well in advance to ensure it would be delivered on time for the birthday celebration. Unfortunately, Sucre failed to fulfill this basic expectation. The cake was not ready and to make matters worse, it was delivered frozen. This unexpected twist was not communicated beforehand, and it left me scrambling to find an alternative dessert for the celebration. Upon contacting Sucre's manager/ owner Yin Sung to express my dissatisfaction, I was met with indifference. She offered no sincere apology for the inconvenience caused and merely explained that the cakes are delivered frozen to ensure freshness. To add insult to injury, Sucre was unwilling to provide a full refund for the subpar service and the inconvenience caused. Instead, they offered a partial refund, which I found inadequate given the magnitude of the disappointment. A company that prides itself on delivering exquisite cakes should also prioritize customer satisfaction, especially when they fail to meet their own delivery commitments. In conclusion, my experience with Sucre was far from satisfactory. The late delivery of a frozen cake and the lack of a genuine apology or a full refund left a bitter taste in my mouth. I would caution others considering Sucre for special occasions to think twice and explore alternative options that prioritize both quality and customer service.“

Then I had an idea to have a small second cake, just for the 2 of us to share and to include in photos before the wedding (during first look). Monique created the most insane cake I've ever seen! They were willing to stay open a bit late so I could pick up an order after hours. Their donuts are great, very unique flavours. The texture of the donuts is very chewy and soft! It was also very busy. If you want some of these donuts, I highly recommend ordering ahead of time. It was an extremely snowy day when I went there, I even got into a minor car accident and yet I still pushed forward to get these donuts. There was a line up on this snowy day too! They’re that good and their service is great!“
