“The owner was really nice. I have recieved the best customer service in this since i have arrived in canada. Bhart was really nice and easy to talk. They even let me stay in their shop for 3 hours while i was waiting for my friend.
Cake was also very nice. He even gave me some free sweets to eat while i was waiting. They also put the cake into freezer, so it won't when i have to drive for 3 hours from calgary to my city.
I really appreciate the kindness he showed me. Thanks

“Very cute and comfortable coffee shop. There are lots of unique drinks and really, really good coffee. They also have a few choices for breakfast, and the one I had tasted really good, but I thought it was a little expensive for what you get. They also have a flower shop inside. I would definitely be back to try the other drinks.“

“I've always loved Papparoti from Dubai and was happy that they have it in Calgary. They even made it better because of their ice cream buns, the ube and mango are not to be missed.

“Today was our first visit to this place. We ordered anday wala burger, chicken bread, chaat, onion rings, and karak chai. When the food was served, my first impression was this food looks good. When we started eating, I was very impressed with the authentic taste of each item. Everything was great. I never felt so close to karachi authentic taste of street food in Calgary. Mr. ALI, the owner was extremely polite. We couldn't thank him enough before leaving. Will definitely come back and try other items on the menu.“

“I had brunch a few days ago with a friend at Cafe le Matin, and the cafe is not only a lovely, cozy nook, but the food- paired with the cheerful and relaxing atmosphere- is probably some of the finest I've had from local cafes. I had the Cafe Sandwich and it was simply exquisite. Ham and onions cooked to perfection and very filling. I positively envy the locals who live close by that get to indulge in all of the amazing food and service the place has to offer!“

“Went with a friend earlier today, we were welcomed with a friendly smile and polite greeting by one of the staff immediately, which was refreshing. Browsing the menu was easy and we were offered help promptly, though we didn’t need it. The menu sported a variety of yummy treats, drinks, snacks, and even meals, though I only tried a ginger cookie and the “Calgary fog” tea today. My friend tried the peanut butter-marshmallow square and a hot chocolate. The staff was kind enough to serve our drinks to us at the table we chose!! We were both very pleased, the drinks were lovely and the treats were tasty. The location has a busy parking lot, but overall is convenient as it’s close to transit and the parking lot may be busy but does usually have room for parking in spite of that. Despite the shop itself also being busy at times, I noticed the staff working hard to keep everyone happy, behind the counter running smoothly, and keeping the area tidy. Overall, a great little coffee shop with a lot to offer and fantastic customer service, I will definitely be returning and 10/10 would recommend!! (This review has been cross-posted.)“

“Walking by and saw there was a small cafe. Stopped in as I only had a few minutes. The quiche Lorraine was very tasty. Cashier was very personable, pleasant and informative.

“my all-time favourite cafe in yyc. i adore this place, it’s like a portal to me.. i’m in calgary one second.. and then i walk into higher ground and boom i’m in nyc now. also speaking of walking in can we talk abt the entrance??? like wow its just so cute and fairy tale and magical. it’s in the perfect location too, so the window seats on the inside have the BEST view, esp at night ahhhhh. i just love the vibes in here, tuesday open mic? love it. friday live music? love it. the seats? love it. the ambience is truly unmatched, the interior & the lighting is just chefs kiss. i basically live here, i talk abt it every chance i get ????

wish there were more outlets, but there’s enough to get by & it’s a fast paced cafe so ppl are constantly coming n leaving so there’s always a chance to get one of the tables near an outlet eventually.

i would rate this place a 5/5 if only the food was better. the food is pricey but the quality is only decent n honestly not my favourite. still a 5/5 in my heart tho bcs the pros severely outweigh the cons.

i will say their hot chocolate (i think it was a maple bacon hot choco) for yyc hot chocolate fest was AMAZING! i rmber thinking i wouldn’t like it bcs i mean.. bacon in hot choco?!? but boy was i wrong. it was the best thing ive ever had, i wish they sold it on the regular. their typical hot chocolate is still good tho.

“Found this shop after looking for stores that sell Yugioh cards. We had already been to a couple before this one but Metal Galaxy is definitely our favorite and within walking distance! After finding it we visit multiple times a week. The owner is also super cool, better than any other person we've met working at the other card shops as he actually knows about the different card games and talks to you. We end up buying Yugioh singles, booster packs, boxes, card sleeves, and card portfolios. They have a points system where you earn points that you can redeem for store credit when you earn enough. We earned so many points that one day we walked out with singles that we bought with just points alone. Definitely the card shop you want to be a regular at.“

I asked about gluten free options for a friend and staff was so educated and honest, they had gluten free but couldn’t guarantee it had never been touched by flour, it was so nice to have that information as my friend is extremely sensitive. “I met a friend here for lunch on a Thursday. We both hadd a soup and grilled ham and cheese combo, which was very good, the sandwich was grilled to perfection. There's a full deli available and the location is licensed as well. Service was was
very friendly and quick, food was brought to the table. It's a small ish place with about 4 indoor tables and some outdoor seating in the summer. Maybe it's more take out at colder times of the year? A welcoming atmosphere“

We tried a brownie, a cinnamon bun and a blueberry cream danish (the latter was my favorite by far). we also got amazing drinks, I dont think I've ever had anything like that before (i cant recall the name but one was a Peach Matcha drink). “3 stars for food as I only had the chai latte and my friend got the iced matcha latte and a chocolate croissant. The croissant looked so good, I was almost tempted to buy one! The place is on the 21st floor of the Edison building downtown, and It's so fancy! The staff (only saw 1, behind the counter) were so polite and quick to attend to us. There were a few other people there with their laptops. The view of the downtown area is amazing from there. Overall, it's chill for a very business-esque café. I'd recommend it.

Gian explained to us the different flavors. patiently and professionally. We got the White Taro and it was an excellent choice.

We live in the north but surely worth going back to.

“I wanted to thank the owner of Congress Coffee. On October 23, I was flying to Edmonton and my flight was cancelled. The airline wasn't helpful and I was going to be delayed 24 hours. I had to "sleep" in the terminal. I took at taxi to Red Arrow in the morning and went to Congress Coffee for breakfast. After listening to my story, the owner gave me breakfast and a coffee free of charge. It was a very kind gesture after a very challenging evening. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.“
