I have bought their light roasted coffee beans for years. Always consistently roasted, have not had a bad bean in years. Very common with some roasters.
The price is very reasonable and the coffee is the best. Their service is fantastic and always professional.

“Had the flight of Coffee one way and was able to really enjoyed the subtle notes of flavor in at the start of the flight and the intense kick you in the face notes at the end of the flight.

Very well roasted. Service was amazing, kind, knowledgeable, and attentive. The vibe of the place is really awesome. Have I had better cups of coffee yes but not with welcoming and relaxed vibe of this place. It was refreshing to be in a local coffee shop that didn’t make me feel like I was bothering them. This place has an amazing vibe that makes you want it to be your third space. Highly recommend you stop by.“

“Phil & Sebastian Coffee Roasters — If you’re a fan of donuts and great coffee, this place is a must. The lavender donut is light, refreshing, and delicately fragrant. The Boston cream donut is hands down the best I’ve had in Calgary — rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced.

I ordered a cappuccino with almond milk, and it was expertly crafted — aromatic, flavorful, with a beautiful latte art design that reflected the barista’s creativity. The only downside was the takeaway cup. I personally enjoy savoring my coffee in a proper ceramic cup when staying in — it adds to the experience, and I missed that here.

“The accessibility of the location is perfect for study sessions in the library. The reg/dark roast coffee is what I usually grab and the price works for me as a student.

Unfortunately, I purchased a cookie on two different occasions at different times and was disappointed that the cookie was as hard as a rock. I asked if the cookie was fresh on both occasions and was told that they are indeed fresh……

“Phil & Sebastian, not to be confused with the similarly-named indie band Belle and Sebastian, is pouring some high-quality coffee in the Simmons building food-a-palooza. The other is crafting indie pop in Scotland. Their logo, Phil & Sebastian's that is, is a bunch of interconnected ampersands so sufficiently twee that it's likely Phil & Sebastian would get Belle and Sebastian's seal of approval. One would hope.

Anyway, the coffee pairs really well with pastries from Sidewalk Citizen. Mix and match as you want.“
