“I wanted to thank the owner of Congress Coffee. On October 23, I was flying to Edmonton and my flight was cancelled. The airline wasn't helpful and I was going to be delayed 24 hours. I had to "sleep" in the terminal. I took at taxi to Red Arrow in the morning and went to Congress Coffee for breakfast. After listening to my story, the owner gave me breakfast and a coffee free of charge. It was a very kind gesture after a very challenging evening. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.“

“I want to gatekeep this place because it just keeps getting busier and busier every time I drop by. Sometimes it gets loud in there but that's not on the store, that's jus the nature of acoustics when there are many people there. No fault on the cafe, just a heads up.

I LOVE that I can go to a stand alone store to get my Viet coffee fix and I really do enjoy it. I usually get the afternoon coffee or the salted coffee. Both are GREAT. I have also tried the matcha (good!) and the roasted milk tea (so thankful for this).

It's hard to make these drinks dairy or lactose free without destroying the essence of the drink so keep your lactaid pills on hand.

I've also tried their egg tarts and croissants as well - I prefer the egg tarts bc I can't normally get that. They've expanded their menu to include more food items (asides the snacks in the display), so if you're hungrier they have options.

The bathrooms are spacious and most importantly, CLEAN!!“

“Service is friendly and prompt! The cafe is at the bottom of the Plains Midstream Plaza so there are often office workers visiting. The ambience is usually quiet and good for getting work done. I got the matcha oat latte and it was alright. The oat milk is a bit thin. They have a small selection of baked goods. Next time I would try something other than matcha.“

“Best burgers and panini’s out there, excellent staff, reasonably priced. I was hooked when they originally opened and make a pilgrimage when ever possible from west coast. Unfortunately I missed seeing Nick or John, but it is wonderful too see their success.“

“A bright, open coffee shop with friendly staff and plenty of space to sit and enjoy a coffee with friends, or watch the world go by. Lots of natural light, and the tables and chairs are well spaced. The iced latte I had was delightful, and I got a tasty pear and jam grilled cheese to go!“

“I've always loved Papparoti from Dubai and was happy that they have it in Calgary. They even made it better because of their ice cream buns, the ube and mango are not to be missed.

“Fantastic coffee shop and roaster. Kind of a purist’s spot for espresso - as opposed to looking for a 32 oz caramel Frappuccino or whatever.

I loved being offered so many different bean options for my black espresso. The folks working there were knowledgeable and super friendly.

I had an espresso and cortado - both were fantastic. Also tried one of their everything croissants - not for purists, haha - and it was very good.

I’m only in Calgary for a couple of days but I hope I have time to go back before I leave.“

“If you are looking for a different culinary experience, Primary Colours is a must. From the moment we walked in, the service was impeccable and respectful! Each dish was so flavourful and satisfying. We had the Candied Hazelnuts and the fries as the snack foods. We had the Small Plate Ginger Beets. For the Large Plate options we chose the Burger Beef Dip and Mushroom Cannelloni. Dessert was the cheesecake and the Not so Lemon tart with Saskatoon sorbet. The unusual flavours were absolutely delightful. We will definitely be going back!“

“Such a great dining experience! This place does not disappoint. Delicious pizza: pepperoni, chilies, and local honey. Their gelato is homemade. They had two delicious flavors, vanilla & pistachio, We dined outside for a late lunch a pup friendly patio!!! I like their inside decor. An outdoor enhancement, I suggest black Pergolina with twinkle lights over your rows of picnic table seating, would make the space even more intimate and impressive. We will be back!“

Parking: 11th always have tons of places to park along the road for 2-3hrs for only a couple of bucks.“

“The horchata at Good Earth is quite good – refreshing with a nice balance of sweetness and spice. While it tastes great, I’m not entirely sure if it’s worth the price point, as it feels a bit on the expensive side for what you get. However, the customer service really stands out. The staff are friendly, and I had a positive experience when the gentleman gave me a pass for the washroom, which was much appreciated. Overall, it's a solid spot for a treat, but it might leave you debating its value.“

This is what my 5 year old daughter had to say: “I LOVE this place! Everything is amazingly delicious! I had so much fun that I wish I could come every day!” On the picture with her, are the sweetest people you will ever know, Zakaria and Abier - also owners of this lovely place. Customer service is impeachable, the place is just so beautiful, the location is so nice! Perfect place to go by yourself, with your family or friends (if you have a dog, also welcome, which is just another plus!!!) or even if you are looking for a nice space for small team meetings… close by you will also find a playground and a little dog park. And… super close to the river, so you can also go for a nice walk, just have a lovely day… 100% recommended!“
