“This Mediterranean deli is so completely underrated. It has hands-down, the absolute best Shawarma and Food in Calgary. Don’t even try the others. They’re Shawarma are packed with so much meat and their prices are incredibly good. Pita bread is fresh oh my God I’m salivating just thinking about it. I’ll travel an hour for one of their Shawarma they are that good.“

“The best cafe I have been in Calgary.

The mango-coconut muffin and the latte, just amazing. The muffin especially, was perfectly sweet, which brought out the flavours so well. The mango filling in the middle and the mango chunks in there, just heavenly. Such a great ambience. Super clean, great service. While I was here, I felt like everything my eyes fell on was put there with so much care and purpose. It’s so great to be in a place that someone has put together with so much passion for the work they do. Because the entrance to the cafe is not through the front, but through a side door past a main door, anytime someone opens the door you are not startled by the road noise. As someone who loves to be in places with minimal noise interruptions, I really appreciate the tiny little bell when the door opens. It just makes the sweetest little ‘ting’ as compared to the loud electronic‘TING TONG’. The song was played on the perfect volume too, not overwhelming the space at all. A more selfish part of me wants to keep this cafe a secret for just myself. But a better part of me wants everyone to know. And an amazing cafe like this makes me want to get a loudspeaker out and just scream out the great things about this place, till everyone gets Frida’s mango muffins.“

“This is honestly the best Subway location I’ve ever been to in Calgary. The store is always spotless, and the food is consistently fresh the bread is fluffy, the veggies are crisp, and everything tastes amazing every single time. They’re also very generous with their portions, which makes a huge difference in the quality of the sandwiches.

They always wrap everything with care so nothing falls apart, and their hygiene and presentation are excellent. They have mixed up a few of my online orders before, but despite that, this location still deserves a full 5 stars. The quality, freshness, and service here are unmatched.“

“I want to go back here and have the best chicken and waffles I've ever had. And it can happen! The spicy chicken and waffles on their menu has almost every piece of that puzzle mastered. Fantastic waffles. Hands down the best sauce and other accoutrements on any chicken and waffles I've ever had. The cilantro and jalapenos and the sweetness of the waffles go together perfectly!

And then it's topped off with chicken fingers.

Nicely seasoned chicken fingers, mind you. And ones you'd get from a diner, not from your own freezer. But chicken fingers.

There's no way that kitchen doesn't know how to make good real fried chicken. Brine some boneless skinless thighs in buttermilk and pickle juice. Dredge and season and so on. I know they can do it.

And if they did, this would be literally the best chicken and waffles anywhere. But instead it's chicken fingers.

Please fix this, I beg of you.“

“Doesn’t get better than this Montreal Smoked Meat stacked way high. Hello Executive Cut!!! Food was delish, family was happy and the staff were super friendly. Made me a little homesick for Montreal and the old neighborhood.“

It was my first time trying crab, and I’m glad it was in this place. The tuna and salmon were really flavorful, you can just taste the freshness. I did regret not ordering the tempura udon because it sounded great, that gives me an excuse to come back though, so it wasn’t a total loss.

That being said, the establishment makes it perfectly clear that due to its small space, you do need a reservation. Luckily, we did make one, but knowing me I would’ve just barged in and things could’ve gone side ways.“

“We went for the celiac safe reputation but will return for the amazing food, fantastic staff and inviting atmosphere! Dairy Lane has been moved to the top of my breakfast/lunch list. “Just wanted to say we drove from Vancouver Island BC today and after we checked in to our hotel we walked over. I wanted to visit last time here and never got the chance. It was priority #1 this trip and couldn't be happier. 1st! And most important! CARRIE WAS AMAZING! FRIENDLY ATTENTIVE QUICK EXPLAINED THE PROCESS TO THE TWO NEWBIES, DUSCUSSED EVERYTHING WE ASKED AND DID NOT MAKE US FEEL RUSHED. YOU ARE LUCKY TO HAVE HER! SHE MADE THE PLACE FEEL LIKE WE WERE AT A 5STAR RESTAURANT. We were in Vegas a few weeks ago and Carrie gave the same if not better service than we had at Hells Kitchen. Please thank her from us! Dinner did not disappoint! Blueberry burnt ends? Cmon ! Awesome! Brisket turkey shrimp each were fantastic. That vinegar sauce? Feel free to ship me a bottle or a case! Lol. “Amazing date night Notable Restaurant My husband and I went on a flavor vacation tonight at Notable, and the first stop was the Embered Oysters. O. M. G. These little beauties left us speechless. They were baked in rich chili garlic butter, with delicate ribbons of spinach. We then both ordered the tenderloin. My husband went for a side of the baked potato, but this wasn’t your average russet with a dollop of sour cream…this was a big, glorious red-skinned potato loaded with house-made sour cream and a bacon vinaigrette that should be its own food group. Every bite was salty, creamy, buttery perfection. He added a horseradish sauce, which was less like the nose-tingling stuff you think of and more like a gravy-meets-horseradish situation. Paired well with anything it touches. I went for the potato gratin, which was life-changing. It was like biting into a cheesy, salty, melt-in-your-mouth potato cloud with the most perfect crusted cheese top. We also ordered the half lobster (flavourfully baked and fell out of the shell) and the beets…which I loved the first couple bites however, I like the earthy taste highlighted and they were glazed in a blueberry maple glaze that was a bit too sweet for me…perfect for my husband. He happily finished them off while I went back to my cheesy cloud. By the end of the night, we were already planning our next visit because our taste buds are basically addicted now. And shoutout to Ashley, our server, who was attentive, hilarious, and the cherry on top of a perfect dinner.“

“Establishment has long been one of my favorite breweries in Calgary and I'm just seeing that I've never dropped them a review. The awards they continue to rack up are not surprising. Absolutely love going for their side-poured Czech-style beers which they do better than anyone else in town. They'll even get you a slow pour if you ask (even though I'm sure it's an annoying request).

While it's definitely a beer nerd's paradise, they have a selection of canned non-beer cocktails and also have a delicious slection of light beers and beer slushies that are often appealing to the non-beer lovers in our group.“

“We were on our way to the Calgary Tower before heading back home from a vacation in the Canadian Rockies and found this little gem. Our server Ella, helped us to navigate the menu and choose a wine. We started with squash blossoms which were among the best we have ever eaten (we owned a restaurant and made them each season). My wife had the trout with peas and risotto. The risotto was cooked perfectly al dente, texture was creamy not soupy, great flavors. I had the angel hair pasta with vegetables which was also cooked al dente and the flavors of garlic, lemon and cheese made it superb. I read a few negative reviews about price and value and not certain why. I can only say that the menu was creative, our food and service were excellent, it was priced fairly, and all in all worth it for this type of high quality experience. Bravo!“
