“First visit here tonight, the beer was great (definitely try the Sahti!) and their bread and meat board was something else. However, I think my highlight here was the staff. The head brewer (owner I presume?) gave me a quick education on brewing Sahti and their baker chatted with us about how she makes her amazing bread and all the other in house items she makes. 100% recommend this little brewery and will definitely be back“

“Excellent taproom with a great beer selection and delicious food! There’s lots of space on the patio and inside, with friendly staff and a down-to-earth vibe! The Tallgrass Tango Mango Wheat Ale in particular is amazing, and the pretzel bites are the perfect snack for an afternoon visit!“

“A buddy and myself popped into 88 brewing Co on Thursday afternoon for a couple Night Galleries. This is a great brewery with a great selection of beers. The name is based on the 1988 Calgary Olympics, and those are the colors that were used back then for the tickets, the clothing etc.
However, the beer is always fresh and tasty, and the service was super quick. Our bartender was really friendly and knowledgeable.
Pop in when you can, or ask for and an ‘88 when you’re at your favorite pub.

“Their beers are some of the cleanest, freshest, beers I have ever had. By this, I mean the overall styles come through beautifully. Hazy Pale and Smoke Porter are outstanding. You won't go wrong giving this place a try or finding one of their beers.“

“Establishment has long been one of my favorite breweries in Calgary and I'm just seeing that I've never dropped them a review. The awards they continue to rack up are not surprising. Absolutely love going for their side-poured Czech-style beers which they do better than anyone else in town. They'll even get you a slow pour if you ask (even though I'm sure it's an annoying request).

While it's definitely a beer nerd's paradise, they have a selection of canned non-beer cocktails and also have a delicious slection of light beers and beer slushies that are often appealing to the non-beer lovers in our group.“

“Lancaster was smooth aftertaste - good for sitting by the river says JT the bartender. Sampled a couple other drafts - all with their own smooth taste. Ate chips and charred onion dip which went well with the beer. Fitting music. Open area and patio. Coming back again.“
