“Great place. There were a ton of different drink and non alcoholic options, great Taco and snack options. It's very bright and cheerful. There are quite a few board games and a shuffle to play with and even crayons and markers. The entire place was very clean and the staff were super kind and friendly. It was fairly busy and our food still came out quickly.Kid-friendliness: The board games and shuffle board kept the kids busy for a while which was amazing.“
“What a charming space! The Kensington Pub is super cozy and nicely decorated. It feels like you’re in a friendly village and you’re in the local pub. We ate upstairs and had great service! Our breakfast included the Full English breakfast add black pudding, the KP Eggs Benny over Yorkies, and the Scotch Eggs. Scotch eggs could’ve been more heavily seasoned for our personal preferences!Great value for what you get, awesome service, and a really neat atmosphere. Would come back again!“
“We walked in for lunch today only to see there were no lower tables that would accommodate a wheel chair. We turned to leave and when we were outside, a fella came out to ask if we were looking for a lower table we said yes. He said come back in, we will find something for you. A lovely lady a d her daughter moves to a tall table so that we were able to have lunch. Thank you so much! The service was was great, the food was delish ! Oh and the coffee drink was also amazing. Thank you again !“
“Our waiter was fantastic - super quick service, really friendly, and super helpful. The drinks were good, though a bit heavy on the ice. Food was on point - loved the burger, fish and chips, and the steak was delicious. Amazing service all around. Will definitely be back!“
“I cannot say enough about Hannah!! This girl took all 8 of our orders without writing a single thing down and didn’t skip a beat!! We ordered more food and once again it was on point! She remembered everything! The kitchen was also fantastic as the food was delicious!! Honestly one of the best experiences at any restaurant we’ve ever had! Thanks guys for a great dinner!“
“these owner George and Peter took money for foreign worker and they abuse the foreign worker not following the IRCC rules , Karma coming soon hit your door soon , please value Calgary customer please don't tip here these owners taken all the tip they never pay back of the house“
“Love this place, very "everyone knows your name". Love the free pool and the juke and the servers are bomb. Everyone mingles and has a really great time! Highly tecommend for a night out for casual convo with your people. It's a good time.“
“Went for brunch/lunch with my mom, husband and kids. They have a large menu with something for everyone and the prices are very reasonable compared to other pubs. Our server was friendly and attentive. The food came out fairly quick and tasted delicious. It’s great that they are kid friendly on weekends. I would say the only small hindrance was that there weren’t many low top tables (for wheelchair bound customers like my mom). But overall an enjoyable dining experience and we will definitely go back!“
“Have only ordered take out but the food is always amazing, value for the portions are great and arrives quickly. One feedback though: Please add Extra Fries as an add-on option to your Skip the Dishes menu! Your fries are delicious and I always want to order extra, but don't need to have a second entree, would happily pay extra as an add-on though!“
“Visited with my daughter. The team was friendly and attentive. we sat on the huge patio, it was so lovely. my daughter had the beef dip and I had the steak and ale pie, I have to say it's the best pie I have ever had! we had a few drinks too, very reasonably priced. As we were leaving the manager took the time to ask how our visit was, a lovely personal touch. Bringing the husband next time! He needs to taste that steak and ale pie!“
“This location is what I understand under new management. Hopefully things don’t change too much regarding flavour of food. Want in on Wednesday wing night. No plates for the fries or the discarding of wing bones. And to say no wet naps are available for customers to clean our fingers? Please have the staff write down the orders of customers when ordering. Let’s not get Hartell messed up. Sucks to get the wrong order of food and or drinks. Step up is all I can say. Will attend again.“
“It's a bit of a dive, not a lot of seats, however!!!! $35 on Friday night which gives you 20 wings (cook made to order!!! LOVE THAT!!!! Thanks Jordan) 2 pints, a basket of fries and gravy plus a 20% tip to a sweet server named Courtney...you can't beat that!!!“
“The food is good here, price is a bit high. The Cesar salad is a disappointment. Watery, no flavor. It definitely came from a jar. That needs to be dressed up a lot, garlic, anchovies, and parmesan cheese needs to be added. The salad its self could use a little work too for the pride. Thin purple onions, black olive slices, capers, parmesan chips, anchovies.“
“Awesome food and tons of great, classic arcade games! You have to pay for the games, but you can do an unlimited timed play card and a group of 4 of us shared that and it was fine. You do have to wait a couple minutes between swipes though. Their Sunday happy hour ($5.5 everything in 2024) is a great deal for beer too!“
“The Philly steak sandwich I had was to die for. I already want it again and I had it a week ago. Service was average and the music was way too loud for a Saturday afternoon but that all doesn’t matter since the sandwich was so effing good.“
“Shout out to all the staff that worked sat evening. Myself and a few girlfriends were in town for a concert and a bite to eat. All the staff and management went out of their way to make sure we had a great experience. We had a blast and the wings were top notch ?Thank you so so much!!Gwendlyn Drever“
“We celebrated St Patrick's Day at this Pub and the service, the food, and the atmosphere were all wonderful! Our server Amanda was very busy but she was still very friendly and always made sure our drinks were full and our bellies were too. The Irish food was amazing. Kudos to the chef! Steve the manager was awesome too, giving out all the free swag. I loved how they had Irish music playing and even had Irish dancers come in to entertain us. It was a wonderful Saint Patrick's Day experience and will definitely be back.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible.“
“I'm on a special diet due to injuries. Had to take my car into a shop cost by and was told it would be 3hrs so I came here for a bite. Great service and the food was good, too. I explained my situation and they were lovely and accommodating. Other patrons that came in, it was so nice to hear everyone getting personalized care. Very old school dinner feel.Dietary restrictions: They were accommodating for mine.“
“Smaller yet cozy neighborhood pub. Clean inside and friendly staff I've always found. Have some good specials and host karaoke as well during the week. Have been here a few times and never had a bad experience. Not very big space but still good to try out for a drink or two.“
“I’d like to respond to a 2 star review. I can understand being confused about where you can and can’t go with your kids.Any pub that has VLT’s can’t have children.Any pub that doesn’t have VLT’s should be able to children until 8pm.It’s disrespectful to take out your understanding about your new rules as a parent on an establishment obeying the laws.I found the food, staff and environment thoroughly enjoyable and will definitely be returning.Added personal bonus is my favourite beer on tap..lol“
“Given how costs are as of late.Food is fairly priced for what it is tho I'm not and never will be a spolumbo fan so kinda sucks that the menue is heavily focused around spolumbo / sandwiches tho the fried / wings and postings are honestly well worth the price and taste much better than other pubs in South calgsryBeer sucks there are no steins / schooners as they would be much more worth it but the beers are honestly not bad and the price isn't bad either.Atmosphere is great not the same music that gets old quick when you hear it over and over everytime you go there plus a mixup from older style rock and such to new age so it's honestly nice for a allrounder“
“Bottoms Up Pub is a hidden gem with wings that redefine delicious. Lynn, the talented cook, adds her magic touch to every bite. The wings are a true culinary masterpiece, leaving me eager for another visit. Bottoms Up Pub is now my go-to spot for a delightful dining experience.“
“I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this take out. Lived in the area for a few years and disappointed hadn’t tried this restaurant before. Ordered the Greek and Sweet Chilli Wings with a Spicy Meatball pizza. The crust is so good on the pizza with a great combination of flavours. The flavouring of wings was great. Such a good amount of flavour and crispy, will completely recommend and be ordering again.“
“Great place, I've become a regular after moving to the area in October. It's cozy with a nice atmosphere, and the happy hour specials are amazing. All servers and bartenders are very nice and I'm never left waiting too long.Only minor critique is the food. I'm a vegetarian so I usually just get the beyond burger or nachos - the beyond burger is nice and juicy, but the nachos are often layered oddly with most of the ingredients at the bottom and the tomatoes making the bottom layer soggy. Will absolutely keep coming here though, it's nice to have such a cozy little pub in the area. Decent beer selection too. Their house lager is the Phillips Tilt, and they have a good rotating craft selection.“
“I like the place and staff were friendly. You should try Nachos and The Captain's fleet especially Raspberry one.We had the pleasure of being served by Alyssa. She was incredibly attentive, fun and near at hand to take our orders or keeps up with drinks.“
“Went to a birthday party on Saturday night and had a great time! The live band was very good (not too loud, not too quiet), the line dancing lessons were fun and added to the atmosphere, the drinks were good, and there was a free pick up service with party bookings.“
“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Wow, Rozzini's just brought a burst of Mediterranean sunshine to Southwest Calgary! This Italian-Greek-Indian fusion spot is a game-changer. The cozy atmosphere makes you feel right at home, and the food? Simply divine! The service? Super friendly – they make you feel like family.Share this gem with your friends, and let’s get the word out about Calgary’s newest culinary hotspot!“
“Stopped by here after having passed it a few times on the road. My only regret is not coming here sooner! Delicious food, very friendly service, great atmosphere!I had the Fried Pepperoni and Fish and Chips, and my girlfriend and I shared some fried pickles. The Fried Pepperoni was so simple...yet so delicious! The mustard dip was so complex and delicious and the pepperoni had so much layers of flavour! The Fish and Chips were fantastic, a classic English style that you can't go wrong with. The Fried Pickles were also great, and the dill dip was addicting! (The dill dip also goes great with the fried pepperoni!)Overall I will definitely be coming back here, likely regularly. I can't wait to try everything else on the menu!“
“I’ve seen a bunch of punk bands here, it’s a true bar staple of Alberta, the staff are great, the music and acoustics are amazing and you can’t beat the atmosphere, just a solid 10/10 place, also it has the best pizza when intoxicated just saying.“
“I love the city of Calgary, and my favorite pub to visit while I am there is Mugs Pub!The quality of service is simply exceptional, second to none! Not only is mugs pub affordable, friendly, and local, the food is absolutely scrumptious!Mugs pub is hands down, my favorite pub in Calgary, arguably in Canada! Can't wait to see the wonderful staff and regulars during my next Calgary visit!“
“Stoped in for a Saturday afternoon and enjoyed some great customer service.Sure is nice having attentive prompt service. The food was delicious with large portions. Wor Wonton soup and American Werewolf burger. Looking forward to the next visit!“
“Just had delivery of a double pepperoni, double mushroom pizza and a garlic parmesan cheesy bread from Beckham's Pub. Asked for easy sauce on the pizza (we're of the age of heartburn) and extra garlic on the cheesy bread. Justin made it all happen, it was all excellent. All of their food is top quality!! Thanks again Justin. You're the bomb!!“
“We went after dinner at Korilla for a few more brews with the bros. Good selection of local brewery offerings and I was happy to go with Banded Peak's Micro Burst. Hazy IPA with a good hint of citrus and tropical juiciness. Now my new favourite!“
“Old fashioned bar in Inglewood with reasonably priced food and drinks, a pool table and dart boards. The food is decent and in addition to the regular menu there are always daily specials, and they change them frequently. They sometimes host live music or comedy, and the event schedule is posted on their website. The floor is divided in semi-separate “wings” so you can find a quiet corner if you want to. Sitting by one of the large bay windows up front is good for watching the activity unfold on 9th Ave.Good hangout spot.“
“It’s true what they say— there is only ONE Swigs. Calgary’s first ever neighborhood pub lives up to the billing and beyond with a great atmosphere, unbeatable beer specials, and a wide menu that has incredible depth. The steak sandwich was cooked absolutely perfectly to medium rare, and the stadium nachos were a steal at only six bucks. You never know who you might run into! Highly recommended.“
“Honesty what amazing staff very attentive and just overall kind. Me and my buddy came in for a steak this past Saturday the 9th, both of are steaks ? were cooked to perfection coated perfectly and seasoned. I definitely will be back!!! Cheers to the Chef ?? ?“
“My visit to National on 10th was delightful! Our server, Taryn, was incredibly kind and attentive throughout our meal, making the experience truly enjoyable. The food was delicious, and although the atmosphere was lively and loud, everything else more than made up for it. We’ll definitely be returning!“
“I was tasked with finding a place to have dinner somewhere between the airport and downtown. Our family, like most I suppose, have varied palates. Pub food always seems to be a safe middle ground. Had never been here before, but reviews were good. It is, in fact, a pub. Traditional pub décor, in a traditional pub setting (this is Calgary, so a strip mall). We were presented with menus, and informed of the FULL KETO MENU! WHAT? I've been on very low carb keto for months. And to my family, I am the most annoying person in the world. My choices at restaurants are very limited, and I whine loudly about that. A full keto menu? Apparently the only one like it in these parts. Everything you'd expect in pub food, but KETO. Now, this place also has a regular menu, for those of you who want to poison yourselves with empty carbs and sugars. Bless you. Laureen our server (who I suspect is also the owner given the pride she showed in her service and products) was a gem. She spent a inordinate amount of time with us explaining the menu and business model. The food was solid pub food, good quality. No complaints. Very good. BUT DID I MENTION IT WAS KETO WITH A CARB COUNT NEXT TO EACH ITEM?! Amazing. Even keto adult beverages! Laureen, I hope you liked us. You'll be seeing a lot of us. For those who want a solid pub experience with excellent service, go here. For those who have embraced the lo-carb lifestyle however, this place is such a relief. Carb counts on good quality, heavily researched food at a reasonable price. Choices. Wow. See you soon Laureen.“
“Have eaten-in and ordered takeout here. Service is okay, atmosphere is kinda your typical sports bar vibe. The pizza here is fantastic, and quite well priced. Really wish they would create an online order system for takeout, or at the very least answer their phone. Having to show up, order & wait is a bit cumbersome. It's fairly close for me, and I'd certainly order more often if it was convenient.“
“We were with wonderful friend at a concert at Bells and then went to The Dining Room at the Inn for dinner. On Sundays they offer three differenrt entrees with a bottle of wine for couples at the amazing price of $95.00 per couple. We had the steak and sides. We ordered salad and dessert and had before dinner drinks. Total bill with 18% tip was around $169.00. Totally reasonable!Tge setting isively. Tge room was full of ambiance, our server was lively. All 8 of us hadivrlh neals snd a great evening filled with love laughter and fun.Parking: Parking lot is under construction. Street parking is readily available wheelchair friendly ramp at entrance. The dour is very heavy! This building was part of Curry Barracks, the old Army base! Brought back lots of memories I was raised on Canadian Army Bases!Thank you for the great salads, food, desserts and wine! We wilk be back! Some of us have booked for their New years Eve event!“
“The atmosphere is not the best, but the pizza and service are amazing! I love the dill pickle pizza (sans bacon), tons of pickles and cheese...oh so delicious. It is a fun spot for a quick bite and I will definitely be back or order to go as it is some of my favourite pizza in the city. It has a unique flavour from the beer infused crust.Dietary restrictions: They will let you add or take away items on a pizza no problem.“
“The wings here are better than the much-lauded ones at Mugshotz. So far, they're the best Wings I've had at any pub in the city, and I'm informed that they've won awards. The karaoke is great and the deejay works hard making sure the mix is good for each individual singer, something I've rarely seen.Friendly staff and customers. Free pool, too.“
“We came on a Friday evening, and it was extremely busy, so we sat in the patio on a cold day. Allyson was our server and she was so bright and friendly, her service was incredibly fast and amazingly accurate. When we indicated we might prefer to sit inside, Allyson was so quick on the ball and found us a seat. My wife and I would come back to ship and anchor anytime for Allyson's incredible service and the amazing food. Also the Birria Beef Dip will literally change your life it is so good.Dietary restrictions: Many gluten free options including chicken fingers!“
“I always think of Harry's when there (previous name). All good minus one bartender that usually works Friday nights. He is always adjusting himself, picking his nose, scratching his head, and never seeing him wash his hands. That is the only big disappointment. Food and service are great.“
“Great little bar, good food, good prices and staff are amazing get down and meet Wesley for all your drinking needs the man is amazing. Bar it self good seat it’s small but don’t let that get to you because it’s full of heart. Karaoke nights every Friday and Saturday! What more could you ask for in a local pub.“
“We went here on wing night on a Thursday and the food and service were both great. At no point did we have to wonder where our server was. They cleared any dishes right away and always asked us if we wanted another drink before they were empty. The space is set up decently with a nice layout, lots of TVs around and they have plenty of VLTs. My only criticism is that their windows are very small so there isn't much natural light. Overall, I will be going back.“
“Stopped by with the wifey for a little day date and had a great time. The suicide wings had a decent burn rating and the mango chipotle were really good also. We would have enjoyed trying more of the cocktail menu but to their credit it got pretty busy during lunch so we only tried the strawberry vodka iced tea and the coconut margarita. Our mains consisted of the beef dip and the fish and chips and we were not disappointed.“
“Nice neighborhood pub that serves cold affordable beer, not much more you can ask for a neighborhood pub. Place was fairly clean, definitely overdue for some renovations, however if that keeps the cost of drinks down I'll live without. Would recommend if I was in the area.“
“I came in tonight with a group of friends and Stephanie served us! She was amazing at her job and kept the whole table entertained and satisfied with everything our entire stay. In the past we haven’t always had the most amazing experience here but tonight was such an exceptional time thanks to Steph. We will be returning in the future!“
“First visit to Calgary, we're walking down the Center street looking for grub. We fall upon the Local Public Eatery. Quick check up on Facebook and it's very well rated. in we went. Decor is like a Ranch meets Sports Bar. Warm and welcoming. Great staff with wonderful service. You can also play Jenga while you wait. • Good Burger but not mind-blowing. utilitarian. • VERY GOOD Onion rings. So much so, we had seconds. • My girlfriend had the Steak + Frite. The fries looked a little anemic but turned out great. crunchy but not dry and very flavourful. the steak was super tasty and was like butter in the mouth. • Accompanying sauces with the steak and the rings were also quite delicious. And we got to see a real life cowboy. In the end my mind wasn't blown, but it was far better than average and I would go again easy.“
