The presentation is unique, the service is amazing, and the atmosphere is breathtaking.
One of the not many places that has comfortable couches to relax in. I absolutely love this place and bring everyone of my family and friends for a drink when they come to town.

“It was a perfect breakfast for the three of us before we dropped out daughter off at the airport. I had my traditional two eggs over easy with toast sausage and bacon. The two others had some wonderful eggs-benny. My eggs were perfect, the toast was perfect, the bacon was crispy, and the sausages were spicy and succulent, making for a delicious meal. Arlene was wonderful throughout the whole meal so thanks to her especially!“

“Let me start by telling you about the buffalo chicken mac and cheese poutine - absolutely delectable. Some may say scrumdididilydumpsious. The mac and cheese was ooey gooey, cheesy greatness. The acidity from the buffalo chicken sent electric currens through my body. Don’t get me started with the gravy… ay papi. Eat here if you want to feel your soul touch the heavens.“

“It was good food once we were able to order, and finally received the food. We had a reservation and the table was dirty when seated at it, had to ask them to wipe it. The host gave us some menus & water and then it took quite some time before being met by a server to order drinks. There was only one bartender/ host and 2 servers...could have possibly used more staff to accommodate all patrons in a timely manner. We had to flag the server down to get the toppings we ordered for the tacos (and were an extra charge), and also had to flag her down to order a 2nd drink. We were trying to be patient and kind but overall we felt frustrated by the 1st time experience here. Maybe if a New Year's Eve, would suggest one or two more staff members.“

“Sound Room in Calgary is such a cozy, chill spot. The atmosphere is warm and intimate, with low lighting and a laid-back energy that makes you want to settle in and stay awhile. The music and overall vibe feel thoughtfully curated without being overwhelming. They also have some really solid drink options, especially if you like something fun and easy to sip. On top of that, the staff were genuinely friendly, kind, and welcoming, which really elevated the experience. A great place to unwind, connect, and enjoy a relaxed night out.“

Quite a lot of rare wines here, including a Suenen Robarts - how did this rarity travel all the way from France without anyone having drunk or stolen it?

Cold cuts, sardines and cheese served, the place is full of young young, smiling people listening to unobtrusive music.

“The food was incredible! Really interesting dishes that were truly delicious. Portions aren't huge so for two people I'd recommend 3-4 dishes at least. It's also not cheap but the quality was there, at least for the food. It was a bit slow to come out.

The souffle was incredible, really interesting texture and cheesiness. I really enjoyed the duck pie as well, it has a great combination of flavours. The monkfish was incredibly buttery and perfectly cooked; the side vegetables equally good. The cake was phenomenal as well.

Service was decent. Our waitress knew the menu, food was brought out as soon as it was ready, and they checked in the right amount plus refilled waters. Tip started at 18%.

The atmosphere was okay. The art is interesting and I like the open kitchen. It was freezing and a bit loud and bright.

“As someone who enjoys good food, good atmosphere, and staff who enjoy their time sharing their experiences, I would highly recommend coming to see the establishment and it's team.

(Before I even knew who owned the place..) I was informed by the team about the heavy involvement that they play in deciding the menu, protecting the atmosphere, and had a great time seeing the excitement on the faces of the staff when asking for recommendations.

The team is tight knit, the food is on point, the staff are knowledgeable and kind, and I've never had a bad experience, meal, or conversation when attending The Banquet.

“Absolutely loved this place. Everything on the menu is vegan, which is already amazing, but what really stood out was the quality of the cocktails. Honestly, some of the best cocktails I’ve had not just in Calgary, but in Canada. Every drink was beautifully balanced and clearly made with a lot of care and creativity.

Josh, the bartender and owner, is incredibly talented and passionate about what he does. You can really tell he puts a lot of thought into every drink. Katie, our server, was also wonderful, super friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better.

Whether you’re vegan or not, this place is 100% worth visiting. If you enjoy creative, well-crafted cocktails, I can’t recommend it enough. I’ll definitely be coming back.“

Khiana really was amazing and the food was so delicious. Call ahead and try to plan something there and they may be able to arrange a surprise for you.“

“First visit to Greta for happy hour. Booked a standard table but were given a high top (if this matters, confirm on arrival). Note they do enforce the time slot for each reservation, so be sure to use your time wisely for gaming and socializing. Food overall was good, nothing stood out as superior but tasty. Desserts were disappointing (would skip next time). A number of games were out of order but I suspect that might always be the case with the volume of play. Would return for another day based on the weekly specials.“

Also Cara or whatever her name is, defined what it is when you have quality service. I don’t like Cara anymore because she has ruined my expectations for service anywhere going forward as anything else will be a disappointment. “Very nice selection of drinks focused on Japanese whiskey, but with a nice variety of other drinks. The Negroni was very tasy. Service is excellent, atmosphere is great, record player on the bar providing a nice back drop.

“Came by for their free mini taco event and tried some of their other food and ciders. Highly recommend the guac and chips as it was quite tasty, as well as the Horchata and Pina Picante cider if you like a bit of spice. The burrito was pretty good but could use something refreshing (found out after that there was sauce/salsa available after I had almost finished the burrito). Overall a nice place for some good food and drinks. Worth a visit.“

“I’ve only been here a few times, but every visit has been great. The service is always friendly and attentive, and while I haven’t had a chance to try the food yet, everything I’ve seen coming out of the kitchen looks pretty good. The place has a great vibe with fun games on the electronic dart boards and pool tables to keep things lively. The staff—especially the girls working the floor—have done an excellent job from what I’ve seen. I’ll definitely be coming back, and next time I’m diving into the food menu!“
