“By far the best Desi food ive had in Canada, id say.
The owner, Br. Ahmer, went above and beyond to make sure my family and I felt welcomed and at home - since we were visiting from Vancouver.
Rajas Grill is the spot you wanna go to for Desi breakfast as they have a wide variety of breakfast options and mouth watering and tender BBQ.
10/10 would still be an underdeserved rating. These guys deserve all the love they get.

“One of my favourite korean bbq places!! We always get the Combos and this time, I didn’t know it was happy hour (12-3pm). We had 10% off for our meal and we also had free bingsu. Cyrus was very attentive and kept checking on us. It was a really good experience, as always.“

I have been coming here for over 20 years now and can say that it is the best value Chinese BBQ you can get in Calgary. I wouldn't say they are necessarily the best Chinese BBQ but it is very good. The meat here is on the leaner side compared to other places like Sun's BBQ Restaurant next door. The lunch box option is always a great value for when you want a simple, filling, and cheap meal although it doesn't come with any vegetables. The interior has no seating and there is usually a line out the door. The owner speaks perfectly good English and also Chinese. You order by telling them which meat you want by weight or if you are getting a lunch box, just which meat you want.
I have tried everything over the years and here is my take on each item:
Roast Pork: Crispy skin and the owner will cut off some of the fat between the skin and the meat making it healthier but also leaner. The meat itself is on the drier side and had a moderately spiced flavor. Would recommend!
BBQ Pork: The meat has a moderately spiced flavor but I do find it personally to be too dry for what I like in char sui. It has very little fattiness.
BBQ Rib: This is quite similar to the BBQ pork except it has more fattiness so it is a bit more juicy, it is also coated in more sauce which gives it a stronger flavor. The downside is that there may be bones you need to work around.
BBQ Sausage: Probably one of my favorite Chinese BBQ sausages in Calgary. You get a moderately-strong flavor and is not too fatty and not too lean. The casing has a nice chew/snap and the texture is consistent and not too smooth which I prefer. Would recommend.
Soy-Sauce Chicken: Personally I'm not a fan of Chinese BBQ chicken so I don't typically get this. The flavor is nice and the meat is very tender and soft. The meat also retains a lot of moisture so it isn't dried out at all. However you do have to deal with bones.
Duck: The most expensive option here, the skin has a light crisp and the meat is tender with some bite and a nice flavor. As usual, you will have to deal with bones and they don't offer this in a lunch box option.“

“Just wanted to say we drove from Vancouver Island BC today and after we checked in to our hotel we walked over. I wanted to visit last time here and never got the chance. It was priority #1 this trip and couldn't be happier. 1st! And most important! CARRIE WAS AMAZING! FRIENDLY ATTENTIVE QUICK EXPLAINED THE PROCESS TO THE TWO NEWBIES, DUSCUSSED EVERYTHING WE ASKED AND DID NOT MAKE US FEEL RUSHED. YOU ARE LUCKY TO HAVE HER! SHE MADE THE PLACE FEEL LIKE WE WERE AT A 5STAR RESTAURANT. We were in Vegas a few weeks ago and Carrie gave the same if not better service than we had at Hells Kitchen. Please thank her from us! Dinner did not disappoint! Blueberry burnt ends? Cmon ! Awesome! Brisket turkey shrimp each were fantastic. That vinegar sauce? Feel free to ship me a bottle or a case! Lol. I do smoking meats etc and I get the craft. I enjoyed it all and I get picky!. Thanks from Vancouver Island BC!“

“My friend juwan introduced me to this place, and I got mad at him for not introducing me sooner. I love the atmosphere and the relaxing music in the background. The service is very fast and the owner is always so sweet and kind whenever I visit, always greeting me with a smile and giving me a snack to eat while I wait for my food to arrive, providing the best service possible.
The food is extremely good, both taste and portion wise. The chicken is always crispy and juicy, and the portions are really good, especially with how low the prices are.
One dish I've personally ordered before was the popcorn chicken bowl and not only was the chicken huge, the bowl it was served in was packed to the brim with rice and vegetables. For only 13.99 I got a whole meal and a half's worth of food. The sauces they have are also amazing, whether it's on the chicken itself or on the side, it never misses.
10/10, will visit again very soon <3“

“visited from out of town ; came during happy hour so our meal ( app/ main/ side/ drink) was inexpensive compared to Toronto prices haha , excellent meat cuts , portions were great, sides were perfectly hearty, servers had awesome recommendations , sauces were well chosen, ambience & restaurant culture was perfect , my group thoroughly enjoyed our time!“

“I’m from Edmonton and happened to stop by this place while visiting Calgary. Unfortunately, I arrived pretty close to closing time, so dine-in was no longer available. But the staff was kind enough to offer takeout, which I really appreciated!
We ordered a variety of charcoal-grilled skewers. The skewers were definitely the highlight flavorful, smoky, and nicely grilled. The grilled oysters were also really good, and everything was still delicious even as takeout.“

“Great hole in the wall bar and grill on 17th Ave SE. The staff were very nice, atmosphere was enjoyable. The music wasn't to loud so you could have a conversation without screaming. The food was great. Got the 5 Apps for $38 plus a large chicken caesar salad and a burger with fries and gravy. The gravy reminded me of the very yummy high school gravy, which I was very pleased to find out. ? ? ? ? ? ? onion rings, potato skins, deep fried pickles, and the steak bites were all so good.
Had ro take a couple of boxes homeof leftovers but so glad we did. The burger was even better then next day for dinner. First burger I've ever had that you could eat the day after. ????
Will definitely go there again very soon, and always remember to bring cash, it's the best currency since we have to have one.

“The best chinese-vietnamese bbq place in town. Their bbq pork (charsiu xá xíu) is amazing. They usually sell out of food fast, so come early. Their sauce is actual drippings from the meat, not some concocted soy sauce mixtures as in most bbq places.
Like any other vietnamese places, cash only.“

“Ok so this place is inside Tops supermarket, inside Central Landmark Mall. Took me forever to find it. Food is pretty good. The crispy pork is best, amazingly crispy, maybe the meat is a bit dry. Duck is good. Cha siu is ok. Lunch combo is a great deal. All in all a pretty good deal for the amount of food you’re getting. Cash only.“

“Big shout out to Chris and his team at Big T BBQ in Mahogany! We had them provide 6 pounds of pulled pork, buns, Mac and cheese, coleslaw. Everything was prepared to perfection and ready for the time we asked. They even went above and beyond by providing paper plates, napkins and cutler, which made it much easier on our end. Would highly recommend their services for any gathering you may have where food is needed!“

“I can’t rave enough about Rocky Mountain BBQs team. We hired them to cater our wedding near Longview last week and Braden the owner was so patient with me throughout the process, with multiple emails and questions. Braden was professional and kind, and never made me feel like I was a bother (even when I probably was a bit annoying). The team they sent on the day of were wonderful. They were professional, kind and engaged even in some personal antics put on by my sister for a keepsake photo album for the wedding. To top it off, the food was AMAZING. Roast beef, chicken, Mac and cheese, Caesar salad and garlic potato’s. No complaints from any of us or our guests. Everyone left with full bellies and smiles on our faces.“

“We ordered as a company for our monthly appreciation lunch. The food was great. Everything I ordered was included. They did mention that their food is slightly spicier but did a pretty good job at making it milder. The only item that was on the spicier side were the beef seekh kababs (they did mention this to me prior, so we knew to expect this). The butter chicken was really great. They were generous with the food portions - we had plenty leftover. Overall, the staff really enjoyed the food. Service was exceptional!“

“It was really sweet that they prepare the churros for my brother's birthday. I went there right after their opening time so everything was super fresh and the meat was so juicy. They don't have a buffet style side dishes and have them on the menu in two different size and they bring it to the table. I thought that would be nice, but a little lack of choices and variety. Otherwise, server was so so attentive and friendly, she was very professional and knows what she is doing. Great experience!“

“I recently visited Gogi Resto in Calgary for some Korean BBQ, and it was a great experience overall. The restaurant had a lively atmosphere and the food came out quickly, which is always a plus for an all-you-can-eat spot.
The selection of meats was fresh—especially the pork belly and beef slices, which cooked nicely on the grill. I also enjoyed the fried chicken and sides; the kimchi and dipping sauces added a lot of flavor to the meal. The lettuce wraps were fresh and perfect for balancing the richness of the grilled meat.“
