The engironment feels welcoming when coming in and when it was cold outside, the servers really welcomed us especially the server Angelica who made us feel warm after coming from the winter weather. Would definately recommend this place for a cold night out.“

The owners are lovely and make me smile: it had been at least a year since I visited one time and I walked in (while they were busy with a line, mind you) and they immediately recognized me and greeted me by name and remembered my usual order. Amazing.

“Nice new Katsu spot in Royal Oak area. The price is very reasonable, good portion too. Super busy for take out and such, good for small family or friends dinner, wouldn’t recommend for large groups based on their capacity. Happy to revisit for sure.“

“Ordered a mild version of their jjamppong. They definitely didn't cheap out with the ingredients. The noodles had real crab, shrimps, mussel and octopus. Flavourful soup with 2 side dishes (radish and macaroni). Very impressed with the taste and quality.“

I think all food chains should have a portable buzzer to notify them that food is ready for pickup. Most haven't caught up in modern times like Asia. But it's great to see this place has. “In bow vallet square, +15 connected food court. Has lineup. Fast assembly line. Good number of topping extras, and you chose your heat and meat. Lots of sauce. I like sweet and found it very sweet, the chicken was too sweet, but still okay. Value good for current prices, around $12.“

We got the T1 set meal that comes with 2 Medium bowls of jajangmyeon and tangsuyuk, then their shrimp dumplings as an appetizer. That being said, price is by no means a showstopper, especially if it's on Wednesday which is 50% regular thick sliced pork belly.

“This is a cozy Korean restaurant and I love it! I ordered pork bento box, it’s a bit spicy as it is marked on the menu. The rice isn’t the best, a bit dry to me. The plastic box is cheap looking. Other than that, the meat, salad, glass noodle and dumplings are all good. We also ordered the sweet and spicy chicken. It comes with big portion even its half size. The peanut on the source makes this dish special.“

“It's a cozy Korean bar/ restaurant that everyone is friendly and foods are great. We had seafood jjigae and slow cooked pork belly with some drinks. Everything is good but my favourite is jjigae. I would love to go back when I am in the area.“

They are in business for a longtime and branched out to different places within Calgary. Friendly staffs but this place in particular is tiny so prepare to put your name down on the waitlist, or go to macleod or down in SW area.

“Went at 11:30 and beat the lunch rush. First time trying here and it was so good. I had the traditional bibimbap. It comes out in a hot stone bowl and sizzles. Meat tender and tasty. Veggies still crisp. Rice cooked perfect. I’m so impressed I’m likely going back tomorrow! The hot sauce they give makes it even better!

“I recently discovered Tugo and it has quickly become my go-to spot for take-out! The Korean fried chicken is absolutely delicious—crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. They have a variety of flavours, but the honey butter coconut\ is my favourite. The rice bowls are also amazing, with generous portions and fresh ingredients.

I appreciate the quick service and the friendly staff who always make sure my order is perfect. If you're looking for a great place to grab a quick and tasty meal, Tugo is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommend!“

“First time at Roy’s Korean Kitchen in the district for a quick lunch. Service was good, price was high but understandable in today’s economy. I ordered the JapChae Bap with Bulgogi beef. This bowl was full of flavour! The noodles were soft, the rice was fluffy and the beef was nice and savoury. The mushrooms added a nice touch of flavour as well. I can’t wait to come back and try something else.“
