“There are so many good reasons that this place is 5-star rated with so many reviews, and is my favorite shop that I've been to.

Jun, Jay and Ron make this place a true gem to visit, and I've been going every week for almost 3 years now. Their service always goes above and beyond any other shop I've visited before, and you can feel the passion that they share for their craft. The food is always incredibly delicious, the portions are big and filling, and they will gladly help anyone new to the shop pick the right options that'll give them a tasty meal.

I can't sing their praises high enough, and I'm thankful to have found such an amazing spot to enjoy week after week. Give them a shot - you won't be disappointed. “My friend juwan introduced me to this place, and I got mad at him for not introducing me sooner. I love the atmosphere and the relaxing music in the background. The service is very fast and the owner is always so sweet and kind whenever I visit, always greeting me with a smile and giving me a snack to eat while I wait for my food to arrive, providing the best service possible.

The food is extremely good, both taste and portion wise. The chicken is always crispy and juicy, and the portions are really good, especially with how low the prices are.

One dish I've personally ordered before was the popcorn chicken bowl and not only was the chicken huge, the bowl it was served in was packed to the brim with rice and vegetables. For only 13.99 I got a whole meal and a half's worth of food. The sauces they have are also amazing, whether it's on the chicken itself or on the side, it never misses.

“I ordered the regular flavor Jokbal (braised pig's trotter).
It came with Jokbal, Jjolmyeon (spicy chewy noodles), Tonkatsu (pork cutlet), rice cake skewers (Tteok-kkochi), Ssamjang (seasoned soybean paste), salted shrimp sauce, raw garlic&jalapenos, Tonkatsu sauce, pickled radish, macaroni salad, and romaine lettuce.
The moment my daughter saw the rice cake skewer, she immediately grabbed a piece and ate it.
It tastes exactly like the authentic flavor you'd get in Korea. In fact, if this place were in Korea, it would undoubtedly be a famous gourmet restaurant.
I am deeply grateful to this restaurant for letting us enjoy 100% authentic Korean flavors right here in Calgary, not even in Korea.
Also, slicing Jokbal this thinly is an incredibly difficult task that requires highly advanced knife skills.
The combination of the Jokbal and the salted shrimp sauce is simply perfection—it completely washes away all the fatigue of the day.

And it goes without saying that the staff are incredibly kind.“

“It was our first time here, and we are officially hooked!! Hands down, one of the BEST restaurants! The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff were amazing. This was our first time trying Korean food, and the staff went above and beyond with their service and made us feel so welcome.

We ordered the garlic fried chicken, spicy beef soup, and fried chicken, and EVERYTHING was phenomenal!!

My only regret is not taking photos before our meal. As soon as the food arrived, it was so beautifully presented and smelled so incredible that we completely forgot about taking pictures!

It’s a family-run spot, basic in setup, but that’s exactly what you want from a street food place, and the warmth of the owners more than makes up for any lack of frills.

I’ve been coming here almost every week for a year now, and the longest I’ve managed to stay away is three weeks. The menu covers all the Korean street food staples, but I keep coming back for one thing: the Bulgogi Kimbap. It’s become my ultimate comfort food, the kind of thing that genuinely makes a bad day a little bit better. One thing I particularly appreciate is that they skip the burdock root, which makes it even better in my books. Dine in and you’ll be treated to a bowl of their fish cake soup on the side, which is a lovely touch.

And if you’re taking it to go, keep an eye out for their adorable kimbap-themed takeout paper, a small detail that shows just how much care goes into the place.

“Had a great warm welcome into Calgary on our first night. Stumbled upon this restaurant after landing and was greeted with incredibly hospitality.
The dishes were fantastic, flavor, generous portions, great sides, it tasted like momma's home cooking.

I'd say outside of meat bbq options are a bit limited, but what was available was truly delicious.

The beef bone soup is very sweet and delicious, and the jokeal are tender and taste good. Water-cooled noodles are super good! Every side dish is very good with the meal.

“Asadal is a truly authentic Korean restaurant serving fantastic, comforting Korean soul food. I was pleasantly surprised by just how good everything tasted! We ordered the gamjatang, kimchi jjigae, and seollongtang, and every single dish was exceptionally delicious.

I only wish we had a spot like this back home in the US—if we did, I’d probably end up eating here every day. On top of the food, the service was wonderful. The servers were so kind, welcoming, and friendly to my toddlers, which made the meal even more enjoyable.

I don't live anywhere near the farmers market but anytime I go near there I will be stopping and picking up an order. The spicy sauce is sweet at first but then has a spicy kick but it's not out of hand so I think just about anyone could enjoy it.“

“Definitely room to improve! We ordered the Jajangmyeon unfortunately when it came out it was lukewarm. The other two dishes we ordered the tangsuyuk and garlic shrimp came out nice and hot which is what we expected. Flavour wise I have noticed much change but I will have to try other dishes on my next dishes.

Their knife skills also needs some work as I noticed the picked daikon they sliced by hand by not consistent enough.

“Had a great experience at this Korean restaurant. The soups with rice were absolutely delicious! We orderes S5 & S8, they are rich in flavor with nice layers, yet not overly salty.

My family also mentioned that the restroom was very clean, which is always a plus.

Service was solid too. As soon as we arrived, staff greeted us and kindly asked us to wait while they arranged a table. We were seated pretty quickly, and the menu and water were brought to us right away. Overall, a very pleasant dining experience.

“Chung Chun was a great place to grab a quick and delicious bite! The food was really good, and I especially loved their whole mozzarella sticks—they were definitely my favorite and something I would come back for. The prices were also fairly affordable compared to other places offering similar Korean-style street food, so I felt like we got good value for what we ordered.

I would definitely recommend being patient with the staff, especially during busy periods. There may be times when only one person is working and orders take a little longer to prepare, but there are plenty of seats inside where you can comfortably wait. I especially want to commend the staff member who helped us during our visit because even when things got busy and orders were taking longer than expected, he remained empathetic and did his best to help us. It was understandable given that he was handling everything himself.

Parking can be a little difficult because there are only a limited number of spaces directly in front of the store, but the restaurant is located within a larger parking lot, so finding parking nearby shouldn’t be too much of an issue.

Overall, I had a really good experience and would definitely come back every now and then, especially for those delicious mozzarella sticks! It’s a great spot for an affordable snack or meal, and the food is definitely worth trying.“

Ended up grabbing a couple of their chicken burgers (reg) and from those alone my wife and I plan to return because it had so much flavour. Personally their chicken burgers are better than KFC after they replaced the Big Crunch to a basic filet burger.
