“After trying many Korean BBQ places in Calgary, this one is easily the best. Truly the best.

I have been here twice, and both experiences were excellent. The service was consistently attentive and friendly, the food was very fresh, and the restaurant itself was clean and well maintained.

One thing I really appreciate is that the beef is not overly marinated or drowned in heavy sauces. Since we work out regularly, this lighter preparation is much more suitable for us, and you can really taste the quality of the meat. The ventilation is also good, so the smoky smell is not overwhelming compared to many other BBQ places.

It honestly has all the strengths you would expect from a great Korean BBQ restaurant. During winter, the window seating can be a bit cold, but once we mentioned it to the staff, they immediately offered to move us and even cleaned an extra table for us. We truly appreciated the effort and kindness.

“Im from Winnipeg, Manitoba and I recently visited Gogi Korean BBQ on Brentwood. My friends and I had a great time because the food is fantastic. Classic Korean meat and sauces but my favorite is the Spicy Dak Bulgogi and deep fried squid for appetizer.

Another great thing about this place is the service. Lyonel was warm and welcoming. He's amazing, very attentive, and always address our orders and requests right away.

Ambiance was nice and it's not too hot compared to other Korean BBQ places.

“Really great little place. I came in for the lunch special and was not disappointed. Really good value for how much food you get, and the quality is all good. You get a really balanced meal, filled with protein, fibre and carbohydrates. You can taste the heritage and tradition in all the side dishes. The beef was charred just right to give a perfect balance of sweetness and bitterness. The interior is simple and charming, and the staff are friendly too. Couldn’t ask for more.“

“Pretty nice and quick food court option in downtown. Had the combo which was beef, ribs, and chicken that came with 4 sides. Really liked the potatos they have. They have a few sauces you use at the counter in addition to a nice teriyaki sauce they have.“
