“Best Vietnamese Food in Calgary!“

“Hurry here before the line is blocks long...If you have ever been to New York and eaten at Xi'an Famous Foods this is almost identical. The best hand pulled noodles I have had in North America by a long shot. Excellent texture and balance in all dishes, clearly made with love. Fast, polite and efficient service. This is a gem in the Calgary dining seen, and while some may want more seats in the restaurant I hope they never change.“

“I love the variety of different asian dishes served at Nans as well as their frozen section that displays other vegan options from local businesses like Canela. I would highly recommend trying their vietnamese subs, brussel sprouts, and their drumsticks!“

“2nd time going here with my boyfriend, food is always super yummy and the staff are very nice!! We got the T1 set meal that comes with 2 Medium bowls of jajangmyeon and tangsuyuk, then their shrimp dumplings as an appetizer. I didn't have many photos but I think it's worth going here if you want to try authentic jajangmyeon for the first time :)!“

“The best hotpot in Calgary is our family’s go-to place on the weekend. It has a good atmosphere, and the staff is kind and helpful. The food is fresh, as always, and the prices are reasonable. A big shout out to Jessica and Liam for the best service!

“There wasn’t much of a wait time and the food was really nice when it came out it was hot and toasty. If you don’t like loud atmospheres then this is the restaurant for you it was really quiet and really peaceful

“Lots of ramen in the city and while Wakado has good ramen, there was nothing that really stood out.

Food: Solid ramen. Broth was rich and flavorful. Noodles were cooked well. Pork was a bit too fatty for my taste.

Service: Great. Food came quick and servers were attentive.

Atmosphere: Small and clean. Nice big table for social gatherings.

Value: Reasonable. Portions were typical of a ramen place.“

“One of our few regular go to sushi places. We typically order the agedashi tofu, mixed tempura, salmon sashimi and special rolls. All great. Very efficient service (kudos to the kitchen staff) and servers are excellent, headed by Mina who is both friendly and welcoming. Place is small so make reservations on Fridays and weekends in particular. Try it.“

“I eat a lot of Pho. Tons.

This is the best, OG place to get it in the deeper south. There's a distinct lack of gold Vietnamese food in this area of southland this one beyond all others is the best. It's made how I expect it, like various other restaurants in the NE.

The other dishes also are superb. Portions are more than what you pay for and the quality is top.

The restaurant is as traditionally Vietnamese (see: authentic) as it gets. It's got some storage problems but anyone who's complaining about that hasn't been to a good Vietnamese restaurant. IYKYK.

Friendly folks working a family shop, so eat local and enjoy.

“First saw this place in September of last year, regret not going there sooner. Got the Grilled Vietnamese beef sub which was amazing, and it was one of the countless options on their menu. Friendly hardworking people running the business, a go to lunch spot during the work week!“

“My family and I are regulars and the food is always delicious! My personal favourite place for Chinese food in all of Calgary. The staff is great too, very caring and welcoming. We come here so much that they know our order and who uses/does not use chopsticks haha. Love this place!“

“The salted crispy chicken and beef noodles were done well. The fried salted crispy chicken was soft but not overcooked. The half-pound and half-meat noodles with beef tendon and beef were also soft. The xiaolongbao was just average, far from Taiwanese xiaolongbao. In addition, the sesame paste cold noodles are also ordinary.

“Casual casino spot you’ll guess, but honestly the BEST WONTON SOUP & BEST BEEF BREISKET SOUP IN CALGARY! Can’t stop raving everytime we visit for food and casino is the plus. Can’t wait to try more of chef tommy’s pan asian specialties! Best in Calgary easily! I know its surprising :)“

“A highlight here is they bake their own pies, so it's not generic grocery store pie but real pie! The Blueberry pie was delicious and distinct tasting. Good diverse menu options. Dinner comes with a fresh baked bread roll with butter. Entrees tasted good, not gourmet or anything, but like a standard average to good meal. I tried the reuben sandwich, it was on the saltier side but still alright. The salmon and veggies was done well.“

“In a city with so many options for pho its easy to settle for locations closer to home/work. Whether you're close to Pho Thanh or not it's worth the trip. Very traditional pho, clean broth with good quality ingredients. Some reviews mentioned lesser service quality but I've always had a positive experience. This restaurant is beautiful. Experience should change when entering a restaurant steeped in a different culture.“

“Ordered take out. My Cantonese is lousy but managed to order ma po tofu, braised fish, salt pepper squid and fried green beans. Order was ready in 15 min, faster than my drive from NW Calgary. Noted our peanut allergy, assuring use of vegetable oil and only peanuts sprinkled at the end with ‘teng jai’ congee. Hot and fresh ingredients. Well cooked, and seasoned very slightly to the saltier side for our preference but quite ok. Squid has a batter coating; would have preferred a thinner batter or just a flour dusting. Very friendly and helpful lady at the front. Said I needed rice for the meal, and gave me both rice and their ‘lai tong’ soup of the day for free. Nice quick HK cafe style food, execution and prices. Will go back when in the area.“

“This time on the way to Banff from Calgary, a friend recommended this Hong Kong restaurant "Kang Kee Roast Meat" in a foreign land... I can only say that it is "authentic and delicious + good value for money + the portion is very sufficient". After the meal, there are also fortune cookie❤️?!“

“We ordered via Uber eats and had high hopes! I love veggie heavy menus and we both love spice. Spicy peanut noodles were BOGO so we got 2 of those + a Cambodian jungle curry box. We read reviews online saying the heat scale is actually spicy, so we ordered medium hot for everything. The curry had a nice slight heat, but sadly the "spicy" peanut noodles had zero heat whatsoever. If we were at home I'd just add sambal and chili but we're in a hotel so tried to eat some but it was mostly wasted food. Bummer! If I tried again I'd go with hot or scorching.“
