“I love this place! I've been going there for years specifically for their pork spring rolls and the best wor wonton in the city! The family there is so great! They always go above and beyond, which is evidenced by the line ups at lunchtime. Highly recommend them! 5 stars from me!“

“Wow, the breakfast here was absolutely amazing. The hash browns were super crispy. The burger was cooked beautifully with a perfectly toasted bun. Everything was just wonderful.

The place is a bit small though. So, seating is limited.“

“This was the BEST pho I’ve had in a long time. After switching to halal only, it’s been hard to find good pho. The best part of the pho was the lady that works there. She was the best server I’ve ever had. when she found out it was our first time she gave us samples of all the broths which really helped us make our decision. We got the brisket, beef and chicken. All of them were very good!“

“Enjoyed pho and vermicelli. The food was fantastic. Not overly salty as it tends to be in many other places. Tons of flavors and very fresh. We are picky eathers and could not find anything to complain. Service was excellent. They were attentive and even apologized serving the spring rolls slightly delayed as the first batch was burned. Even the water they brought was done thoughfully I'm Caucasian and got class of cold water and my wife who is Asian got a glass of warm water. I recommend wholeheartedly this place.“

“Superb customer service - I misunderstood a menu item as in past I've ordered a rare beef satay soup at other establishments and it came with a peanut sauce stirred through. Here it meant chilli oil, which was already added to the soup, and unfortunately was too much spice for my lips or belly to tolerate. As I was scanning the menu for something else to order the staff brought a smaller bowl of broth and noodles without chilli oil, complimentary. The depth of flavour in the broth was exceptional, truly delicious, and I left a very happy customer.

The Satay Beef Noodle Soup with Peanuts is a must-try, with its flavorful broth and tender beef, perfectly complemented by the fragrant peanut taste. The restaurant not only offers great food but also a cozy and comfortable atmosphere, along with a friendly and enthusiastic staff. I also loved the Vietnamese sandwiches and the DIY wraps, which really gave me the feeling of enjoying authentic home-cooked meals. Comfort in both dishes, chicken was juicy. Marinated turmeric but taste of lemongrass was somewhat absent. Still tasted delicious and definitely grilled compared to most grilled vietnamese dishes in the city.
Shakin beef was a nostalgic dish for me. Wok-hay was on point with tender pieces of beef chunks. Pair it with the chili oil.

Typically I check Google reviews first, but didn't this time, I didn't know what to expect.

The food turned out to be really good. We had the chicken noodle soup, beef satay noodle soup and the bun bo hue.

Portion sizes were generous and the taste was in line with the good Viet restaurants in the Toronto area.“

“I had the opportunity to take my parent to try uncle ten last week. We ordered an xl house special pho, the grill pork rice with egg and shredded pork, and the beef and chicken skewers. Not only were the portions very generous, the food tasted very authentic, it reminded my us of Vietnam. The pho broth was stew to perfection, rich and flavorful. Absolutely our go to for pho.“

“I got the special - Sate beef with beef ball noodle soup for $11.62 (in June 2024). It was great - large quantity, very flavourful, and a good amount of protein. Well worth the price, IMO. (If I didn't have such a large appetite, I could likely have had it over 2 days.) Absolutely recommend.

“Modest Interior and signage but don't be fooled.

One of the best soups & banh mi's I've had in my life and that's coming from an Asian.
The wonton soup w/ egg noodles & the house special traditional satay beef pho w/ peanuts are my go-to's along w/ spring rolls.
They also still have the original sriracha bottles w/ the rooster. On top of that, hoisin, fish & satay sauce readily available in to-go ramekins.

They're 1 block away from 4th St. Station by the C-Train beside Deville right across the courthouse making it easily accessible.

The owners are wonderful and I feel so lucky to live nearby to easily enjoy their delicious food.“

“This is my first time visit this restaurant, the food is absolutely delicious. ❤️
This restaurant famous for their stir fried egg noodle ( mì xào giòn), I would recommend if you have a chance to visit this restaurant try them out. ??
For the drink I recommend Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk. ☕️“

“Absolutely amazing I was out and about all day walking and needed a water bumped into this little shop very close to home and decided to grab a water and a bite, I noticed immediately the completely open and transparent kitchen the lovely atmosphere the music the smells and the bright ambiance. The sweet lady and gentlemen were incredibly attentive and the gentlemen was such a pleasure to speak with almost like a friendly family figure anyone comes to love I asked and had questions answered and even learned a little about his life his business and his philosophy and man this gentleman needs a book or documentary or podcast because he is incredible and smart. I asked about his menu and he said "when you have a few items they can be perfected and when done many times over they only grow better not like restraunts that have 100 items they become cluttered and wastefull"

And I asked about his very very yellow sauce on the sub I ate as it was delicious and he let me know for all of their dishes they use only the best ingredients and he also made the very bright mayonnaise by hand and with farm fresh deep yellow eggs.

I mentioned how I loved the entire music and atmosphere and vibe that was generally about and he said "everyone eats with all 5 senses, 1 their eyes, 2 their nose, 3 their mouth, 4 their ears
And 5th the atmosphere in which they eat"
That made me very happy and when I asked him if his food is authentic he immediately let me know it's authentic to him and that Vietnamese subs actually come from French colonists visiting Vietnam and things like the term sate also derive from it.

I asked swell about him and his wife and their business he told me 20 or so years ago that they opened a store in North calgary and that they had so many customers asking about another store in downtown so they opened one on 5th Ave and again more asked about another location so they opened at 6 Ave this location being reviewed and although the prices are slightly higher and they are open 5 hours 5 days a week I Absolutely recommend this business and especially meeting the owner as he's such a nice soul to interact with. And the food tastes of love and warmth.

“Highly recommend this spot if you're looking to try different styles of Vietnamese food. This Vietnamese restaurant offers a variety of dishes that you can’t find around Calgary! We tried several items from the menu, and everything was quite good. I had the crab fried rice, and it was delicious—flavorful, but not as bold as Thai or Indonesian fried rice. Definitely worth a try. We'll be coming back to explore more dishes.“

“The business itself is hidden a little bit but have done a great job in getting your eyes attention. If it wasn't for the canopy, I would've missed it altogether. Service was very prompt all the way through and very efficient, from the time we walked in, was taken to our table , ordered our food and food being delivered to our table was somewhere in the 5 - 10 minute range. The food was excellent and very tasty as well as having good portion to price balance. The restaurant itself was very well done and looked after very well. We are having fun trying more items on the menu (there are so many creative items too!). We are lucky to have this place in our neighborhood!“

“This is my favorite pho place. The owners always make me feel like family when I go with my daughter. They always spoil her with treats and fruits. The service is excellent. The speed is very quick. You never have to wait more than 10 minutes for your food, and it's always delicious. The prize is amazing. The portions are very generous for the price you pay.

“The best sate I've tried thus far. Different from other shops as it's not the weak orange color & tastlessness like some other places. Its more creamy & peanuty with some spice. Seriously, do yourself a favor & order the sate.

Location wise, coworker says it's been around for a long time (like 20yrs) so it looks pretty unassuming from the outside. The interior has lots of indoor lighting but is darker then most places as it is an older building with smaller windows so not much natural light but it does have a welcoming cozy atmosphere and the lady who took our orders was very nice.“
