“The food was pretty good not the best pho that I’ve had but it was halal which made it taste possible for me to share with people I care about. The staff were very nice. I will say that I don’t think you get more food by buying the bigger bowl and also the chilly sauce is very spicy. I preferred the traditional broth to premium but that’s up to personal taste.“

Just wanted to comment on the excellent service I received on Father's day brunch. I was unable to make it to my reserved time of 1000 and called early to let them know if it was alright if I changed it to 1100. I completely understood if that wasn't possible anymore. They were very efficient in rescheduling my reservation on such a short notice! The service I received during the brunch itself was friendly and efficient even though the restaurant was busy. Despite asking for lots of to go boxes (portions were huge and food was delicious as usual💓), they were fast and absolutely accomodating in doing so. When I apologized at some point for changing my resrrvation time on such a short notice, my waitress told me that she was just glad I could make it. I believe this level of care, hospitality and willingness to help is very important to acknowledge. In short, they truly care about their customers.“

“This this is a fabulous hidden gem on Center Street North. The owner is an absolute delight in her manner and her customer service
And the food is simply outstanding. I highly recommend paying a visit and trying anything on the menu and you will be absolutely delighted. I had a traditional assorted meat sub which was excellent and I also tried the stewed beef with rice outstanding as well.
After my fourth visit to this place I tried probably the best curry chicken stew I've ever tasted. I had it with a fresh warmed up baguette. The chicken thigh and arrowroot that she uses in this stew burst with flavor because of the seasoning she uses to make the dish which includes lemongrass.... You must try this offering well worth it.“

“came here for the first time and i was intrigued by the banh mi fries with steak - YUMM it’s like a vietnamese poutine. the fries were so nice and crispy not soggy at all, and the owners simon and tommy told me they made the mayo themselves and pickled the carrots too. never had anything like this - i’ve never seen this kind of item at a viet restaurant, so unique. i highly recommend you try it out!

i also had a cream soda which i hardly see at restaurants so i was excited to have it

last but not least i had a banh mi sub with cold cut meats. i shared with my mom and she said it was really fresh and tasted great! i agree! i forgot to take a picture until half of it was already eaten cause i was hungry!

would definitely recommend to everyone to try. i just wish they had more seating as it’s more of a take out spot, otherwise i can bring more friends and family to this hidden gem!“

“Quick service and good food! Had bun bo hue, mango shrimp salad, and the satay pork banh mi - and everything was really good! Been a while since a banh mi baguette hasn’t cut my gums lol but their bread is always so soft here. Their vietnamese iced coffees are also super good and authentic - strong and not too sweet.“

“I don't usually want to write reviews, but the food was prompt, very delicious and the temperature of the pho was very much just right (hot while not burning you). It was pretty busy when I came to eat, so I wasn't immediately served. However, the wait wasn't long and the food got here in a timely manner. They also served complimentary tea, which most pho places should but don't practice. And the price point for the pho was very good for the size you are getting. I will be coming here again when I have the chance.“

“Pho Xuan Noodle House is a nice lunch time Vietnamese spot with a strong menu and quick service. I had the rare beef & beef ball pho which was quite good. The large size is probably too large for one person so I would recommend the medium size. My date had the #29 vermicelli bowl which was delicious and refreshing. Overall this was a good restaurant with strong ingredients and tasty dishes. There was little service to rate as the servers only pick up your orders from the table and bring the food. The atmosphere was a casual lunch vibe. I would recommend this restaurant!“

“This place is one of the reasons I enjoy coming to dragon plaza mall. Always when I’m hungry. Enough seats to be able to sit down to eat there, polite customer service. This is the place I recommend when craving a Vietnamese sub, I generally only order the spicy beef, but I imagine everything else here is made with the same quality. The bread itself is perfect, good crunch while maintaining a level of fresh softness to it as well. Parking during peak hours can be a little tough but otherwise, well priced.“

“This is me and the teams most go to spot for lunch! If you work downtown - highly recommend for lunch. I love their sate beef sub with cheese extra toasted. I love their soup. I love their spring rolls - they make it without shrimp. I love their vermicelli too. I think the only thing true viets might not like is how watered down their fish sauce is because i know how strong and more salty we prefer it in our culture but i totally get why they make it lighter to appease a wider audience especially during lunch at work when you have to go back to probably business meetings after. Love this place and their service is fast and it's family owned.“

“We visited the market on the recommendation of the Concierge at our hotel and it was amazing! The variety of vendors and quality of the food & drink was impressive. I had an Indian meal while my wife had Mexican. We ordered some nice wine and ate on the open air patio. We were surprised by the number of young families and pets, but it really made the atmosphere more enjoyable. We very much encourage a visit to this market if you find yourself in Calgary!“

“I’ve been coming to this Vietnamese restaurant for over 20 years, and it’s still one of my absolute favorites. The satè phở is amazing - always piping hot, incredibly flavorful, and consistently satisfying every single time.

I also love that they open at 9am - it’s such a treat to be able to enjoy a comforting bowl of phở for breakfast! And their cà phê sữa đá is a must - rich, bold, and the perfect pairing with any meal.

“Definitely one of the best vietnamese restaurants I've ever eaten at! I came here for lunch and the place was packed by 12:30, Yet my food came so fast I could hardly believe it. The prices are very affordable. I orded the Lobster seafood satay noodle soup, and some salad rolls. The soup was so flavorful and had 1 full large lobster tail and a small 1/2 tail. This soup was only $20. A normal seafood noodle soup was around $13, so I litterally only paid 7$ for lobster! The salad rolls were big snd fresh, and the peanut sauce was creamy & warm! I will definitely be coming back to try some other dishes.Still the best in Calgary.“

“We lufffffed An An!!

Appreciate that they have unique Vietnamese dishes to try. The setting is in a heritage building and full of personality, although I wish it were a bit more modern, it felt like you weren’t in Calgary.

The An An nem cua ba was one big spring roll chopped in quarters, which my husband loved because it was bursting with fillings. The crab was a bit fishy for me but he was happy with it. I would recommend the bone marrow pho, although I think the oxtail could have been cooked for longer to be more tender, the broth was flavourful and the bone marrow was HUMONGOUS. My husband also enjoy the Pandora’s box fried rice thoroughly - it tasted reminiscent to the classic Chinese tomato egg, but with a fried soft shell crab inside. He doesn’t like food that much but he was a very happy man.

Overall, the value is phenomenal and I wish we got to try more menu items. Will be back!“

“I came across this Mexican restaurant by chance while looking for a place to eat in Northeast Calgary, and I’m so glad I did. The moment you walk in, it has such a cozy, authentic vibe that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a little corner of Mexico.

I ordered the enchiladas, and they were excellent. The tortillas tasted fresh, the chicken was juicy, and the veggies were crisp and full of flavor. You can tell they use quality ingredients, and everything tasted homemade.
