“A great night across from the stadium (it was a game day!) an unique restaurant with projected moving artwork on the walls. My favourite was the pork ribs - plated pretty with large couscous and root vegetables. I did not expect this here. The second was the salt and pepper shrimp - perfect to share, though I was guilty of eating the majority. Last was the Mala hotpot which was flavourful as well. A busy spot with the neighbouring businesses in the strip mall and stadium across the street, but still ample parking. Thanks to my friends for the treat and Saturday local outing.“

“Awesome deal for good vegan Chinese food. My daughter and I enjoyed the $13.50 lunch with curried noodles. It came with spring rolls and jasmine tea. There were multiple varieties of veggie meats yum“

“I as well as my family have been dining and having delivery from Bills new location in Calgary for many years. The food for dinner for 2–excellent— added an extra entree with the deep fried shrimp . It was so delicious and so good. We recommend them highly.“

“I’ve tried many Chinese food places in calgary and this place has to be one of my favourites.
The ginger beef and sweet and sour kitchen were nice and crispy but yet still very saucy. The vegetables had lots of brocolli which I love. Everything tasted amazing.
The portion sizes are excellent for a meal for two. Both had dinner and have some leftovers for tomorrow.
This is my new go to restaurant. Highly recommend.“

“Amazing authentic handmade baoza!!! The owner was so sweet and friendly and everything is made in-house. Very affordable prices and delicious food. I had two bao and had to immediately run back to grab more! Calgary is lucky to have this place, I wish we had it in Windsor, ON! Thank you!“

“Food is great ordered a lot though as we're not familiar with the size but ended up packing a lot home too. It was busy but servers keep informing us there might be a bit of delays since it's busy and I understand and appreciate that. They gave us free soup for the slight inconvenience. 2nd time here 1st with family, definitely coming back many times. Deep fried wonton is exquisite, will get that just for me next time for take home. Highly recommended.“

“This place serves some amazing Chinese cuisine, with incredible customer service, the employees really do care.
We've had the imperial pork, some deep fried fish and chicken and its some of the best I've had from a Chinese restaurant in a long time, harking back to original flavors that I've had. Definetly worth it.“

“The service was super friendly. The place is quiet and a change from all the noise. The food was excellent! You need to try their satay beef Shanghai (thick) noodle dish. It's rare to find that combination, so good! Lastly, their chicken balls are packed with chicken meat and less batter. Unlike other restaurants. Just try it and you'll know what I'm saying. Cheers!“

“I went for a bowl of their BBQ pork noodle soup and was led to believe , via the online reviews that it was a very large portion but the size was rather small, but completely in line with the price. The soup was quite good I'll come again provided the price doesn't go up .“

Occasionally when I want to grab some Chinese take out and I'm in the area, this restaurant is a consideration. Their dinner combo is not too bad and is filling but it is pretty generic. The food here is average but I find the prices to be a bit higher than compared to some other Chinese restaurants. They have a large menu and you can find both Westernized Chinese food and normal Chinese foods here. The service here is standard but I find the atmosphere of the restaurant to be quite outdated.“

“It was small, but in the way a mom and pop shop is. The servers were sweet and attentive, but not hovering. The food… how do I even begin? Only twice in my life have I had food so amazing that I cried, and this was the second one. I was so happy. Everything was fresh and perfect. The dishes were huge, the pudding was amazing. I will be going back. I’m so excited to eat the leftovers. If the staff are reading this: I love you so so so much please stay in business forever.“

“We have been ordering here for several years and I think this is the best take out Chinese food around. Our meal a couple of nights ago was outstanding. Food is always fresh, beautifully cooked and with generous portions. We love ordering a good variety so there are yummy leftovers for future lunches. We use our air fryer to refresh the crispness of the salt and pepper squid. Works like a charm. Highly recommended.“

“My wife and I have been going to Ho Won for over 20 years. We’ve brought friends and family with us to Ho Won many times over the years. Everyone is always impressed and always love the food as much as we do. Serving staff is so good at their jobs. It’s rare to get such professional and experienced servers anymore. “Had a really great experience at Let’s Grill Calgary! The food was fresh, flavorful, and cooked really well. The portions were generous, and everything we ordered tasted delicious. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and provided great service throughout the whole experience. You can tell they put effort into the quality of both the food and customer service. “My nephew recommended Bamboo house and I ordered 4 medium platters for my wife’s birthday party. The order was cashew gai ding, ginger beef, Shanghai noodles with 3 meat and General Tao chicken, with a delivery time of 5 pm. The food was delivered exactly at 5 pm and this had to be the best Chinese food myself and our guests have ever had in Calgary. Very tasty, lots of food and a decent price. I would strongly recommend this restaurant!“

The beef tomatoe and chicken pineapple( not gluten free) were incredibly tasty huge amounts also so everyone had choices and enjoyed. Love the old style restaurant and while it feels like 1974 I loved the retro feel. Like the old day good food and friendly people. Was yummy and highly recommend it“

“It was my mother’s birthday and she turned 91, I called a restaurant and they would not deliver. So I found John Wong’s and they were so pleasant on the phone, they said they delivered and the food came right on time. The food was great. It tasted good, it was hot. “Brothers Taste of Asia in Bridlewood, located in the plaza off 162nd Ave SW, is a solid go-to spot for classic Chinese-Canadian takeaway and comfort food. We always order takeout from here, and it never fails to deliver.
The main draw for our takeout orders is definitely the portion sizes. They are huge, making it super easy to get two meals out of a single order. Favorites for pickup like the sweet and sour chicken balls, which come with the sauce packed on the side so the batter stays crispy on the drive home, and the ginger beef are always piping hot and fresh. The chicken fried rice and salt & pepper chicken wings are also consistent staples every time we get takeout for a family dinner.
While it is strictly a takeout run for us, the staff are always friendly when picking up the food, and everything is packed up quickly and securely. It is a reliable, no-nonsense neighborhood staple for south Calgary residents craving big portions of good Chinese food to enjoy at home.“

I know your targeting white people for your food, but don't be afraid to add a bit of red pepper flakes to things.. your ginger beef is exceptionally plain (no heat whatsoever). Not every Gweilo is allergic to spice. Fried rice could use a touch more soysauce.
Will come back, one of the better Chinese options in the area for sure.“

“Genuinely this place is amazing. We came around 2pm. And we thought it was closed when it said open. And I think it was the owner that let us in. He was trying to post that it’s closed today but the network in the area was bad. And he still let us in and served us and a few other people that came after us. The food was great. The service was great. We greatly appreciated him going out of his way to let us eat as we were traveling from another province. We don’t eat beef but we wanted the spicy soup which the beef broth was the only spicy option, so he gave us broth without the packet that they usually put in that had the beef in it. 🥹 incredibly accommodating. He also gave us extra meat slices 🥹 and the food itself was fantastic. You can also take leftovers to go! we had to leave a good tip 🙂↕🙂↕“

“I decided to take photos halfway through the meal, so the portion sizes aren’t fully shown in the pictures. The food tastes really good and is fairly priced. The servings are actually quite generous. The level of spice is pleasant and everything is delicious.
The Mao Xue Wang (spicy blood‑curd hotpot) comes in a large portion — spicy, fragrant and packed with a good variety of ingredients, though there could be a little more bean sprouts.
The spicy diced chicken with bones is well‑seasoned and very aromatic. This is a great Sichuan restaurant and well worth coming back to.“

The wor Wonton soup does have noodles in it as well, which isn’t my personal favourite so I would definitely order it next time without the noodles just because I like more broth but I’m happy I gave this restaurant a chance as I’m new to the neighbourhood!!“

“Sam's is a landmark. Best ginger beef in town. Covid cooled the fun of being in the restaurant after dark or concerts or hockey games but they kept the excellent food coming to our doors. Don't forget to try the candied bananas..“

“This is a nice little hidden spot for Shaanxi dishes! There is parking in the back,but you might need to park nearby and walk over. I got the cumin lamb noodles and Roujiamo/Chinese hamburger 😋💕 The noodles were soft and chewy(for next time tho I might ask for more more spice) I definitely wanna come back and try the other dishes like the different dumpling soups 👀👀👀“
