“I have been buying takeout for 2 years.At first to me it was some of the best chinese food ever. Now the last two times I have bought takeout I have been very disappointed. Some of the ingredients like in Cashew Gai Ding have changed, the Ginger chicken was not well done,the breaded ribs were lumped together. I am wondering if you have a new chef as the change seems remarkable. Your prices are up and quality down. I am disappointed.

I am writing this review in 2026 and am amazed at the change that has taken place here with new owners. Yeasrs ago I lived in Calgary in the Woodbine area and bought chinese food from a takeout called Wings. When they sold out I pursued but never had an equal to the taste and quality of their food. Now I can say I have found Big Rock today equal or better . I only fo tsakeout so cant comment on servers but am more than happy with the people who answer the phone and run the front counter.“

“Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Uncle Ben! Three out of four of us were Celiacs. There were so many options for us! We had chicken wings, hot and sour soup, sweet and sour pork, ginger beef, chop suey, lemon chicken soo gai, jumbo pineapple prawns and chicken fried rice. Most importantly, we didn’t get sick from cross-contamination! We will definitely be back!“
