“This was my first time trying the food at Pho East Lake Restaurant..
I was told the food was very good.. and it definitely was.. we were so quick to try the food we forgot to take a photo of the food for this review.. although this restaurant is in an older building and not very eye pleasing from the out side.. dont let that discourage you from going in for a great meal.. the restaurant was clean as were the restrooms.. the service was fast and friendly and the food is offered at fair prices.. the only thing to keep in mind is the hallway to the restrooms may be difficult for someone in a wheelchair as it is a tight squeeze..“

“My wife and I along with two close friends visit Rice for King in Airdrie for at least the last 4 years. The food is among the finest Vietnamese food that I have had. I have been eating at Vietnamese restuarants for over 30 years. Have ate at many Vietnamese restaurants in that time period and in many different cities in North America. Rice for King in Airdrie is our favourite and not just because of the food. The staff are excellent. We don’t have to tell them what we want. They just ask if it is the usual. The owners are great people and I make sure to thank our chef every time we go. Thank you for the years of great food.“

“Food was good. The wait was a little long, but they also seemed busy with online orders, so it was understandable. The restaurant is family-friendly and has plenty of seating, which is great for bigger groups. The only small thing I noticed was that some of the chairs are starting to show wear and the cracking leather can leave little crumbs on your clothes.
Other than that, it was a good experience and I’d still recommend giving it a try.“

“It’s our family’s go to for Vietnamese food in Airdrie. The portions are large & the prices are reasonable. The Wor Wonton soup is so delicious & filling. The homemade spring rolls are yummy, as well as the salad rolls. The deep fried wings are also very good, as are their rice & noodle dishes. Love love their mango Bubble Tea. Definitely stop in, you won’t be disappointed !!“

“I come here pretty regularly and yes the food is really good but also it’s the hardworking staff who really make the place feel alive. From the front of house servers to the back of house kitchen staff every single employee I see is always hustling trying to get orders out as fast as they can and keeping people served and satisfied. Jia, Anne, Phuong, Nick & Helen all work very hard and I’m sure I’m missing a few names but these are some of the resilient staff members who deserve the recognition. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for good Vietnamese cuisine.“

“Its a nice spot to get food and chill after a long day of work. Its quiet, the owners let you sit wherever you want, and the food is simple yet flaverful. They dont add all these crazy flavours to make it special. You can add additional sauces at the table if you desire. The beef pho is nice and the salad rolls are pretty good and well priced. Unlike most Vietnamese restaurants, each person gets their own peanut sauce dip instead of one that everybody shares.“

“Service was great, food was yummy. The atmosphere was not that good.

I stopped on here for lunch when travelling. I was immediately seated and given the menu. I ordered the vegetable tofu pho with spicy satay. While waiting, I noticed signs on the wall with Specials. None of those were mentioned to me when ordering, just so you know.

The pho had cut tomatoes and cucumbers - not something I typically have seen in pho. The broth was very tasty - I very much enjoyed it. Some pieces of vegetables were hard to eat because of their large size.

I ended up taking half home for my lunch the next day.

The boxes all piled up and the messy signage everywhere detracted from the experience, but the food and service were good.“
