“We came to celebrate a birthday and were not disappointed! From the second we sat down, our server Stephanie was kind, attentive, and informative…our chef Alvin was engaging, fun, and entertaining! Both of these staff members made it truly an unforgettable visit…they both went above and beyond, and interacted with our children throughout the entire meal and made it an incredible experience for our entire family. This is definitely more than just a restaurant - it is absolutely an experience and we would recommend 100% (especially for kids - they won’t stop talking about how much fun they had)!“

“We live in the area but we had never tried this restaurant before. We found everything we had very good overall.

We had sushi, sashimi, and tried several rolls. The rolls were hit and miss, but overall most of them were pretty good. Sushi was great too, but the sashimi stole the show. Very nice quality and big chunky pieces.

The place looks nice overall and it was very clean. The staff were excellent. Very friendly, polite and attentive.

We’ll be coming back to try some of their other dishes and have their excellent sashimi again.“

“Super fresh, soft melt in your mouth sashimi! 🤤🤤 Onion flower roll was fire 🔥 yam roll was so good and fat! Really good portions for everything, sashimi as well! Seaweed salad and takoyaki were all so good. Fast extremely lovely and in tune service also. Filled up waters quickly and precisely removing dishes as promptly as needed also. Also offered to refill our green tea which was extremely yummy. 10/10 would go again“

“Satsuki is the best sushi restaurant in the city. The service was very knowledgeable and welcoming. The quality of food was impeccable. We had the negi toro roll, the bluefin tuna roll, and the Satsuki roll. We also shared the sablefish risotto. The sablefish melted like butter!! Everything was absolutely delicious. We will be back!!“

“We have celebrated several birthdays with our family at Fuji Ramen. Maria is a wonderful host. She always makes us feel welcome and is very attentive, every time we have been there. The Ramen is perfectly cooked and the broth is very flavorful. I have tried the chashu Ramen, the red tonkatsu ramen and many specials in the past. The seating is good and we will be celebrating many more occasions there.“

“Had the omakase recently at Zushi and it was a great experience. The sushi they served was very good - the wife and I really enjoyed it. Favourites were the tuna with truffle oil, and the grilled shrimp topped with tuna belly. Service was super friendly. Would definitely go back for more“

“I love koji Katsu! They recently opened this year and I love that they’re adding and improving their menu. I definitely recommend their assorted Katsu, it’s a huge portion of their three types of Katsu (tenderloin, shrimp, and cheese) with rice soup and salad. You can easily share this with two people! And I love their Katsu sando (sandwich). The bread is so tender and it tastes like the one in Japan. They have great service and are really open to feedback! A great local place in the city“

“So, I may have a problem. I think ive eaten 18-20 of their miso soup in the past week. I was very sick and it's all I've wanted. Kibo honestly has the best, most favourful, reasonably priced, miso soup I've ever had. I can't stop. I won't stop. Help.

Also, the soup is ALWAYS hot which i love.

Since ordering miso, I've also had their Kamikazi rolls (delicious and a little spicy flavouring) which doesnt taste like tuna but is delicious in its own way. Their California rolls are soooo good as well, both the deep-fried and regular. Each of their rolls are very flavourful and don't have that dried out takeout taste some sushi places do. Everything we've ordered from there was thoroughly impressive and has since become our new go-to sushi stop.

“We went for Valentine's they were absolutely slammed. The food was excellent however the service wasn't able to come by often enough I would have liked to order another drink and it took a long time to pay but really think that it is because of the date we went definitely will come back and I'm sure the service will be excellent also. Only thing they didn't have a cocktail menu and was slightly disappointed on that front. The beef tataki was the best I've had in the city“

I typically order from this store online, but I decided to visit in person. Very nicely decorated, and the service was WONDERFUL. The person running the whole show in the front was very nice and energetic.

“If you’re looking for great sushi at a reasonable price, this spot is it! The vibe is super casual but still has that cozy izakaya feel. Their menu features plenty of unique items you won’t easily find elsewhere and the sushi is always fresh. I especially love that uni (sea urchin) is consistently on the menu. Add in a solid cocktail list and genuinely great service and it’s an easy win!

“One of our few regular go to sushi places. We typically order the agedashi tofu, mixed tempura, salmon sashimi and special rolls. All great. Very efficient service (kudos to the kitchen staff) and servers are excellent, headed by Mina who is both friendly and welcoming. Place is small so make reservations on Fridays and weekends in particular. Try it.“

The specially reserved seats in front of the kitchen offer a show, not just the meal. Our server Adam provided an 11/10 service, explaining the intricacies of each dish and how the each drink was tied into the given course. They also offer you the option to purchase 3 ounces of the 45 day beeswax aged A5 Waygu (which we also purchased and highly recommend to take in the full experience). Also, after visiting NYC, San Fran, Seattle, Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal Takumi ranks in our top places. We order from skip the dishes monthly but prefer to come in for cold sake, great service and exquisitely prepared sushi/sashimi.
