“This was our first time here and it certainly won’t be our last! My Chicken & Meat is a total hidden gem. The menu has a fantastic variety to choose from. I had the BBQ chicken drumstick lunch special, and my wife went with the fried fish, shrimp, and dumpling combo—both were excellent.

The food came out very quickly, and you can tell everything is prepared to order because it was incredibly fresh and piping hot. The portions are very generous for the price. The restaurant itself is spacious and clean, with a very authentic and genuine Korean BBQ feel. We’ll definitely be back!“

“Tried the new Burnin Bird Nashville hot chicken Restaurant in Calgary. I had the hot chicken, it was really tasty and just the right heat. My wife had the medium and said it was just right for her. The sandwich was delicious and so were the fries with the special dipping sauce. Did not try the deep fried desserts. Can’t wait to go back!!! You gotta try it!!!!“

“I really love this place and the food is always great. I have had it before when the takeout containers were smaller but the sauce used to be more generous giving the chicken full flavour. This time the full size Honey Garlic chicken was a massive portion, easily 14 to 15 pieces in total, and the crunch was absolutely spot on. My only little critique is that the glaze would have been much better if the chicken was actually tossed in it because this time it just looked like it was poured on top. Also, I would probably skip upgrading to the Large Fry for 6.99. As you can see in the photo, it is a nice large box but it was barely filled so it felt like a bit of a skimp for the price. The chicken itself is always amazing, just hoping for a bit more sauce and a fuller fry box next time!“

“I recently visited Popeyes in Forest Lawn and had a great experience overall. The food was fresh, hot, and full of flavor. The chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, just the way it should be. The seasoning was spot on and tasted authentic.
I also tried the fries and biscuits — both were delicious. The fries were well-seasoned and crispy, and the biscuit was buttery and soft. The portion sizes were satisfying for the price.
The staff were friendly and my order came out quickly, even though it was a bit busy. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained.
Overall, I’d definitely come back when I’m craving flavorful fried chicken. Great job to the team at the Forest Lawn location!“

“Edit Nov 17/23 - I havent been here for a bit, usually go to the north Wow Chicken so I didnt know they changed their name and some of the menu. The lady was so nice! I asked about the name change, the new food items,she let us try some things. I always get the Gang Jeong space but she also gave me the Mala Buldak sauce to try - hhhoootttttttttt! Wow, only a little and I was sweating! As she gave it to me,she said she liked that sauce....good on you lol, that's a very hot sauce! We had the mozzarella K-dog with sugar to try, that was good too! We then had our usual lunch special. Little different with having a packet of bulgogi powder but it worked, and the chicken thighs were 3 large rather then some smaller ones. All good, nothing bad to say! This always was my favorite Wow Chicken location so I'm glad they stuck around and now serve even a little more under their new name!I cannot say enough about this place except that it is named very accordingly!! Between the sauce (spicy BBQ), the breading, the chicken.... It's amazing!!! Ordered the bulgogi fries....man! Crispy and full of flavor! My only regret was that I didn't try this sooner!!“

So walk across the street we did and ordered up some Korean fried chicken. I took the K Town signature, which is their take on regular fried chicken. It's what KFC should taste like. First of all, I would love to ANNUNCIATE my review that I had yesterday at your fine eating establishment. I walked into Chinook Mall with my friends Juwokber, Micheal, and Kentavious, figuring out what I would love to eat, as we had travelled all the way from Armenia and Timor-Leste to visit the beautiful city of Calgary. We had some English in our vocabulary and used those skills to communicate, and after looking around, we eventually saw the legendary red KFC sign. I immediately felt very itadakimasu, and I knew that destiny had brought us here. We approached the counter and I ordered a 2-piece chicken combo with french fries and a Diet Pepsi, because Diet Pepsi is obviously the superior beverage choice. I paid for my food and that is when I saw him. The man behind the counter. The glasses. The calmness. The boxy head. The intellectual aura. I knew immediately that there was something different about this man.

I waited approximately 9.51294 × 10^-6 years, or 0.000114155 months, or 0.000496032 weeks, or 0.00347222 days, or 0.0833333 hours, or, for those who prefer conventional mathematics, five minutes. During this time, I watched him helping customers with a big smile and incredible energy, and I realized that this man was not simply working at KFC. He was creating an EXPERIENCE. Then I walked toward the counter and saw him once again. His hands were grasping my food with the precision of an artist completing his greatest masterpiece. He slowly slid the food toward my side of the counter, and with pristine manners, he said the most memorable words, well actually the 2nd pair of words: “Thank you.” Wow. Amazing. I almost cried. This was closer to crying than Podziemski winning Finals MVP over Tamoro and Clemente in what was undoubtedly one of the greatest competitions ever conceived. Before I left, I knew I had to ask the question. Who was he? I approached him and asked, “What is your name, sir?” He looked at me and gave me the answer that would change the course of my Canadian journey forever. “Dwight.” I almost collapsed on the floor. I nearly had to call an ambulance. Dwight. What a name. What a man. What a presence. We spoke for a little while, and I immediately realized that he was incredibly kind, welcoming, and willing to cooperate with us despite being busy at work. I could tell that this was someone who genuinely cared about the customers around him.

At that moment, I began thinking about the rankings. Top 10? Obviously. Top 5? Absolutely. Top 3? HOT TAKE, BUT YES. I can confidently say Dwight Duldulao is one of the greatest KFC crew members I have ever encountered. The positivity, the professionalism, the kindness, the glasses, the energy, the flow state. Everything came together perfectly. As we eventually wrapped up our conversation, I realized something terrible. I had to say goodbye. Goodbye? Where do I even begin? Goodbye isn't easy to say, as easy is still an understatement. I had entered KFC looking for a 2-piece chicken combo and a Diet Pepsi, but I left with something much greater: chicken, a memorable experience, and a story that will remain within the history books of my Canadian journey. The odds of all of us existing in this world are incomprehensibly small. One in a trillion, and yet, here we are. Me. My friends. KFC. Dwight. The chicken. How lucky are we? THANK YOU KFC CHINOOK FOR THE GREATEST DEBUT FOOD EXPERIENCE HERE IN CANADA FOR ME. I would love to come back because all the staff were great, the food was amazing, and the experience was unforgettable. And most importantly, I would like to thank Dwight Duldulao.
