This place reminded me of old school restaurants growing up. I tried the deep fried chicken and it was AMAZING ... some of the best I've had anywhere in the world. I really enjoyed talking to Doc, the owner Great guy ... great food!!! Highly recommended
Saw a tiktok regarding the delicious food here. Let me tell you, it was amazing! I had the beef brisket sandwich and poutine, my daughter had the philly cheese steak sandwich. They were too die for! Smokehouse N Broasters Calgary is a popular local restaurant known for its delicious and fresh meals. The owner, Doc, is friendly and attentive, ensuring customers have a great experience. The restaurant offers a chill, kid-friendly atmosphere and is a great spot for lunch or dinner. The fried chicken, pressure-fried to be less greasy, is a standout menu item, with the spicy chicken being especially popular for its juiciness and light batter. The smoked beef sandwich is hearty and tastes good with fresh toppings. Customers often praise the generous portions, good prices, and exceptional service. The restaurant also features cool photos with the season 1 cast of Fargo, adding a unique touch. The fish and chips are well-seasoned, and the gravy has a strong pepper flavor that pairs well with the fries. Overall, Smokehouse N Broasters Calgary provides a great dining experience, especially when eating in, as takeout packaging has been noted to sometimes be inadequate, leading to soggy, greasy food. It remains a favorite for those who enjoy Blackfoot Diner vibes and simple, tasty comfort food.
