Aama Nepalese Cuisine

Ordered a butter chicken on Skip The Dishes that came with rice and a burnt pita cut in quarters for $30 before tax, delivery fees, and tip.

Chicken itself tasted good but I only got 4 bite-sized pieces. I guess it's 1 piece per pita quarter? I don't mind the cost but I feel it's not worth that.

I may give them another shot later in the year with a full dinner inside the restaurant but... I'm not as eager as I was before I ordered lunch today.

To be frank, I'm disappointed as I heard good things about this place.

The steamed veg johl momos and chicken chow mein were excellent :) Beautiful room. The lunch menu was a bit confusing due to the formatting. I thought there were 4 items with the lunch option, rather than two). What we had was delicious!

Parking: Open parking lot. Several free spots. Parked right in front of the door.

Decided to take a drive and try some different food. Shared some appetizers and desserts with mum and sister and all of us enjoyed what we ordered-particularly the lamb ribs and yak sausage. Server was a little overwhelmed but experience will take care of that. Would absolutely recommend for an amazing flavourful meal.

Amazing! The owner is a fantastic host, the food was perfect. The Cod with corn curry was the perfect balance of sweet and savoury!

We did not feel the least bit rushed to finish our meals and were there for an experience versus a typical rushed dining of most chain restaurants.

Truly a gem in Cochrane!

It's hard to order from Aama because deciding on the best dishes is impossible. I want to order one of everything. Tonite we got takeout and while the service was excellent, the food was absolutely incredible. These guys are an excellent addition to the neighborhood and Cochrane.

We went for a vine and dine event and it was fantastic. Food was excellent, service was amazing and the ambiance great. We really enjoyed our evening and will definitely be back.

A neighbour recommended this restaurant and my daughter decided she’d like to celebrate her birthday at Aama. She loves yak and was curious as to the differences between Nepalese and Tibetan cuisine.

We started off with fried yak momos. These are very tasty stuffed dumplings. We shared the Thali meal for 2. OMG! EVERYTHING was amazing!!! The yak was so tender and absolutely delicious. The buttered rice is unbelievably great. The two veggie dishes were fantastic. The spices and herbs used made for complex, interesting and phenomenal flavours.

Wondeful food, everything was delicious and well seasoned. The cocktails with a Nepalese spin on them are very nice as well.

We met the owner and her sister and they were very nice and welcoming.

Stumbled in and so happy we did, very clean and lovely decor. The service was outstanding, the owner helped make recommendations which were fantastic. The food was incredible!!! We had the soybean salad and yak dumplings to start, both fresh and so full of flavor. We then shared a platter and every single part of it was amazing, more than enough food for the two of us. Highly highly recommend checking this place out, you won't be disappointed!!

Amazingly good food, definitely worth a visit. Chef G was very friendly and the restaurant itself is very clean and welcoming. They did not cheap out when they decorated the restaurant. Highly recommend.
