Our first time visiting today and we will be back! Without a doubt the best food we’ve had at a restaurant in a very long time.

Brisket sandwich was the favorite for my husband and I, elk burger was great, pulled pork sandwich and kids nachos were a hit with the kids. Kids nachos was huge with layered ground beef and lots of cheese (options of pull pork, brisket, chicken, lobster).

Laura was our server and she was amazing. Super friendly, great customer service.

We are from Airdrie and would make the drive just for this restaurant ⭐️

It’s unfortunately gotten expensive over the years to visit and the noise level can be challenging at times. The patio is wonderful and so is the staff. We used to come every Thursday for years, and the staff kept us coming back. Food is good, but overpriced for what you consistently get. Beer is phenomenal!

We did an online order tonight and when the order originally showed up (delivered via Uber) it was missing a 6 pack, sweet potato fries & side salad/dressing. Called a few times and finally got the bartender. One of the gentlemen working made two trips to our hotel to deliver drinks & food and make things right. Thank you! Much appreciated.

Their holiday specials sounded so good. However the burgers here are amazing, had the black and blue burger and it was tasty. Patio is dog friendly and all year round with a great view. Minus one star as they should add a Vermouth to their bar batch in order to be able to make a dirty Martini like they once used to.

We recently hosted a large gathering in the upper room at Half Hitch, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The space was absolutely beautiful - warm, inviting and perfect for a big group. The service was outstanding; the team handled a large number of guests with ease and professionalism, making everything run smoothly. The food was perfect - delicious, well prepared, and served promptly. Overall, the event exceeded my expectations in every way. We selected Half Hitch for a venue to host a retirement party and celebration for close friends and colleagues. From menu planning with kitchen manager (Dan) and his back of house team to service planning with GM (Gavin) and his front of house team, everyone at Half Hitch were exceptional to work with and the rustic loft room perfect for our event and evening. Our guest list of 70 have raved to us about the experience since the celebration from quality, choice and flavour of food to efficiency of service and atmosphere of the entire space. The team went above and beyond to serve also the needs of the entire including dietary restrictions and preferential requests. We highly recommend Half Hitch as a top tier event space in Cochrane! Thank you to the entire team for making our experience so amazing and the evening so special for our close friends and colleagues

Had a fairly decent experience at Half Hitch. Serving gal was very attentive and friendly. Service was prompt. However I wouldn’t recommend the Black and Bleu burger. The bleu cheese flavour was way too strong with nothing sweeter to counter it. Also tasted a bit burnt. The fries were mucho salty. I don’t mind an $80 bar meal for two if the food is good but think I’ll try someplace else next time.

Third visit, twice with my husband and once with a group of 7 friends ( who drove all the way from Airdrie to check out the food and vibe!). The food is really good with a creative twist (check out the Black and Blue Burger), I can’t stop craving the parmigiana truffle fries. The staff are friendly and the Christmas decor is cool charming. I reached out to Chef Dan hoping to buy some black hamburger buns for surprise for my son’s birthday dinner. He after he very graciously agreed to sell me some he comped them to us during dinner! Christmas blessings!

Wonderful time spent at Half Hitch tonight! Great food, hilarious server, and adorable Christmas decorations. Ordered the blackberry burger and it did not disappoint. The table shared stuffing bites and while the cranberry sauce could use a tad more sweetness, they were absolutely delicious. Thank you!
