Absolutely great prices
A great place to meet friends or just to have a lunch with a co-worker. It has a nice atmosphere inside and is very comfortable. The menu has lots of choices. The food is well prepared and is delicious. They have a lot of drink choices including non-alcoholic beers.

First impression was very favourable! A very warm place that appeared to have very good game viewing potential. Only had drinks (happy hour), but what we saw served looked great. Above all, the service was impeccable! The 2 servers we had contact with were outstanding. Will definitely return to this place.

Best spot to get together in town! I had their burger and it was divine. They now have pool table and darts and dope arcade games. Definitely worth swinging by for your next hang with friends or team meet-up.

The Lion Head Pub in Cochrane is a gem! Had a really nice night out catching up with a friend on Thursday. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with a true local pub feel. The service was awesome and my burger was delicious. Definitely check it out if you haven’t already - highly recommend!

Updated: came back, the server HIGHLY recommended the pizza, so I ordered it and it was absolutely horrible. Very obviously a cheap frozen pizza reheated, it tasted like cardboard. Again, I have no clue why people would pay good money for frozen food you can get a Costco. We actively avoid this place and we live within walking distance. A shame.
We want to love a local sunset pub so badly but none of the food is made in house fresh! Please please, we are BEGGING you to make good food in-house so that this place survives! We cannot come here often for frozen food, and I doubt the rest of the community will either. We will try again but only if your start making your own food. Server was great btw!

A True Gem in Cochrane! My recent visit to the Lion's Head Pub was an absolutely fantastic five-star experience from start to finish. This is what a true community pub should feel like, and it's clear the local ownership pours a lot of heart into this place. We started with some shareable appetizers and were pleasantly impressed. We had the Garlic Dry Ribs, Tex Asian Chicken Bites, and the Calamari. Each dish was packed with its own unique and incredible flavor, a welcome departure from the generic, run-of-the-mill pub food you often find elsewhere. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, and the portions were very generous. For our main, we shared the Deluxe Pizza, and it was perfect. It was loaded with toppings and had extra sauce, just the way we like it. The portions were so generous that we had leftovers for the next day! The crust was excellent, and like the appetizers, it was delivered piping hot to our table by two staff members. The service was impeccable. We were warmly greeted by the bartender the moment we walked in. Our server was super friendly and professional, timing everything perfectly. She came back to check on us shortly after we received our food to ensure everything was to our liking and to see if we needed anything else. I was also really impressed with the variety of non-alcoholic beverages available, which is a thoughtful touch not all places offer. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable, with a great mix of people—from individuals to families with children, representing all ages. It truly felt like a gathering place for the community. We will definitely be back!

Best Fish & Chips in Cochrane!
Lion Head Pub nails it. The fish and chips are perfectly battered, super crispy, and served with amazing pub fries—easily the best I’ve had in years. The nachos are a close second. Great food, great vibe. Highly recommend!

For the last couple of days, I’ve come into your guises restaurant and I was greeted by lovely waitress with long brown hair. She was an absolute gem. I didn’t get her name, but she was very friendly and super great not only that the food was amazing.

Server I had was very kind. Food was decent but the spacing is a little small. But they played all the bangers from my youth so that was sick

“Fantastic Food and Atmosphere!”
The Lion’s Head Pub is hands-down one of the best spots in Cochrane. I had the hot wings and the fish & chips, and both were absolutely excellent — the wings had the perfect balance of heat and flavor, and the fish was crispy, golden, and delicious. You can tell they take pride in the quality of their food.
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a true pub feel that makes you want to stay a little longer. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure everything was just right without ever feeling rushed.
If you’re looking for great food, great service, and a place that always hits the mark, I’d highly recommend the Lion’s Head Pub. I’ll definitely be back!
