Amazing food from start to finish. The Calamari was delicious, the ceaser salad was good, the gravy was good and the pepper shrimp pasta was delicious and then of course the dessert!!! Sooooo good!! And then the service was so on point!! We were very pleasantly surprised and will definitely return. This place is above and beyond!

We had a wonderful time for my fiance's birthday. The service was exceptional even in these times of limited staff. Our dinner party had a blast. Cold beer, hot food and great conversations. I will be sure to visit again.

This pandemic has turned this sector completely sideways, upside down and now throwing everyone upright again with almost no consideration.I appreciate the owners here and their resourcefulness pulling in family members to get the job done - thank-you.This was our first choice to bring our parents for an authentic east-coast, fish & chip dinner! As new residents of Cochrane, we carefully chose a spot we knew they'd love -- and we chose correctly.Thankfully getting the last 'special' (Fish Tacos -- YUM!) the entire enjoyed each of their choices down to the last bite.If you're reading this looking for other's experiences before choosing, look no further and call to reserve. It'll be busy.Great job Schooners On First! This won't be our last visit.

Had this place on my radar for years before finally checking it out. Not sure why I waited so long, it's awesome! The food was outstanding (ordered crab legs and fish & chips.) The service was great as well. I was super impressed by how attentive, helpful and friendly our server was, juggling us dining in with a flurry of takeout orders!

Ordered halibut, chips and Cole slaw (salad). Could not eat in due to Covid restrictions. All the food was wonderful, well cooked and not greasy - quite enjoyed the meal and in fact, ordered a second meal a week later!!
Excellent food and service as always. They brought the food curbside and were lovely about it.

Have been hearing good things about Schooner's so took a drive in to find out if it lived up to all the hype. Sadly, it did not.The staff were extremely nice and very pleasant. Quick to greet and were attentive.We ordered - Halibut and chips, chicken strips, calamari and the chowder soup.HALIBUT had a nice light batter and was cooked perfectly. The highlight of our meal!CHIPS were very good. For the 2020 award winning fries it didn't live up to that.CHICKEN was bland. Reminds me of A&W strips, except not as salty.TARTAR SAUCE was ok. Strong mustard flavor and not tangy.CALAMARI nice size rings and decent flavor. Not crispy at all. I wonder if they would have been crispy had we dined in.TZATZIKI was flavorless and runny.CHOWDER SOUP was lacking in flavor and substance. All potato with a mediocre amount of clams. No carrots or celery.Overall, it was not worth the drive. Also, the value for money was not there. The portions were quite small and was overall dissatisfied.Don't think we will go again.
