The Canadian Brewhouse (Cochrane)

We were there for Game 1 World Series, so it was energetic and packed. Great to watch the game obviously, but had to leave at 9 (because we had a minor with us). We knew this ahead of time, so we packed our food to go and raced home to watch the ending. Loved being able to reserve a table. That was sooooo nice on such a busy night.

Surprisingly poor local beer selection. Lots of different beers but almost all macro and too many American beers. Thumbs down for so few local or craft beers, especially for a place called Canadian Brewhouse. Very misleading.

I completely forgot to get more pictures. We went for a relaxing quiet dinner. It was too busy and sports were playing in the background. Ordered some wings and I had the stirfry. Delicious. Brought home some takeout for my roommate.
Service was great, food was great. Lots of GF options and a dedicated fryer.

Love going here, but our most recent experience was abysmal. Drinks not properly served, asking for a cocktail without jalapeno and it's still in there, asking for water, delivered only after 3rd ask. Ordered 6 main courses, only to get served 5 and it took extremely long to serve the 6th, more than 15 minutes later. Refused the serving for being way too late. Got some apology and the promise to remove the missed meal from the bill. Got the same apology from 2 different persons and the missed meal was still on the presented bill. Furthermore the French fries were not hot, just luke warm. Ordered a club sandwich without tomatoes on it and the tomatoes were still there. Don't know what happened, but it did not live up to the standards we are used to.

We arrived early afternoon. Our group went to the outdoor patio as the weather was very hot. The waitress was very accommodating. A good selection of drinks and appetizers. It was a perfect time had by the whole group

We stopped in late at night and were drastically disappointed with nearly every aspect of our visit.

Upon arrival, the restaurant was not overly busy, with only a few groups of people dining. We seated ourselves near the bar and the server station- clearly visible to staff. Despite multiple direct eye contacts with servers walking by, we were ignored for about 10 minutes before someone finally approached and asked, “Has anybody served you yet?” The answer was obviously no.

When our drinks arrived, they were missing the sugar-rim detail that was part of the order. Not a major issue in itself, but it showed a lack of attention to detail.

The food was where things really went downhill. The nachos (ordered with extra cheese and beef) had the cheese piled on one small area, leaving more than half of the dish dry and bare. The pasta we ordered was equally disappointin- the chicken was rubbery and had the same taste and texture as pre-packaged grocery store chicken, not fresh at all.

Overall, the server was friendly, but the focus was clearly not on customer service. Between the lack of attentiveness, sloppy presentation, and poor food quality, our experience was underwhelming and disappointing. We will likely not return.
