A Cappella Catering has always been one of my favorites to work with as a wedding planner, but experiencing their service as a bride was beyond special. They provided a hot breakfast in the morning for our bridal party and a beautiful sandwich and wrap platter for lunch — both of which were delicious and thoughtfully prepared. I especially want to thank Melissa, who was absolutely wonderful to work with. From start to finish she was professional, responsive, and so kind. She made sure every detail was covered, from utensils and condiments with breakfast to carefully accommodating dietary needs at lunch. One of our guests required a gluten-free option, and they made sure it was wrapped separately and safely, which was such a thoughtful touch and very much appreciated. On a day that was busy and emotional, A Cappella and Melissa made everything seamless and stress-free. Their food was incredible, their service outstanding, and their care meant the world to us. I would recommend them to anyone — whether for a wedding or any event — they are the best of the best!

Paid for lunch, over a week ago, event was cancelled after payment made, no notice given, no reason given, no nothing received, demand money returned immediately.

We attempted to get Acapella Catering to cater a small Christmas work function with approximately 20 people. Over a month in advance we completed the online intake forms. Opted for the middle package, would have cost approximately $900-$1000. Email confirmations were received and an exchange of funds was to be delivered at the time of food drop off, weird business model but I’m not an expert in the field. Several phone calls were made leading up to the event, receiving no significant reassurance that the order would be filled but also never told that we would not be receiving our order. Fast forward to day of our event, delivery time arrives and passes. No food. Several calls to Acapella with no response. Outside of business hours, but this company operates outside of business hours. Again weird but I’m still not an expert in the field. As food is usually the focus in any sort of gathering of persons around a holiday, this was disappointing to say they least. Good thing there was a Panago nearby that could make up for every place that Acapella failed. There has been communication since and we have been offered a $100 credit, which is really a smack in the face given the circumstances. Maybe by next Christmas we will get over it and considering using the credit but probably not.

We were lucky enough to try your Take & Bake Christmas meal for the first time this year at a family gathering. We had ordered a Christmas meal from another establishment to enjoy a little meal on our own a couple of days later. Hands down, the meal from A Cappella was the better of the two and although we won’t say anything negative about the other place, we definitely won’t order from them again and we highly recommend A Cappella. Fabulous job!

We just attended a company Christmas party that was catered by A Cappella. As entertainers, we get to enjoy catered meals for weddings and corporate parties throughout the year and I can say unequivocally that this was the BEST meal that we have all year! The cabbage rolls, savoury stuffing and rouladen were insanely good (and I have worked in the restaurant industry for most of my life). Highly recommended!

I wouldn't know, Ive been inside for about a full week now. So I guess it must be my twin phone duo.

I recently had the responsibility of overseeing catering for a nationwide conference at the University of Alberta, and I would like to provide feedback on the service we received. While the quality of the food was satisfactory, and the catering assistants were polite, there were significant issues with the timeliness of meal and snack deliveries, particularly on the second day of the conference.

Given that the event was running on a tight schedule, with a lunch time set in advance, the delays were both frustrating and disappointing. As such, I would be cautious in recommending their services for events where adherence to a strict timeline is crucial, as it seems unlikely that they would be able to consistently meet such requirements.

Was corresponding with Melissa about booking the food truck for my wedding, I said I would phone back once I had my final guest numbers, called back and she booked my date and now I have to find another caterer for my day. Wedding planning is stressful enough and she should have been more mindful that “hey I have someone else looking at that day “ and given me a heads up. Horrible etiquette.

Back in 2022, I had the opportunity to attend an elite Yelp event that featured A Cappella Catering. I shared my experience by creating some videos and recommended their catering services to friends for gatherings. We’ve ordered from them a few times, and the beef brisket, in particular, was really enjoyable.

However, during a curbside promotion event last May, there was a misunderstanding about attendance, and unfortunately, it led to me being excluded from future events. I reached out to clarify, but it wasn’t resolved the way I had hoped.

Overall, while I’ve had good experiences with the food itself, my interactions behind the scenes left me feeling disappointed. I believe events like these should foster a sense of community, and I hope future experiences can be more positive for others.

Overall it was okay. The seasonal veggies were expensive for not much and not a lot of flavour. Seemed expensive for the amount of food that came. Not worth the price tag. Salad, rolls and cauliflower were good.

The sandwiches they served were ham and beef which seemed like they were both from the scraps.
And the egg salad and the chicken salad sandwiches both had the center hard white pieces of lettuce on them.
The chicken catchatori meals were pretty fatty and the desserts were dried out cupcakes.
Horrible food.

We were referred to A Cappella as Upper Crust were unavailable for our Sunday wedding. We worked with Melissa via email picking the menu and were able to customize it to exactly what we wanted. We had multiple nutritional requirements and they were meant beautifully.

The staff on the day were thoughtful and kind and worked within the limitations of catering a home wedding out of our kitchen. We were delighted with the food and would not hesitate to use A Capella again.

We contacted them later in the week to prepare a party for Friday night. Excellent service, great food, so easy to work with.

We hired A Capella for a last minute birthday party for about 45 people. Deluxe menu was recommended and enjoyed by all. My order was taken (and changed about 12 times - sorry!) by Sarah. She was helpful, quick to respond and great to work with.

The staff were great. Drop off and setup went smoothly and supper was excellent. We have used them several times before and will continue to!
