“This was my favorite restaurant for the last decade and one that I was always praising. Their food quality has diminished lately as their ma po tofu is watery and not as flavourful as it was years ago. It used to be the best ma po tofu in town and something that I ordered monthly. My main qualm with Padmanadi, though, is their ridiculous refund/cancelation policy. When your party makes a reservation for the buffet, you have to pay $5/person to do so. ~24 hours before your reservation, you get a request to confirm or cancel. What's ridiculous, though, is that apparently Padmanadi has a 48 hour cancellation/refund policy, meaning there is zero chance of a refund or use of the credit at a later date in the event of you becoming extremely ill and unable to attend. This is a scam and perpetuates the poor public health practice of people going out when they are ill and infecting others. Very disappointing to say the least.”

The patties have no fillers, so they are gluten free if you're looking for that, (no GF buns but they are still yummy without). And the chocolate milkshake was delicious (and also GF).Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options available. Hamburgers and hotdogs are gluten free without the bun. The milkshakes are gluten free as they do not have any additives such as breads or cookies crumbs. “Stopped in for lunch, and got a Super beef donair. It came with lots of meat, and a good amount of lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese to balance it out. It was wrapped nice and tight, didn't fall apart while I was eating it, and barely even leaked into the bag! The place is clean, the staff were friendly, and the food came out fast and hot. Will be going again for sure.”

“I accidentally forgot my pouch with wallet in it. It was only three hour later that I realized I had lost my wallet. I went to A and W and they had my pouch in safe keeping. I was so happy to get it back . Very honest people who declined to accept my cash reward . The manager told me that they were happy for me and all they want was our patronage and support from us. “At last, we have finally returned here since the pandemic started. It's been several years but well worth the wait. We would always go to this restaurant whenever we are in town. It's my favorite Vietnamese restaurant here in Edmonton. Food Grilled meat vermicelli. $16 My wife chose the grilled pork. Generous amount of meat and grilled just right. Comes with fish sauce on the side which we poured all of it in. Delicious! Northern Vietnamese soup $15 The broth is the star in this dish. Maybe made with star anise or maybe five spice but we are guessing here. Comes with chicken breast slices and well done and rare beef. It's so good. Also had the Vietnamese coffee which was good as always. Let it steep through, stir it with the condensed milk and pour into your ice cup. So refreshing on a hot day. Service 2 servers came by within 5 minutes of us sitting down. Food came out immediately nice and hot. They also came by to see how the first bites were, which were very good. Craving Vietnamese? Do your palette a favor and come here.”

“The first thing I will say is that we had some trouble finding this automated pizzaria. We wandered around the first (ground) level of Heart of the Robbins building for thirty minutes eliciting several side-glances from young students. This automated pizzaria is NOT in the cafeteria. Go upstairs one level and you will see the machine. (Its about the size of a single wide mobile home). Additionally, the pizzeria is operational 24/7 so don't be dismayed by opening and closing hours of various macewan food vendors.Just some back story on PizzaForno; the machine doesn't actually create the pizza, they are made off-site and stocked in the morning, never frozen. The machine (from an unnamed French manufacturer) puts your selection into a high tech convection oven and blasts hot air on it for 3 minutes before boxing and projecting it like your old copy of Independence Day.Once you find PizzaForno get ready for the most thrilling and satisifying food ordering experience ever. A large touch screen prompts you to choose a type of pizza, typically there are approximately 6 options. My dining companion chose pepperoni, which was half price due to national pepperoni pizza day! The "hamburger" pizza seems like a hit with the locals, since it was sold out. With the half price discount their pizza was only $6.00. I paid a little more for my vegetarian pizza, however it was unsurprisingly worse than the pepperoni. It looked like someone shot the toppings on it with a vegetable shotgun, blasted into in a cluster near the centre of the pizza. The moisture of the vegetables was great enough that it prevented the high quality mozzarella from reaching it's chewy browned potential. Even though their recipes need honing, I didn't dock a star since the quality was obviously still high and the pepperoni pizza was hard to slight; chewy flavorful crust and perfectly cooked throughout.My dining companion and I enjoyed our delicious pizza's in the comfortable seating area next to the pizzeria whilst wondering playfully about the future of food service, and the possibilities of stocking your fridge at home with precooked PizzaForno's (an option if you want to cook it at home and relax on the couch with your feet up) and even the potential of putting a PizzaForno in a park (borden park?). While we embraced the revelations of this emancipatory technology, we watched students bustling about campus. Even if we don't see it on this earth, perhaps one day somewhere there will be an automated post-scarcity economy where beings will be free to eat pizza and fully persue their creative potential.”

I spent around $25 (with tip and tax) for a nice combo of Dynamite Rolls and 2x Salmon Nigiri and 2x Tuna Nigiri.The service was extremely polite and fast and the restaurant dining area and bathrooms are very clean.Pictured is the aforementioned dynamite combo, and one of the cute Noren hanging on the wall (they have great decor, I should have snapped a few more pictures)Overall this place definitely deserves the 4.9 star rating they command. Go in and treat yourself!The only downside is that parking around this area is a bit tight. I just parked between Timmies/Michaels and walked across the street, less hassle and easier to get on the road home after.”

“Had outstanding service from a very nice gentleman(unfortunately cannot remember his name). I had the butter and cheese pasta and cannot recommend it enough; it’s delicious. My only complaint is that I had made a reservation, and while there were many other available tables, we were seated at the table right where the servers put the dirty dishes. There was theconstant noise of clanging dishes and it was hard to ignore. Other than that, we had a great time.”

We had the margaritas, the pomegranate was very crisp and refreshing and the pistachio was beautifully done. I wasn't sure how they would pull off the flavors in a margarita, but it was delicious in a surprising way I couldn't get enough of. The freshness of the ingredients and expertise of their preparation are the stars in their meals. The flavors of the ingredients are really made to shine and are accentuated by subtler flavors rather than overwhelmed by stronger flavors. Their mushrooms and eggplant were cooked perfectly for an exceptional texture I only wish I could replicate at home. We didn't have room for dessert unfortunately, but definitely plan to return to try again! Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to treat their tastebuds”

“The food was great. We had porotta, dragon chicken, fish curry thali for food. Mango Lassi and tea for drinks. The prices are reasonable. The quantity and quality of food were great! The only recommendation is there could be a little more quantity of Sambhar. Service was excellent. Manager Thomson came to each table to inquire about the diner's experience. He also suggested that there were snacks available which prompted me to buy snacks. Customer service has been greatly improved compared to the last couple of times I was there.”

I, like many am having some tough times with finances in our existing economy but I was hungry. I looked over the menu and I had mentioned in conversation that my budget is limited. I ordered the chipotle wrap, without chicken. When it came time to making it, lovely Ekta asked if I’d like chicken. She didn’t have to but bless her heart. “High Note Bar and Grill. Fun place to hang out. Live music many nights with a good sampling of the great talent in and around Edmonton. Our band, joe Ireland band, played High Note recently. Great sound system and stage. The staff and owners are very easy to deal with and provide a perfect place for acts to showcase their talent. They promote well and are actively involved in the show making sure everything is in order. Cheap beer, good grub and the owners and staff are super duper folks. Pool tables, Vlts. Always a good bunch hanging out at High Note. Lots of parking. Check out the place. It’s more then a bar. It’s a comfortable safe place to have a beer and a bite and play. Get there!”
