“This has been a favourite lunch and dinner spot for my university friends and I for years now. We have been here dozens of times and it’s always a fantastic hit. The staff are great, the cat robot is cute, the lamb is perfect every time. It’s a great place to chat and enjoy some really amazing food. I have been to hotpot in multiple places on Edmonton but this is by FAR the best. Again, really really great staff here too, I’m already going with more friends later this month. I can’t stay away!Vegetarian options: They have Vegetarian soups and food options here! Great variety“
“I've only been here twice so I've done variations of the build your own noodles. Excellent food, broths are excellent. This time, we got appetizers spicy wontons and the century egg + tofu. Both were delicious.Friendliest service at a Chinese restaurant award! ?Hoping to get a clay pot rice bowl next time! Just didn't have enough stomach room this time ;)“
“The ingredients are very fresh, and the soup base tastes great. The Angus beef is particularly delicious, and the fried dough sticks are also very delicious. The service of several ladies is also very good, especially Wen Jung. This experience is very good, and it is still new. Added ice cream, the kids love it. Recommended!“
“Definitely the best Chinese restaurant in Edmonton. Flavours are fantastic, staff are friendly and the restaurant is clean and welcoming. This is an underrated and undefeated spot for Chinese food and always will be ! HIGHLY recommend the Mongolian beef, Korean chicken and Szechuan noodles. We get them every time and they’re always 10/10.“
“Food was really good, a great variety of food available to pick from, and has a topping bar with sauces to pick from. Service was pretty good paced, constantly had food, and servers were polite. Restaurant was pretty clean, and there were seats available.“
“This is my go-to hot pot place that never disappoints. The southside location has its ups and downs and but Chinatown location is always consistently good. My hot pot experience at other restaurants haven’t always been all that pleasant where they offer low quality, tasteless, cardboard-like meat. But Chinatown Asian Express always serve fresh, good quality meat and veggies. You must try their homemade fish mesh - my fav.“
“We were happy with our whole experience here. We came here as soon as we arrived in Edmonton and after driving for 3 hours we were all starving and the food came very quickly. We got everything we ordered in a timely manner. Our server ( a guy wearing glasses) was very nice. We’ll be back next time we are in town.“
“Good! We ordered combo for 2. Picked the soup of Doenjang-Jjigae. The portion of the corn cheese was on a smaller size but thats okay. Meat is tender and have lots of flavour best one is probably the marinated La galbi. The table is definitely have enough space for the combo that we have and all the side dishes but i remember eating with 4 people here as well and thats when its gets a little tricky with all the stuff in the tableParking: Parking during the day is busy and tight but when we went during dinner lots of open space“
“They have 5 soup options for your pot. Satay, Tom yum, chicken with century egg, organic chicken, and vegetarian. I had the organic chicken soup ($2) and the taste not very bad. They have so many type of fishball, for me, I'd recommend for shrimp and lobster fishball. It's quite hard to mixed your own recipe dipping sauce but just mix the sweet fish sauce with soy sauce and some chili oil. They also have a frash red Thai chili, just cut it to tiny pieces put in your sauce. They have a slide lamb, pork, and beef, basa shrimp and squid. $2 for pop and free for tap water. It's not authentic Bangkok but not very bad. Recommend to try. Good staffs and nice services, nice place for groups family or friends. Parking infront of the restuarant.“
“This was my first time trying a Vietnamese restaurant. I was sick and my friend took me there to try noodles, and it was amazing. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. Our server kindly taught me how to use chopsticks, and she was truly fantastic.“
