“My family and I came here today (Family Day) with my parents to try the buffet.Myself, partner and two young children are vegan. Staff let us know that the vegan buffet is on Friday. However, they were extremely accommodating when we asked about vegan options available at today’s buffet. They let us know what was vegan, and even went out of their way to prepare us additional vegan items that were not part of the buffet today for no additional cost.The food was yummy and the service was excellent! A mediterranean restaurant on 124st serving halal meats and specializing in varying types of hummus.I am always on the look out for new and tasty restaurants in Edmonton that have a large vegetarian selection (for my partner) so when I saw Vish come across my instagram, it sounded like somewhere we had to try.We went to check it out on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. We thought it would be busy but it really wasn't too bad. The restaurant is small and cozy, with a big window giving it lots of natural sunlight and making for a great people watching spot. The restaurant was clean and staff were friendly and attentive.Vish is a order at the counter place, take a seat and they will bring your food to your table kind of place. The menu is pretty big and we had a hard time choosing what we wanted to try for our first time there but we ultimately settled on a BBQ pulled beef pocket, a vegetarian chicken pocket and the Complete Vish hummus.Initial thoughts were that it was a decent amount of food but wouldn't be too much and that everything looked really good. The pockets were delicious and incredibly filling. I really didn't think i would be as full as I was at the end. I guess I probably could have done without the complete vish but I really REALLY wanted to try one of their hummus dishes. Zero regrets. lol. My partner loved his fake chicken pocket too and he even got an extra pita for the hummus bowl.Conclusion: We really enjoyed Vish and found it to be a great sunny day lunch spot. We'll certainly be back. Next up to try will be one of Vish's combo plates. They looked so good on the insta page and happened to eye ball one another patron was having.“
“This is a fantastic take out place, the food is hot and fresh and good quality. Lots of food, ordered meal for three and for sure four people could share. Staff are friendly and helpful. I have been here a couple times now and will be back for take out or delivery they would be hard to beat.“

I didn't tell him until after all of this was vegan. He said with food like this "I could be vegan!" “My wife and I recently started eating more and more vegan options and we wanted to try restaurant quality food. We ordered out the nachos , mystery burger, brunch burger and our son got the Mac and cheese. We also got a chocolate chip cookies and two pieces of chocolate cake. My son and wife are lactose intolerant and get very sick from dairy so to find this place was amazing. Every bit of food we got was amazing. “It is just so nice to go to a place and be able to order anything off the menu. Service was excellent and the portions were appropriate. The nachos were well stacked and the sandwich was very big. Fries were tasty albeit a little limp. But all in all it's a good place for quick food.“

“From out of town, someone recommended the Paratha selection.Was not disappointed. The Paratha and Raita combination was brilliant, Simple and right mix. I ordered the low spice heat which shows the true mix of amazing mix of spices.As Indian service goes (which has its own scale) it rates a 10 as well. The servers were kind and prompt without disappearing for long periods. I hope you get the same experience.“

When I recieved the bowl I noticed what looked like a yogurt based sauce and when I googled it, the bowl was said to contain dairy.I was so upset, as I'm severely lactose intolerant. However the lovely server offered to make me another bowl with a different dressing. Dinner was saved! And the mezze bowl was delicious!!Dietary restrictions: There are options for those of us with dietary restrictions, however it's only easy to find restrictions on the website. We called ahead to get a phone contact so we could give the store a lot of hours notice for our order. “We came here for a Christmas party buffet for about 100 people. The conference rooms were fully booked and even with that it wasn’t overly crowded in the bathrooms or buffet area.I brought my wife and 4 kids with us and we all found something in the buffet to eat without issue.The service was great when cleaning tables and any interactions we had with them.I would recommend the conference rooms for any get together and parties.“

“This was my favorite restaurant for the last decade and one that I was always praising. Their food quality has diminished lately as their ma po tofu is watery and not as flavourful as it was years ago. It used to be the best ma po tofu in town and something that I ordered monthly. My main qualm with Padmanadi, though, is their ridiculous refund/cancelation policy. When your party makes a reservation for the buffet, you have to pay $5/person to do so. ~24 hours before your reservation, you get a request to confirm or cancel. What's ridiculous, though, is that apparently Padmanadi has a 48 hour cancellation/refund policy, meaning there is zero chance of a refund or use of the credit at a later date in the event of you becoming extremely ill and unable to attend. This is a scam and perpetuates the poor public health practice of people going out when they are ill and infecting others. Very disappointing to say the least.“
