“Have you ever been to a restaurant so good you leave a review before you’ve even left? I’m not just talking about the food but the service to. I walked into La Patrona today around 130PM after driving 9 hours from BC for a funeral tired, hungry and just meh. I was greeted with the brightest smile , the smells were incredible. Immediately sat down at a table. My food came out fast , hot and so so phenomenal. The portions HUGE. I still can’t rave enough about my lovely waitress ! The kindest smile , such a soft spoken voice and just radiating with positivity. Kindness goes along way in life. Highly recommend!“

“This place has become a favorite destination for us, our parents and our grown children. The food quality and consistency is excellent, and there is a family-owned vibe to the forward facing staff. I was early to pick up my takeout order and sat in the waiting area until my food was ready - and during that time close to a dozen people came in who were all regulars that joked and visited with the hostess while they were seated. If you are looking for an at-home dining experience with excellent food, this place should be on your list!“

“I was very impressed by the food and service, I felt very welcome! I generally don't like most burrito places but burrito libre does something right with their food, the meat was genuinly so good, thank you to my server you are a good man!“

“Almost a year later I brought my friend to the restaurant for her birthday. She ordered prawns with cashews. It came with eight shrimp, absolutely not prawns, and a pile of green peppers, celery carrot, and large hunks of onion topped with a scattering of cashews in a very boring sauce. 6/10
Our second dish was Beef Satay. A good portion of tasty beef on the sizzling iron plate. Accompanied by onions, carrots, mushrooms and large pieces of green peppers. The menu suggested it was spicy but that was not the case, however, the sauce was decent. 6/10

A bowl of vermicelli noodles was exactly that.

Satisfaction level a 5, presentation a 5, value a 5, atmosphere a 6, service a 6.
The restaurant continued to fill up throughout the evening. Obviously we ordered the wrong dishes. 🙃

“Had a good experience at Sumo Sumo, the atmosphere was delightful, the server was very helpful and attentive, but unfortunately the food was somewhat of a miss.

I ordered the Joes special roll and the crab and salmon balls. The sushi was alright but the pieces were cut so big it was difficult to eat it. The crab and salmon special was 90% crab and tasted like it was just a gourmet California roll. The smoked salmon didn’t feel like it fit well taste-wise with the dish and there was very little mango sauce to balance out the flavours. It mainly tasted like I was just eating imitation crab.

While the service was incredible, the food ultimately just wasn’t a huge hit for me compared to some other sushi places in Sherwood Park.“

Waited 30 minuets to be served.
Waited another 30 minuets for food.
Several people that arrived after us were served and received there food before us.
No one came to use during this time to ask if we needed anything.
Food was good but not worth the wait.
Not sure what is happening as it was not very busy.
We will not be retuning.“

“I don’t typically do reviews for fast food restaurants but when I tell you, this was the best burger I have ever had in my life. I am not lying. If you’re somebody that really likes your food piping hot when you get it served to you this place will make you happy the burger and the fries were piping hot when they arrived crispy fries, crispy patty oh, and I also got a peanut butter milkshake which tasted like the Reese’s pieces not the peanut butter cups, but the Reese’s pieces in the box highly recommend 10 out of 10. The only complaint I have is that there isn’t a location closer to where I live.“
