“I’m from Philly visiting family in Edmonton. A friend recommended Phat Boy and wanted to know my opinion as I’m from the city of cheesesteaks. When I stopped by the restaurant, I spoke with the owner, who is very nice and said I was from Philly and looking forward to trying his cheesesteaks. What was interesting for me was that he imports the bread and the meat from Philly which makes a huge difference as it makes it authentic. As we talked, I also recommended that if he can, he should import to other local Philadelphia food items such as Tastykakes and pepper Hoagie Spread. Here’s honest review. The cheesesteak was very good and tasted like a genuine Philly cheesesteak. I wasn’t used to the breaded onions but it added a unique and delicious texture and taste.”

“The food, well it's corporate garbage. However the staff I find the most expedient and accurate of any Tim's I go to. Always have been served with a smile, unless it's 6am but who's smiling than anyway. The employees are awesome. The only negative thing I have to say is needing to ring the bell to have the staff come to the counter from drive thru, I don't like having to treat people as dogs coming to a whistle.”

“I been coming here every morning for a few years now. Love seeing Debora greet me at the window. She’s so lovely to everyone. The coffee and food majority of the time always comes out fresh. You can tell it’s well run and they change the oil often. We live closer the the McDonald’s in Emerald but that location is by far the worst in Sherwood Park so we always drive a little farther for great service and fresh food.”

“This A&W always has great fresh food. It's also quite clean. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the sound system. It's usually pretty loud techno music which doesn't work very well.”

“Still one of my all time favourite breakfast places! The brioche and French toast are amazing but the real winner is the mounds of fresh fruit that comes with the meals. You can tell them your preference and get more of one kind than another! One of my favourites is the 1990 harvest! Service is always great and it's always spotless when I visit!”

I’m the talent acquisition manager for a trucking company, and I’m up here hiring drivers, because we are expanding, so trying to find a quick good meal in between interviews is so hard! Authentic cuisine, the salad rolls are delicious, the pho had lots of meat, soup was tasty and the noodles cooked perfectly. “This is pretty much THE take-out place in town for us! The food is not always consistent (hence missing a fifth star), but always good. We have never eaten in the restaurant, it is very dark.

Vegetarian options: Once of the few places we found that knows how to cook tofu well (it remains soft inside), and that offers several veg dishes. We are particularly fond of the lemongrass tofu (spicy) and the sweet and salty vermicelli bowls.”

“I stopped at the emerald hills location today and cannot pay enough compliments to the lovely ladies who were working around 10am.
They were so busy with lines in the drive in and in store, I placed a mobile order from the parking lot to save myself the wait inside.
When I entered the store it was packed and I'm the brief time I waited I witnessed several interactions between the forms working and a bit of a challenging customer. Throught every interaction they all remained professional, polite and kept smiling through it all. As someone who has worked in the sucks industry for over 30 years I was so impressed by their composure, professionalism and positive attitudes!
Well done ladies! Will definitely make this my new go to store!”

The speaker quality is awful for both server and customer making it hard to ensure orders are correct and the outdoor menu is hard to read through the weathered/yellowed film.”

“If you haven't tried Cobbs Bread yet, you are missing out on great tasting bread and other baked goodies! We are tired of bland store bought bread. It tends to be doughy and pretty tasteless.We prefer the country grain loaves and we buy then 4 loaves at a time and freeze 3 of them. Their cinnamon buns are also a great treat. The cost is higher, but the old adage, "You get what your pay for" applies here. The ladies at this store are pleasant to and efficient!”

The ice cream is amazing and for $7 you get double was places like Marble Slab will give you for the same price or higher. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because one time when I went to get ice cream, I ordered a single scoop and the young woman working looked me up and down and asked "are you sure you don't want more?" I am plus sized and I found this to be extremely unprofessional. However, I have no seen her since that day so hopefully she is no longer working there.”

“Solid Shawarma family run hole in the wall Shawarma place. I had the chicken Shawarma and it was delicious. The toppings were all very fresh and you could taste it. The garlic sauce had good punch and the hot sauce was flavourful with being too hot. There was a wider variety of toppings than I was used to.
