“As I was having dinner, I was thinking of giving a 3 star rating to the restaurant. But the owner changed my mind. I have never seen a restaurant owner who would come over and ask for suggestions and feedback. Not only did he do so but he was very humble and carefully listened to our feedback. He even promised certain improvements as per our suggestions and invited us to return at a later date. Thoroughly impressed. The food was excellent especially the kebab platter and the kulchas. However, we did order a custom biriyani, Kolkata biriyani, but sorry that got a 0/10, which the owner gracefully acknowledged, not because it tasted bad but because it wasn't Kolkata biriyani by any standards.
A pro tip, medium spicy here may be high spicy for many, including me. Go for mild spicy if you otherwise go for medium. The service was spot on. Extremely courteous and prompt. I definitely recommend this place.“

“We were visiting Edmonton for the first time and heard about Chataka Dosa from a friend, so we decided to give it a try—and we’re so glad we did! The food was amazing. We ordered mini idli for our little one, along with masala dosa and gotala dosa. Everything was delicious, and the portion sizes were very generous.
Our little one found the chutney and sambar a little spicy, so I asked one of the staff members if we could get some ghee. She immediately brought it for us, which we really appreciated. The staff were friendly, helpful, and provided great service. We had a wonderful experience and would definitely visit again whenever we’re in Edmonton!“

“An aunt and my family hosted brunch for some relatives (29 adults and 4 kids) at the India Garden last Sunday. What a wonderful experience! Before the event, I talked to the owner, Ricky Dhanju, and he agreed to provide our suggested buffet items to accommodate our guests. Our family really enjoyed the food and the service (provided by Sharan and Nica) was impeccable. Prices are reasonable and there is ample free parking. We would highly recommend this restaurant. :-)“

“Really great Vegetarian food for an incredibly low price per month. I used their tiffin service for 5 months and I’m not disappointed. The portion is really great. Perfect for students like myself who want fresh food without the trouble of cooking yourself. I saw some negative comments. Gary is very understanding and helps as much as he can. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a tiffin service in Edmonton. Thank you Gary?
