“I’ve been coming here for 15+ years and it has been consistently good, so I figured a review is well overdue! This is the BEST pho in Edmonton hands down. It meets the trifecta of perfect pho: the broth is the clear and flavourful, the noodles have a great bite and don’t get soggy quickly, and the meat is tender. They also don’t skimp on the bean sprouts. They ONLY serve pho so you know it’s good!!! Keep in mind they’re cash/etransfer only (another point of legitimacy).

“Ate dinner with a friend. I was hungry and can eat quite a lot, so my number one concern was that the pho portion would be too small to satisfy me—I clearly didn’t have to worry about that! My friend and I each had a pho: I had the satay while my friend had their ‘everything pho’. The satay was huge and tangy, and incredibly tasty, with generous portions of meat and vegetables. And they gave us extra bean sprouts, lemon, and basil beforehand too! To be honest, because of the sheer size of the (multiple) menus I figured the food wouldn’t be that good; I was so wrong. My friend enjoyed too. The atmosphere was perfectly quiet and home-y. Our server, Thai, was so polite and pleasant and attentive. Highly recommend!“

We asked to try Vietnamese Iced Coffee, the owner approached, explained how it was traditionally made, confirming this was would meet our expectations. When it was served they explained the history and the process, it was delicious!

“Pros: The selection is good, food is fresh and kept topped up. The restaurant is clean. Good neighborhood compared to downtown. Cons: They no longer offer garlic by the sauces. We were not offered drinks or water refill. The soup was almost dry and we’re not offered more broth. I even saw the next table get their own broth to fill themselves. There were 3 of us and the bill came to $99 dollars with no tax. The woman’s toilet seat was frozen! The owner reminded my teen son (not us) that there is a 1.5 hr limit. There is a sign on the wall to say stop wasting food - I never started wasting food! There’s less rude signs that mean the same thing. Overall we’d go back because of the food and value. We have low expectations on welcoming service.“

My husband and I are foodies and this place is hands down our favourite restaurant of its kind in the entire City! It’s a real gem! This Ma and Pa shop has authentic high quality food made with real care and attention plus the service is excellent! The Pho broths are so flavourful and offer a generous amount of meat and other fresh ingredients so they are not only delicious but also very filling. Try the House special Pho or the spicy Vietnamese soup. We often order take out for special occasions when the family gets together and we have tried a wide variety of menu items that are all delicious! A few of our favourites are the black bean beef and the green papaya salad.
The owners are the sweetest kindest people who always greet us with a smile and are genuinely happy that we are there. Also, it’s a nice touch that they always remember our order. We typically eat at this restaurant at least once a week if not more and the food quality is consistently high. We love supporting friendly hard working people that care about the quality of their food and the comfort and satisfaction of their customers! This restaurant is open 364 days a year. Now that’s dedication!!“
