“This is one of the pho places I’ve tried that doesn’t require me to use hoisin sauce or hot sauce to make the soup taste better.

I ordered the pho specialty which comes with a bunch of different assorted meats.

My only complaints are that the server never checked up on me even though there were only 2 tables, and I wasn’t a big fan of their meat balls even though I generally LOVE meat balls in most pho places.“

“I’ve been coming here for 15+ years and it has been consistently good, so I figured a review is well overdue! This is the BEST pho in Edmonton hands down. It meets the trifecta of perfect pho: the broth is the clear and flavourful, the noodles have a great bite and don’t get soggy quickly, and the meat is tender. They also don’t skimp on the bean sprouts. They ONLY serve pho so you know it’s good!!! Keep in mind they’re cash/etransfer only (another point of legitimacy).

“We were greeted and seated immediately by the kindest lady. Our order was served piping hot and was over the top delicious! We asked to try Vietnamese Iced Coffee, the owner approached, explained how it was traditionally made, confirming this was would meet our expectations. When it was served they explained the history and the process, it was delicious!
We will definitely make the trip back and highly recommend!“

“One of my fave vietnamese restaurants in the city for over a decade.

Specializes in hard to find items like the duck salad bamboo noodle soup or vietnamese beef salad. The tapioca dumplings are the best i have tried in the entire city.

All the food is made from scratch from the two vietnames old ladies in the back that have been cooking for 17 years since they came to canada. The broths are simmered for hours using real bones. So the prices reflect the quality in the food.

This place is in a busy part of chinatown with lots of street parking available in the front.

“One of the better places I’ve been to for a great bowl of Pho; also enjoyed the spring rolls and green onion cakes. Very clean, good portions, quality tasting food and awesome staff. It’s in my old neighborhood and easy access off major routes of 50th Street and Baseline road. A good addition to the Capilano area, we will most definitively be back. Go try it for yourself.“

“Nicely renovated Vietnamese restaurant next to whitemud crossing library. Very quiet and service is quick. Relativel to other pho restaurants, their prices are cheaper and quality is better. Not as cheap as Pho Du in castle downs, but you get what you pay for here. Will come again!“

Had lunch here with my sibling and we both ordered combo #1. The food was good however, the table we had was just too close from the other tables. Talking is hard as the place is cramped, full of customers and there's music being played in the background.

Came here for an afternoon lunch
My sister and I ordered the combo #2.
It comes with wonton soup, beef, chicken and shrimp skewers, rice or noodles, spring rolls 😋
Every dish was delicious except for the wonton, nothing special about it.
The place is okay, feels like a cafeteria style environment, when paying for your food, you have to go to the till.
Service was efficient and okay.

Customer service so and so.
Not consistent with customer service, sometimes they pack your left overs and sometimes you pack your own.
Today, it wasn't busy at all and still I was given a container to pack my left over.
Plus when it comes to paying, they deliver the bill to you but you have to pay by the till area.
Definitely lacking in a complete good customer service to earn a 5 ☆ rating.

for lunch I ordered the special beef noodle soup, comes with generous meat portion, broth taste just right to my palate.

“Pros: The selection is good, food is fresh and kept topped up. The restaurant is clean. Good neighborhood compared to downtown. Cons: They no longer offer garlic by the sauces. We were not offered drinks or water refill. The soup was almost dry and we’re not offered more broth. I even saw the next table get their own broth to fill themselves. There were 3 of us and the bill came to $99 dollars with no tax. The woman’s toilet seat was frozen! The owner reminded my teen son (not us) that there is a 1.5 hr limit. There is a sign on the wall to say stop wasting food - I never started wasting food! There’s less rude signs that mean the same thing. Overall we’d go back because of the food and value. We have low expectations on welcoming service.“

“As a banh mi lover, this place is definitely worth the drive! The taste is authentic and the prices are affordable. They put a good amount of toppings in each banh mi and the bread is honestly one of my favourites—it’s soft and tasty on the inside but still has that perfect crunch, not dry or hard like some other places I’ve tried.

“Very authentic Vietnamese and some Chinese, Thai and Asia dishes. Simple but lots of flavours. Love the satay soup. It's spicy but full of flavor. I think it's one of the best I've tried so far. I would say their 2 hot spicy food are really spicy. Ask if you want less spiciness.
The skewers taste so good but a bit spicy. Love their food. If you are allergic to peanuts, watch out. You need to tell them.

My friend and I each had a pho: I had the satay while my friend had their ‘everything pho’. The satay was huge and tangy, and incredibly tasty, with generous portions of meat and vegetables. And they gave us extra bean sprouts, lemon, and basil beforehand too! To be honest, because of the sheer size of the (multiple) menus I figured the food wouldn’t be that good; I was so wrong. My husband and I are foodies and this place is hands down our favourite restaurant of its kind in the entire City! It’s a real gem! This Ma and Pa shop has authentic high quality food made with real care and attention plus the service is excellent! The Pho broths are so flavourful and offer a generous amount of meat and other fresh ingredients so they are not only delicious but also very filling. Try the House special Pho or the spicy Vietnamese soup. We often order take out for special occasions when the family gets together and we have tried a wide variety of menu items that are all delicious! A few of our favourites are the black bean beef and the green papaya salad.
The owners are the sweetest kindest people who always greet us with a smile and are genuinely happy that we are there. Also, it’s a nice touch that they always remember our order. We typically eat at this restaurant at least once a week if not more and the food quality is consistently high. We love supporting friendly hard working people that care about the quality of their food and the comfort and satisfaction of their customers! This restaurant is open 364 days a year. Now that’s dedication!!“
