I went here with my wife around 20mins before they closed shop, and got a veggie noodle pho and veggie banh mi. We sat and ate there, and the flavours were very comforting, warm, and savoury. I've never had home cooked Vietnamese meals - but I imagine this is what it wouls be like. Simple and savoury. The owner was very polite and I will definitely be back for more!
I've seen a lot about Da Kao on their dynamic social media, and I finally had the opportunity to stop in today. I love the atmosphere: bright, with fast food vibes. Service was also very friendly. I ordered a trio vermicelli bowl which comes with beef, chicken, and spring roll. I asked for a vegetarian spring roll, which was crunchy and full of veggie goodness. Yummy! My sandwich was so delicious, again. The bread was crispy as were the vegetables. The meat was fresh and there was just the right amount of pate. I have had at least five banh mi cold cut sandwiches in the past month or so. The staff are very friendly and quick to take your order and get you a glass of water if you are ordering to go. My favorite go to place for a nice light bite. Thanks Da Kao!!
