I have never had a good experience here. Today I ordered a sub with extra veggies and got charged extra $5. It was a surprise for me as I wasn’t been told for the extra charge when I ordered. I still paid $17 for the sub with the hope they would give me enough veggies for the price of half of the sub but NO. This was what I got. I called and complained and they offered me free extra veggies but I won’t be back. I really want to support young adults who run the restaurant but just kept being disappointed.

I went here with my wife around 20mins before they closed shop, and got a veggie noodle pho and veggie banh mi. We sat and ate there, and the flavours were very comforting, warm, and savoury. I've never had home cooked Vietnamese meals - but I imagine this is what it wouls be like. Simple and savoury. The owner was very polite and I will definitely be back for more!

I've seen a lot about Da Kao on their dynamic social media, and I finally had the opportunity to stop in today. I love the atmosphere: bright, with fast food vibes. Service was also very friendly. I ordered a trio vermicelli bowl which comes with beef, chicken, and spring roll. I asked for a vegetarian spring roll, which was crunchy and full of veggie goodness. The beef and chicken were cooked in a sauce - the beef reminded me of teriyaki and I am pretty sure the chicken had some sort of sweet sauce with notes of fish sauce. The meat lacked the grilled taste I have come to expect in Vietnamese vermicelli bowls, but the portion was large, the vegetable fresh, and the noodles perfectly cooked. I also had an iced coffee slush to drink, which was delicious. I could see myself coming here in the summer just to get one to go, or perhaps one of their other drinks. I would also come here again to try something else food-wise.

My daughter and I went for the first time and we will be back. It is fairly priced, good portion sizes and delicious.It was the first time my 10 year had a Banh Mi and she had one of those change of life moments. She just loved it.

Went in and order a Togo dishThe restaurant is death , no customer in there at that time. So I don't think there should be any reason for the kitchen to rush on my dish.The spring roll is completely under cooked that I could even smell the meat inside, so gross. The grill pork is salty.Very disappointed!

This place was an absolute delight! We had the salad rolls, vegetarian spring rolls, 3 meat pho, and peanut satay soup.The flavours were amazing! The soup was piping hot and so delicious. The portion sizes were insane. I could only finish half but took the rest home cause I'm not missing out on the rest of this soup.The customer service was amazing, our waitress/ cashier was very attentive and kind.I will absolutely come back and highly recommend it if you're looking for pho on the west end!

I had 5 colour vermicelli bowl with rice instead of the noodles Best tasting pork and rice dish ever. The sauce in which pork was cooked was amazing and the combination with veggies was the perfect marriage. Love to go back and try the whole menu one by one.
