I’ve had stomach surgery and can’t eat large portions, so finding places that offer flexible portion sizes and good food choices is important to me. I also have some hearing difficulties, and I explained this to the ladies at the front. They were incredibly patient, kind, and understanding. “Yummy! My sandwich was so delicious, again. The bread was crispy as were the vegetables. The meat was fresh and there was just the right amount of pate. I have had at least five banh mi cold cut sandwiches in the past month or so. The staff are very friendly and quick to take your order and get you a glass of water if you are ordering to go. They usually don’t take reservations, but kindly made an exception so we could celebrate a birthday party, which we really appreciated. The staff was very friendly and took great care of us. No big deal, but I was starting to get tired from waiting. 25 minutes later my food was brought out by a manager apologizing non stop adding that he threw in an addition dessert! Was not needed but so appreciate and delicious. In the end the wait was long but the kindness of staff made the wait worth it.

“My boyfriend & I love this place. I’m so thankful to be able to get delicious donairs again since finding out I’m Celiac. We usually order from SkipTheDishes and the owner remembers my partner at this point. He’s always been lovely and the food is so good. I’m about to order from here today also actually and noticed if you’re keto there seem to be keto-friendly donairs too! I really love the East Coast donair (gluten-free) personally and my partner loves the Maple donair which I’m pretty sure he also gets GF usually. He also loves the butter chicken poutine. I definitely want to try more foods here. My only struggle is I wish I could get gluten-free baklava. I see that there’s baklava but it’s sadly not gluten-free and it would be so nice one day to see a GF option for baklava there. I would buy so much. Thanks Prairie Donair!! “Overall satisfied with the food, value and service. The servings were pretty big but able to be finished. Prices were very reasonable. Service was ok, short wait time for food and lovely atmosphere with soft music to set the vibe. We ordered Petti Di Pollo Alla Milanese, spaghetti bolognese, Sogliola Con Frutti Di Mare, Ciopino Al Chianti and creme caramel. Detailed review of these below.

Petti Di Pollo Alla Milanese (Breaded chicken): The chicken is thinly flattened into a massive disc, way bigger than i was expecting. It's really good with lemon, it tastes like calamari to me due to the breading. It's basically just a squashed chicken schnitzel. It wasn't oily and not too salty, so i was pretty happy with how it tasted.

Spaghetti bolognese: Not good. It had a strong tomato flavour and was sour and peppery. The texture of the pasta and sauce was not appetising. Being an Italian restaurant you'd expect it to be decent, especially for being such a simple and popular dish, but it was far from it.

Ciopino Al Chianti (seafood with tomato, pesto & white wine sauce over linguini): It was generally tasty, the prawns were nice, but the scallops could be bigger and the calamari was tough and leathery.

Sogliola Con Frutti Di Mare (Sole fillet & seafood with pesto cream sauce): It was tasty enough. Nothing bad about this dish.

Vegetables that came with the breaded chicken and sole fillet: Steamed skin-on potatoes and carrot, and crispy breaded zucchini. They were good, obviously the potatoes and carrot have no seasoning so taste as you would expect. The zucchini tastes like plain zucchini but crispy. Not bad though!!

Creme caramel: I've had better. It wasn't a true creme caramel. It was more like a pudding than a creme caramel so disappointed.

Bonus: You get complimentary warm buns with butter to start which is nice. When the food is served, the waitresses shave parmesan over your food until you tell them to stop 😄 However, when the waitress came over to refill water, they didn't do the whole table even when there were empty glasses 🫤“
