Mike’s Famous Donair is a popular spot on Whyte Avenue known for its fresh, hot food. The chicken donair is praised as the best ever and tastes the same as six months ago. The cheese donair is also great. Portions are big, with a perfect amount of sauce and meat, and the lettuce and tomato are crisp and fresh. Burger and fries are large and crunchy, especially carnival fries. The chicken shawarma has amazing garlic sauce. Service is friendly and quick, and the price is excellent. The Salisbury burger is a favorite. Many customers keep coming back, even late for drinks. Outside seating is ideal in summer, and the place feels nostalgic.
