“Such a great little hole in the wall spot! We ordered the #21 soup and #101 beef curry, and both were fantastic. The broth was effortlessly flavorful, rich, comforting, and delicious without being overly salty or heavy. The beef curry had the perfect amount of spice, tons of flavour, and fresh vegetables.

The service was also incredibly kind and welcoming. Nothing fancy, just really good food, great portions, and lovely people. Definitely one of those hidden gems you’re happy you found. We’ll absolutely be back!“

“Really good, authentic Vietnamese spot. You know it’s legit when the menu looks like it came straight from Vietnam, they’re explaining the ingredients to you, and you can hear a full family argument happening in the back 😂

We got the beef satay pho and it was so good. Simple, fresh ingredients, tons of flavour, and honestly a perfect work lunch. The staff were really nice too and took the time to explain everything.

Definitely recommend if you want actual good Vietnamese food and not some overly fancy version of it. Will be back.“

“This is one of the pho places I’ve tried that doesn’t require me to use hoisin sauce or hot sauce to make the soup taste better.

I ordered the pho specialty which comes with a bunch of different assorted meats.

My only complaints are that the server never checked up on me even though there were only 2 tables, and I wasn’t a big fan of their meat balls even though I generally LOVE meat balls in most pho places.“

“Yummy! My sandwich was so delicious, again. The bread was crispy as were the vegetables. The meat was fresh and there was just the right amount of pate. I have had at least five banh mi cold cut sandwiches in the past month or so. The staff are very friendly and quick to take your order and get you a glass of water if you are ordering to go. “We visited PhoEver Banh Mi Subs & Cafe for dinner on Canada Day and had a really good first experience. Even though we’ve lived in north Edmonton for over 20 years, this was our first time trying this spot, and with the location being newer to the area, we wanted to check it out.

The food was very good — fresh, flavourful, and enjoyable overall. It’s always nice to see new food options opening in the community, and this place definitely has potential.

The one constructive note would be around the speed of service. We came at a quieter time, possibly because it was Canada Day and many people may have been out of the city, but I did notice a few people come in and leave before ordering. My assumption is that the wait or pace of service may have been a factor. As they continue to establish themselves and grow, improving the flow and speed of service would make the experience even better.

“I’ve been coming here for 15+ years and it has been consistently good, so I figured a review is well overdue! This is the BEST pho in Edmonton hands down. It meets the trifecta of perfect pho: the broth is the clear and flavourful, the noodles have a great bite and don’t get soggy quickly, and the meat is tender. They also don’t skimp on the bean sprouts. They ONLY serve pho so you know it’s good!!! Keep in mind they’re cash/etransfer only (another point of legitimacy).

It’s a family recipe that I have grown up with since I was a child. Absolute god-tier pho for a great price

“We were greeted and seated immediately by the kindest lady. Our order was served piping hot and was over the top delicious! We asked to try Vietnamese Iced Coffee, the owner approached, explained how it was traditionally made, confirming this was would meet our expectations. When it was served they explained the history and the process, it was delicious!
We will definitely make the trip back and highly recommend!“

“One of my fave vietnamese restaurants in the city for over a decade.

Specializes in hard to find items like the duck salad bamboo noodle soup or vietnamese beef salad. The tapioca dumplings are the best i have tried in the entire city.

All the food is made from scratch from the two vietnames old ladies in the back that have been cooking for 17 years since they came to canada. The broths are simmered for hours using real bones. So the prices reflect the quality in the food.

This place is in a busy part of chinatown with lots of street parking available in the front.

“Pros: The selection is good, food is fresh and kept topped up. The restaurant is clean. Good neighborhood compared to downtown. Cons: They no longer offer garlic by the sauces. We were not offered drinks or water refill. The soup was almost dry and we’re not offered more broth. I even saw the next table get their own broth to fill themselves. There were 3 of us and the bill came to $99 dollars with no tax. The woman’s toilet seat was frozen! The owner reminded my teen son (not us) that there is a 1.5 hr limit. There is a sign on the wall to say stop wasting food - I never started wasting food! There’s less rude signs that mean the same thing. Overall we’d go back because of the food and value. We have low expectations on welcoming service.“

“As a banh mi lover, this place is definitely worth the drive! The taste is authentic and the prices are affordable. They put a good amount of toppings in each banh mi and the bread is honestly one of my favourites—it’s soft and tasty on the inside but still has that perfect crunch, not dry or hard like some other places I’ve tried.

My go to is the traditional cold cut and it never disappoints. The workers are also friendly and welcoming. Only suggestion would be to have some hoisin sauce packets available for those who like a little extra sauce on their banh mi. Other than that, definitely a spot I’ll keep coming back to!“

“Very authentic Vietnamese and some Chinese, Thai and Asia dishes. Simple but lots of flavours. Love the satay soup. It's spicy but full of flavor. I think it's one of the best I've tried so far. I would say their 2 hot spicy food are really spicy. Ask if you want less spiciness.
The skewers taste so good but a bit spicy. Love their food. If you are allergic to peanuts, watch out. You need to tell them.

My friend and I each had a pho: I had the satay while my friend had their ‘everything pho’. The satay was huge and tangy, and incredibly tasty, with generous portions of meat and vegetables. And they gave us extra bean sprouts, lemon, and basil beforehand too! To be honest, because of the sheer size of the (multiple) menus I figured the food wouldn’t be that good; I was so wrong. My friend enjoyed too. The atmosphere was perfectly quiet and home-y. Our server, Thai, was so polite and pleasant and attentive. Highly recommend!“

“If you're craving authentic Vietnamese bột chiên, this place is a must-try! The dish tastes just like the ones you'd find in Vietnam (as per my husband cause he’s Vietnamese)—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and full of flavor. On top of that, the owner/server are incredibly friendly and accommodating, (my hubby accidentally spill the hot tea in the table but they’re kind enough to help us clean it) making the experience even better. “Ironically, I have never had the pho here before, but I have ordered several sandwhiches. The sandwhiches are not traditional banh mi as they deviate from basic ingredients. However. The bread is always hot and crisp, and the meats are served hot. I recommend the beef satay sandwhich.“
