“Da De O is absolutely phenomenal. If you happen to be reading this review, just go eat there immediately!! You will be SO glad you did. My fiancé and I were in yesterday for lunch and we were beyond blown away. Honestly, the Da De O combo I ordered was by far the best meal I’ve EVER eaten in my life. I have spent significant time in New Orleans and my food at Da De O was tastier and more flavorful than anything I ate there. It’s in a whole different universe. My fiancé adored his Fabio combo as well. He said the fried chicken was unbelievable. The flavor, spices, quality of everything they served us… absolutely top notch!! Every single part of my dish complimented the other parts, playing together flawlessly. They know what they’re doing at Da De O that’s for sure. Just go there already!!“

“Downtown dining week in Edmonton has been a success so far. Dinner at Envie was overall quite good. The crab cakes were a bit disappointing. They were overcooked and quite dry around the edges. The crabmeat had the texture of a tuna salad sandwich; there were no lumps of crab meat at all. The flavour was good and the mango salsa was fantastic. The macaroni and cheese was quite creamy and contained plenty of cheese but it lacked seasoning. The Envie Jambalaya was my main course and it was delicious. I had reservations about the sausage since it was not a true double smoked Andouille. Apparently they make their own sausage at Envie, so I was more than willing to overlook that. It was excellent but lacked the smokiness I would normally expect. Our desserts were pecan pie and chocolate mousse. Both were delicious and just the right portion size. The mousse was definitely the star between the two. It was rich and creamy, had an incredible depth of chocolate flavour and didn't use too much sugar. The restaurant is nicely decorated and comfortable to sit in and visit with your dining companions. Our server, Ella, was wonderful and incredibly patient with all my questions. Aside from one or two food concerns, the biggest problem of the evening was the cost of parking in the lot beside the hotel.“

“We stopped over at Smoke BBQ + Bar on a Saturday evening after an Oilers win! We had the $65 Sharables Experience and loved every bit of it!We started with the Riblets which were delicious and fall off the bone tender. They were also much larger than expected. Bonus! The Riblets were followed by an amazing platter of smoked brisket, pulled pork, smoked chicken, Louisiana Andouille Pork Sausage, and the sides of Brussel Sprouts, delicious fries, and coleslaw. We finished our meal with Beinets (no sauce as we are dairy free). An amazing ? and delicious experience for certain! Thanks to the staff at Smoke BBQ +Bar for taking care of us, and to Downtown Dining Week as well for making this off menu platter available.Note: I won a GC for the $65 Sharables Experience.Dietary restrictions: The staff was wonderful in addressing our no dairy requirements!“

“Amazing first time at Rocky Mountain Ice house! originally went to cask & barrel and the waitress recommended to go here for the larger menu. our server was absolutely the best. they have the best crab cakes I've ever had! Not overcooked, not burnt or greasy and perfect portion for the price. I also had the pork belly with the smashed potatoes, holy smokes were they delicious! my date had the Southern fried chicken and the mac and cheese. the only thing I recommend is the mac and cheese needs to be cheesier! so nice to have a slice of watermelon on the side. the watermelon Caesar salad is also really really good!! Definitely coming back.“
