“I went here for the fried chicken skins and they did not disappoint. They were amazing, fried to perfection. Not so crisp that they shattered when you bit into them, or slightly soft and chewy like I have had in other places, and only $5 a plate. They were so good I had to have 2 orders. My pink pony-ade was dangerously delicious and on a warm summer night they went down extremely fast. Our server was fantastic! In a busy room she was still on top of things. Plates and glasses were cleared quickly, and beverage refills were even accompanied by a change of coasters, which is a step above in my books. To top it all off, it was open mic night and the local talent was fantastic. What a great downtown spot. We will be back again!“

“We had my brother’s stag at Match Pub & Eatery and had such an amazing experience! We were able to have dinner and drinks upstairs in the private area (for our group of 15-20) which came with our own pool table and bar, at no extra cost. The atmosphere was awesome and it was the perfect space for our group.
A huge shoutout to our server, Marissa! She was outstanding. She was incredibly friendly, kept everything moving quickly, brought our food and drinks out fast, and even handled separate bills for everyone in our group, which made things so much easier. The food was great too - everyone enjoyed their meals!

“Magically, we were from out of town and found exactly what we were looking for. We came in near the end of the night for a bite and a drink, our bartender Ben never once made us feel like we were keeping him, made sure that we had time to order food and kept us company until last call. “Went to Casselwood Pub 4 times back in 2017 and 2018. Our group thought the food was great and the atmosphere was okay, but the waitress, (I believe her name was Tanya) was absolutely amazing. Yes she forgot my wife's Fish and Chips, but she had such a heartfelt apology and and such an amazing presence that my wife and I went back multiple times afterward. We would still be going there if I hadn't been forced to move to the East Coast. I'm still not sure whether it was the food or the waitress but my wife and I believe it was Tanya.“

“One of our favourite spots in Edmonton, and by far our favourite place for pool. Hard to beat an hour free of pool/darts in a proper pub atmosphere.

Love the staff, they are super friendly and accommodating. Feels like going to a friend’s place and having them host rather than the formal server/client dynamics.

Wish it got more love, it’s never very busy and I’d hate to see it gone. It’s truly a hidden gem.“

“It's a staple of the area, I used to buy pizza from there nearly 20 years ago I was pleased to see very reasonable prices for the food and drink!

I ordered a chicken and mushroom pizza and it did not disappoint, the drinks were cold and generous and the host was incredibly friendly, as were the bar staff.

“This was our first eating here and it won't be the last. This is gonna be our new go to spot to eat now. We had a large group celebrating my son's 18th birthday and the food, service, staff, and environment was incredible. Every dish we ordered was amazing so yummy. Our waitress was attentive to make my son's birthday special. We didn't have to wait long for our food after we ordered despite it being extremely busy. My only negative feedback was that the large pan of nachos had very little toppings, barely any cheese. Load the nachos and it would have been good. Other than that I highly recommend Hudsons Canadian pub.“
