“The pizza is the best I’ve had in Alberta so far. I grew up in Ontario and the pizza is different there than it is here. I’m used to thin crust pizzas with the toppings on top and different cheese. This pizza is awesome. Checks all the boxes. You won’t be disappointed“

“Stay at the Best Western where runway 29 is and the service is always awesome and super friendly, the food is excellent and consistently that way. The place feels like a mom and pop dinner and is in my opinion one of Edmontons best kept secrets.

Vegetarian options: I’m not a vegetarian but saw the veggie burgers on the menu and considered it.

“This place is like your local cheers where everybody knows your name lol I met my dad here for lunch and had a buffalo chicken wrap. It was absolutely delicious. The waitress was really lovely, attentive and super kind. It's a little hole in the wall. You can gamble watch a game. Watch the horse races and hang out with friends and they have brunch until 12:00 p.m. at a really low price everyday.“

“Me and my friend were looking for a place to have a drink and some food after work late at night and we ended up at uncle Glenn’s. best decision we made ever made. The food was amazing and the service was even better. Our bartender/server/cook Jax was incredible. She was so welcoming and friendly and sociable! She made our entire night. We stayed for more than one drink which was not the plan but what an amazing night we had. After this experience we decided that Uncle Glenn’s is going to be our late night spot moving forward. What an amazing hidden gem. We will absolutely be back and probably with friends, and I hope Jax is there to greet us. Best service I’ve ever had.“

“Been here a couple of time for their STOMP goth nights. The bartender usually comes up and greets us and asks if they can get anything for us. Granted we are usually some of the first people there, so i can't say they do this with everyone. But either way, great service. They seem to run outta things at odd times, they didn't have orange juice once, and one of the tenders didn't know what a Shirley Temple was, which i found a lil weird, but go off i suppose. Not necessarily a bad atmosphere, solid stoney plan road pub vibe, but very welcoming during their goth nights at least. Reasonably priced drinks, i didn't see any significant vegan options, but there are at least deep fried things like fries and onion ring (? The nights are usually pretty blurred, but I'm pretty sure we had onion rings at some point). There is no accessible entrance or ramp. But the curbs are relatively short at the far end of the lot

“My sister , my mom and I decided to have an evening out . We don't often do . And we were so glad to find Ashford house pub. The food was great , the coffee for me did it. It was fresh and hot and so good . The Carrot ? cake was delicious. And overall the service. Our waitress was kind and attentive. We are totally coming back and recommend it. “It's just a friendly neighborhood pub with a friendly clientele. I walked in and almost felt like Norm from Cheers. There were lits of tables but it made more sense to sit at the bar. I enjoyed a tasty baked lasagna made in a bar style, but packed with flavour and really cheap. Lasagna and two root beers cost me 12 bucks, and it was way better than fast food.The lady at the bar was super friendly, making everyone feel welcome. The apparent owner really went out of his way to check in on everyone and make sure it was all good. Top marks for friendliest place to enjoy a decent meal and good company.“

“I’ve been a near-daily regular since April of 2023 and after one year I can still* happily & confidently say that Knights Pub is the best “hole in the wall” that North Edmonton has to offer.

The staff are all* incredible - every bar tender has their own vibe but they still mesh well together.

$6 pints ($5 or so for bottles!), absolutely delicious food with LARGE portions at SMALL prices! The atmosphere is mellow and their pool tables / VLT’s are great.

You’re surely missing out if you don’t stop by sometime for a game, a bite, or a beverage.“

We came in near the end of the night for a bite and a drink, our bartender Ben never once made us feel like we were keeping him, made sure that we had time to order food and kept us company until last call. Tour of bars in the area a few times and hit this place up ... id go again for sure ?... stoney plain rd. Back then was alot better for the little cozy bars or hole in the wall bars ?... always heard it can get crazy and be careful but we never ever had a problem when we went and did the strip ... just saying ? ? ?“

Large dining area with a massive bar and a stage in the back for performers. Food is delicious with a wide selection of drinks and engaging staff. A great place to go for a casual but fun night downtown.“

“We went for dinner before the CCMA awards and decided to give this place a try. Service was really good. She was friendly, refilled our water when low, came to make sure we were good but also left us have our own time to eat and enjoy. I had the fish sandwich and I was surprised that it was very filling and had Wonderful flavor. I would order it again. It was $20 for a fish burger and fries. Good portion.“

“During out trip to Edmonton last May, it was getting pretty late but we were craving some good vegan food and drinks.....thankfully The Buckingham (@thebuckonwhyte ) on the eclectic Whyte Avenue .. was open for the save! Their food is 100% vegan, what you might expect to find in a diner or bar, decadent and hearty hearty hearty! If you want healthy, they do have three salad options to choose from. We went with the Buffalo Mac'n'Cheese, Poutine, Chkn Wings and ....oh my ... Deep Fried Oreos. We don't really have vegan Poutine options here in Seattle (if you know of any, please do drop a note in the comments section letting me know where) so it's always a treat going to Canada and comparing the various Poutine options as pretty much every vegan place has their own take. If you haven't been to visit yet, you owe it to yourself to try them out. If you find yourself visiting Edmonton, make a point to visit Whyte Avenue and walk up and down the strip checking out all of the store and most definitely, including The Buckingham in your visit. “We enjoyed our food. Both myself and my friend have dietary restrictions and there are still several dishes to choose from. The fish and chips batter does not have dairy in it, in case you need to know! And it's good. Lettuce burger "buns" are available and there are vegan and vegetarian dishes. My friend enjoyed the poke bowl, though a bit spicy for their taste. So if you're used to no spice it's a bit much but otherwise very tasty. Service was friendly and prompt. Bathrooms are impressive.“
