“I had the chicken sandwich with notes of mustard paired with an apple strudel.

The ingredients within the sandwich presented a bouquet of different flavors that weren't trying to compete, instead complimented eachother. The bread added to the savoury complexities laid on my palette.

Looking back the apple strudel, warmed, was reminiscent of walking down those iconic cobble stone streets in Paris, as the smell of laughter and baguettes enticed me from one bakery to the next.

“We are from out of town so I was looking online for a place to order from and came across wild rose cakes. The ordering process was so easy and confirmed in a timely manner. Then we actually got the cake. Wow! So beautiful and perfect! We chose the flavour Strawberry Champagne and it did not disappoint. It was so amazing. The icing was so amazing. It was just a wonderful experience and made my daughter’s 18th celebration that much more perfect. So thank you so very much! 100% recommend this place for your next cake!“

“It’s really great to finally have a bakery in the neighborhood again 🥐😊 We stopped by on opening day, and although the croissants weren’t ready right away, we decided to wait — and we’re very glad we did! They turned out to be absolutely delicious once they came out fresh.

The croissants were a little larger than the typical ones you might expect, but the flavor was excellent and definitely worth it. Light, buttery, and very satisfying 😋 The pain au chocolat was also fantastic 🍫 — perfectly baked with a rich chocolate filling that made it hard to stop at just one.

We haven’t had a chance to try the breads yet, but they looked and smelled amazing while we were there. Everything in the bakery seemed fresh and tempting. I’m really excited to come back and try more of their baked goods! 👍“

“Located in the Ritchie Market, this is a smaller retail outlet for the Duchess Bake Shop. Not as big of a selection of items as their main bakery on 124 Street but still the same great quality. We tried a number items and they were excellent. On a weekday (Thursday), there was ample free parking in the Ritchie Market parking lot across the street. On a weekend I would imagine parking may be more difficult to find.“

“I have been to this wonderful place a few times now and each time the food is fresh and tasty. I love the custard steam buns the most! They are light, fluffy, and delicious! It is even better than my mom's baking. My mom is an excellent cook and at baking, but their steam buns have me coming back for more. The other dishes I have tried are the century egg pork congee and a few other dim sum dishes and they are all very tasty! My go to place when I need some authentic home cooked food dishes that I don't have time or energy to do.“

“I only gave it 4 stars and not 5 because of its inconsistency. Specifically the red bean pastries. Sometimes, they are the best, moist red bean paste inside fluffy pastry. And other times, it is SO dry inside. I can't figure out why there are times when it's dry. It's as if there are two chefs working there and one makes it really dry and doesn't know how to make them and the other knows the recipe and makes them perfectly.
