“I had to leave a review to recognize the outstanding customer service I received from Maira at Roots Store #270 in West Edmonton Mall.

I was trying to place a fairly large Christmas order for the new limited-edition Pit Stop Summer '26 collection—very popular items that couldn't be guaranteed to stay in my cart. I was getting pretty stressed! To make matters worse, I couldn't get the website to accept my gift cards. The online chat wasn't helpful, and the 1-800 customer service line wasn't available because it was a civic holiday.

As a last resort, I called my favourite Roots store in West Edmonton Mall, and I'm so glad I did.

Maira was absolutely amazing. She was patient, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable. She took the time to review my customer profile and quickly discovered it needed an update—something I never would have thought to check, especially since there was nothing on my screen indicating there was a problem. Her intuition and willingness to dig a little deeper made all the difference.

In less than 10 minutes, she had everything sorted out, and I was able to place my Christmas order successfully!

The thing that impressed me most is that Maira works in a retail store. She didn't have to stay on the phone and provide the level of support she did, but she chose to, and I am so grateful.
