My brain had fireworks going off the entire time I was there tasting everything I had ordered from the duck and beef tataki to the 5 assorted sashimi and the aburi saba. It was "chef's kiss". If you're new to Edmonton and love Japanese styled and inspired foods you HAVE TO COME HERE. Reservations highly encouraged we got lucky to get in as quick as we did without one, but this place is VERY popular.“

“Best experience I have had at a restaurant in a long time. We sat and had delicious cocktails, all dealers choice, and a heaping plate of charcuterie. Next we moved onto the bar seating, and sat, and drank, and watched the bar tender make amazing cocktail after cocktail. The food was too good, we re-explored the menu instead of opting for dessert. “From beginning to end, this was an exceptional dining experience. The food was outstanding, the atmosphere was wonderful, and the level of hospitality made the evening truly memorable.

Our server, Mark, was phenomenal. His knowledge and passion for the menu were remarkable. He described each dish with such incredible detail that you could practically taste it straight off the menu before it even arrived at the table. His enthusiasm was infectious, his recommendations were thoughtful, and his attentive service made us feel genuinely looked after throughout the evening.

Then the kitchen took our experience to another level. To our surprise, they sent out dishes we hadn't even ordered as complimentary tastings from the chef. It was such an unexpected and generous gesture and gave us the opportunity to experience even more of what the kitchen had to offer.

Between the incredible food, Mark's exceptional service, and the thoughtfulness and generosity of the kitchen team, we felt completely spoiled.

“Happy hour is amazing! 3-6pm great place to duck in out of the heat on a Saturday afternoon. Ribs and garlic knots are delicious. The Scona Ruby is a very tasty red ale.“

“The food was good, and the tacos were tasty, but I found them a bit overpriced for the portion. I also wish they had more selections on the menu.

It was quite busy when we visited on the weekend, and seating is limited, so I’d recommend making a reservation ahead of time if you’re planning to go.

“We came here for appies on our wedding anniversary. The food and service was great! The server Kathryn asked what we did for our special day and we mentioned that we got desert and drinks at another restaurant first. She asked how it was and I mentioned that the espresso martini was not as good as I hoped at the earlier restaurant. She put that in the back of her mind and asked if we wanted a free desert for our anniversary. I declined as we already had one earlier. She then spoke with the manager and was able to offer a free espresso martini to see if it was yummier than my earlier one. I happily accepted, loving how she personalized our date even more than she had to. I can confirm, the espresso martini at Earls was my favourite of the night for sure. Thanks so much Kathryn!“

The dining room has this cozy exposed-brick vibe that made the wait for a table feel worth it, and the bone marrow appetizer was easily one of the best things I ate on the whole trip. She took the dessert on the house because she thought she was very busy with other tables, but honestly, I didn’t notice so she was efficient. Big gesture for a small (non) inconvenience.

He read our table right away, nailed every recommendation, and kept us laughing. The drinks were top shelf and the food followed without question. Now let's discuss the service ... actually noticed and handled with the utmost professionalism... a waitress who new what she was talking about and could explain the food drinks to a point that everything sounded unbelievable then to have 2 drink made specially for us by the bartender and then to even have him come describe them and nail each personality was the most delightful experience ever.
